Chapter 08
Erica's POV
“What did you do to him, you bastards!” I shouted angrily.
“I'm the one you should kill, not him!” My anger exploded when I saw Jayden fall down in front of my eyes. How could I remain calm when my savior gave his life just to protect me?
Actually, I didn't want to leave the room. My body was still very weak, but my mind was in turmoil.
Hearing the cries of battle and smelling the increasingly pungent smell of blood made me unable to continue hiding like a coward in my room.
However, when I arrived at the battlefield, what did I see? I witnessed the only person who was willing to give his life for a stranger like me get hurt right in front of my eyes.
Jayden was injured by the reckless werewolves, the werewolves that I had been protecting with my own life, and now they all wanted to take my life too.
Seeing the person who was there to protect me for the first time really made the anger inside me uncontrollable. I felt a very strong emotional turmoil inside my body.
The emotional turmoil was not only strong, but also very intense, and I felt again that this time there was something inside me that was trying to explode.
The feeling made my hands shake, but I didn't care. Right now, I only had one thought in my mind: to protect Jayden, who was already injured.
Without thinking twice, I immediately entered the battlefield and stood in front of Jayden, who had fallen. I went into battle mode.
My body was also becoming increasingly painful, and something inside me felt like it was about to explode.
“What did you do to him, you bastards!” I shouted angrily, and without further ado, I immediately attacked the wolf who had attacked Jayden so brutally.
The blood flowing from Jayden's body drove me crazy. I no longer felt the pain in my body because, for me now, protecting Jayden and the Ruby Pack was my duty.
Entering the battlefield unprepared, my body was immediately attacked brutally by the Cendana Pack, who were in a rage.
“Erica, don't do anything stupid!” I heard Jayden trying to get up, and he was now trying to stretch out his arms to protect me, who was now being targeted by the five werewolves surrounding me.
“No, Jayden, don't do this.” I tried to push Jayden away from me. I wouldn't let him get hurt again because of me.
“You idiot! At least if I die, I die protecting you! Watch out!” Jayden shouted as he pushed me away.
What Jayden did caused his body to be injured again as the crazy werewolves attacked him brutally.
The anger inside me boiled over, and I didn't even realize that my body was suddenly glowing. My mind was focused on only one thing: saving Jayden.
Ignoring my pain, I began to act like an out-of-control wolf, attacking anyone who tried to approach and attack Jayden.
I didn't care about the attacks and scratches I received, my eyes truly radiated a very strong aura of murder.
“Erica, watch out!” I was so focused on attacking the werewolf in front of me that I didn't realize there was another wolf attacking my back.
I almost died, but Jayden sacrificed his body to shield me.
Seeing Jayden fall again, I completely lost my sanity.
“YOU DESERVE TO DIE!” I shouted uncontrollably, not even realizing that my body was emitting an intense golden light.
With a single movement, I spun my body and released a killer aura that, without me realizing it, had killed all the enemy wolves there with just one attack.
“Erica!” Jayden's shout made me realize that after making a movement I wasn't aware of, my body began to slump and fall. Jayden caught me with his wounded body.
“Erica, please don't close your eyes.”
I heard Jayden's shout, but my eyes felt so heavy that I finally felt darkness quickly engulf my consciousness, and I also forced a smile so that Jayden wouldn't worry about my condition.
I don't know how much time has passed, but now I open my eyes in a very unfamiliar place.
This place is very cool, and the waterfall in front of my eyes really tempts me to wet my body there.
Without me realizing it, the silence of this place makes me very calm. Even the waterfall in front of me seems to be calling me.
I slowly approached the waterfall, but before I could actually step into the beautiful waterfall, my eyes noticed something behind it that caught my attention.
Without thinking twice, I confidently stepped towards the waterfall.
I didn't even realize that my body was almost completely submerged, but I had only one thought in my mind: to try to reach the clear waterfall that I was about to achieve.
“Erica, stop!” A woman's scream made me realize that I was about to drown.
“Ahhhh!” Because I was too focused on the waterfall in front of me, I slipped without realizing it.
I began to feel that the water would take my life. I began to give up, but when I closed my eyes, I felt the water that was about to enter my lungs begin to disappear, and I felt as if my body was being dragged by something.
“Erica, wake up, you idiot!” the woman's voice shouted again, making me even more curious about who she was, and I also began to feel as if my face was being licked by a large dog.
“I'm not a stupid dog! Open your eyes quickly before I really bite you!”
I didn't understand why the voice seemed to know what I was thinking, and I began to feel that the big dog's licking was getting rougher and more impatient.
“Open your eyes now or I'll really leave you, Erica!” The threatening voice made me force myself to open my eyes.
I don't know if it was because of the trauma of being abandoned or something else, but I still felt afraid of losing something.
With a little difficulty, I finally managed to open my eyes.
When I managed to open my eyes, I immediately saw a very beautiful silver wolf staring at me intently. Its gaze mesmerized me because I felt very familiar with it.
“Wake up, you idiot! How long are you going to act like this?”
Now I realized that the voice that had been ringing in my ears came from this beautiful wolf.
“Who are you?” I asked softly because I didn't recognize her. I mean, I had never met a wolf as beautiful and elegant as her. In fact, I felt that the beautiful wolf I had seen before was nowhere near as beautiful as the silver wolf standing in front of me now.
“Have we met before?” I asked again because the wolf remained silent and continued to stare at me intently.
