Because he's been her shadow, during those lonely years. But she can't give him false hope.
"Let's go back to business. Let me sign those papers, and you can go." she diverts the topic.
Lance got up, but he didn't let go of her.
And the situation becomes more awkward.
She is sitting now on Lance's lap!
"Here's the paper, sign it, Ms. Nathalie." He handed the papers and the ball pen.
"Can you please let me go?" she asked angrily.
"Nope, And this is what I am telling you. I will be your shadow Love..." he said smiling and stole a kiss from her.
It's just a smack on her lips but she feels like going crazy.
If he becomes her shadow, she will be living in the agony of hell.
Because Lance will continue tempting her and test her patience.
That would be the death of her!
She signed the papers in a very awkward position.
And Lance just smiled while watching. her.
He is enjoying it while he is killing her.
"It's done, next time, Mr. Vergara. Let your secretary come to my house," she said frowning.
"No, unless you will go back to work. I will stop coming here. " This man won't stop until he gets what he wants!
"Lance, I'm already married," she said softly.
His face darkens and his smile fades away, replacing a very dangerous smirk.
"I don't care," he answers seriously.
He took the papers with her signature and left her room without looking back.
She cannot guess what he truly feels. If he's really sincere or just playing with her feelings.
Did she hurt Lance?
Is he angry?
She is hoping that after she dropped the news to him. He will not bother her anymore so that they can work peacefully.
"I'm sorry, Lance..." she whispers.
He grabbed her dress wildly. And tear it! Then her body was exposed. Making him crazy over her...
He lifted her and dropped her on his bed.
And kissed her hungrily.
She woke up panting and catching her breath. Those dreams again! It always haunted her for all these years.
She stands up and gets some water from her mini-fridge. She will be going crazy at their home.
She decided to go back to work and hoped that she will not see Lance in there!
She finally felt at ease when she didn't see him at the office.
He has a meeting outside and it's tentative if his meeting will be finished late or just in time.
She's praying that the meeting will end tomorrow!
So that she can work peacefully today.
She is busy typing some paperwork when suddenly someone covers her eyes.
Did she forget to close the door?
Why he is here? Who allowed him to come inside?
And where is her secretary?
Even if she didn't see him.
Her nose will always recognize his natural and familiar scent.
"Miss me..." He whispers huskily.
Temptation stay away from me! She shouted in her mind.
"How did you come in here?" she asked annoyed.
Lance uncover her eyes and turn around her swivel chair to face him.
"There's no need to ask for that. I can go wherever I want to go. I bought dinner, let's eat." he answer and shows her the food that he bought.
"No thanks, I will eat my dinner at home. Sally!" she called her secretary.
"I told all of them to go home. So, it's only the two of us doing overtime." He happily answered.
He is crazy! Nathalie felt nervous all of a sudden.
"No, I'm not crazy my love. We need to overtime." Showing her the contract of Chen Construction Company.
And now he can read minds?
Or you are crazy Nathalie? She's talking to herself again!
They only shared for a night and yet Lance still remembers all her favorite foods.
He peeled prawns and crabs for her.
In fairness, he is good at it.
While she is always struggling with peeling prawns.
They are happily eating when her phone suddenly rings.
It's Andrew!
She is not sure if she will answer the phone or not.
"Your hubby is calling, answer it." Lance looks angry and jealous while pouting his lips.
Her hands won't move a single inch.
She felt awkward and don't want to answer her phone.
But it's too late, Lance already accepted the video call button.
He wants to see the man who stole the love of his life.
"What did you do?" Nathalie asked.
He is meddling in her business.
But there's no choice at all. She needs to speak and say hello.
"Answer it." She can see that Lance was not in the mood anymore. He looks irritated and annoyed.
Why press the button if he will only get angry?
She has no choice but to show herself on camera. Lance is very silent while listening to their conversation.
"Hello, my dear wifey." Andrew greeted her while smiling sweetly.
Nathalie forces a smile. Hopefully, Andrew won't notice that she is only faking it.
"Hello, hubby. How're the kids?" she asks happily.
Then suddenly it becomes noisy at the other line. Two cute little twins showed up on the camera.
"Mommy!" They called Nathalie in chorus.
And she is very happy seeing her little ones.
She misses her kids, so much! but her
Dad needs her right now.
Andrew's business is there as well as his family who is also in France.
After their wedding, they decided to settle and live there.
And Nathalie agreed with it as she is avoiding someone too.
Or let us say, She wanted to hide from someone!
Lance is silently listening to her conversation with her husband and kids.
She didn't know what was he thinking at the moment.
And she doesn't want to know!
"Hello, babies, did you miss mommy?" she lovingly asked.
"Kevin, miss Mommy so much." Her babies are not a baby anymore.
They already grow up into fine and handsome kids.
But 6 years old is still a baby for Nathalie. Her cute little ones!

Kenneth is silent at the corner. He always has a tantrum.
Maybe it's because of the genes in their blood.
"Where's my baby Kenneth? Why so quiet?" Nathalie asks sweetly pretending that she didn't see Kenneth.
Baby Kenneth just shows her his signature smirk.
"Mommy doesn't love us, you left us in here," he said sadly.
"Oh, I love you baby, after you finish school you can have your vacation and follow here, Okay?" she asked.
Hoping that they will be happy when they hear the news.
Baby Kevin is happily jumping and very excited to fly in the Philippines.
But Baby Kenneth is just a typical quiet little boy.
