Chapter 2 New Friend

Omniscient narrative

"I'm on my way, I just have to grab breakfast before I head out" Vincent spoke over the phone as he descended down the stairs.

The Caucasian man walked to the dinning area, his brief case in his right hand and his phone in the left.

"Morning baby" Vincent greeted his husband before he gave him a pecked on his forehead.

"Morning" Kai greeted back, a smile on his face as he stared at his husband.

"Austin" Kai yelled for his son as his husband grabbed a chair to sit on.

"I'm coming" yelled the now fully dressed man.

Austin walked down to meet his parents who had already taken their seats at the table ready for breakfast.

"Is Joey coming over?" Kai asked serving Vincent his plate. It has been a tradition for years now ever since Joey got kicked out for his 'lifestyle', to have breakfast with the Gregg family.

"Yep and he's bringing his cousin who's visiting and happens to be a new friend of mine" Austin answered taking a bite of the turkey bacon, happily dancing at the taste of the of the seasoned dried meat on his tongue.

"A new friend?" Kai asked intrigued, Austin never mentioned this new friend to him and they had just went for manipedies.

"Yes, he's staying with Joey for a while, he moved here a few days ago, he might even transfer to our university " Austin shrugged still eating.

"Isn't it too late to transfer school? Well assuming he's transferring to senior year? Am I right?" Vincent asked his son, his eyes fixed to the plate of food in front of him, not even sparing his son a glance as he spoke.

"Yeah, but he's like really smart, so I'm sure the school can make it work" Austin answered making Kai 'oh' and Vincent to give an approved nod.

Ding

The three men heard the door ring, no one made an attempt to get it

Kai stared at his son whose attention was on his plate of food, pretending to not hear the doorbell.

Ding

"Fine I'll go get the door" Kai groaned before getting up and glaring at his son who in return gave his dad a wide toothy smile.

"Seeing as they are my friends" he added walking to the door with a loud scoff, he made sure to walk close to Austin's chair and gave him a pinch on the neck .

"Ouch" Austin yelled as his hand immediately went to the back of his head, massaging the aching place.

"Serves you right" Kai yelled making Austin roll his eyes as he giggled to open the door.

The short man walked to the door and with an annoyed look opened the door for the usual resident and his supposed cousin.

Standing at the other side was Joey, his son's long term boyfriend and basically his second son, and beside him was.....well he didn't know who he was, but damn did he look good.

"Good morning Mr Gregg" Joey politely greeted.

"It's Kai, Joey how many times do i gotta tell you to call me Kai or father in law if you want to play the cards right" Kai said offering him a small to which the dark skin man laughed.

"Sorry Mr Gre- Dad" he corrected himself, playfully raising his brows at the blond headed man in front of him.

"Much better, and who's this" he asked gesturing to the other boy who for some reason wouldn't stop staring at him.

"My cousin and our new addition, Aries" Joey said slapping Aries's back in a friendly way, making the tallest of the three glare at his cousin.

"Aries, this is Austin's dad Kaylin but we call him Kai or to me and Austin, Dad" he said moving  to Kaylin and giving him a side hug as he introduced him "and Dad this is Aries" Joey said pointing to his tall cousin.

"Nice to meet you Mr Gregg" Aries said offering Kai a small smile, his eyes not leaving the smaller blond man.

"Nice to meet you too Aries, the pleasure's all mine" Kai said as he moved to the side giving way to the two tall men in front of him.

"Please come in, breakfast is already on the table" he said walking them to the dinning area after shutting the door.

The short man walked with Joey to the kitchen talking about God knows what, unknown to the fact that the new guest was staring at his behind.
