Chapter 5 Vampire’s Mate

My blood boiled at what Enid said.

"I don't belong to him! No one owns me!" I shouted at them.

"Accept it, Saera. The whole kingdom of Igor Wisteria needs you. The kingdom will be more stable when your presence is here. You're not just an ordinary vampire, Saera. The moment the blood of four women from the other world comes together, you can do anything you want. You four women are the power of the entire empire. You can't run from this."

This conversation is getting deeper and deeper. And I understand less and less.

"I don't want this. I don't want this."

My tears started to fall again. I don't want to live in the dark. I don't want to live by drinking blood. Damn. I'd rather die.

"She's hard to explain to, Astrid. Shouldn't Dimitri talk to her instead?"

Dimitri? My grandfather's name.

"No," Elliot answered me.

"If that's the case, I have more questions. Why is Kaizer in chains if you rule here? Why did you say he was dying when you picked me up?" I asked seriously.

"He's in chains because he has victimized many women throughout the Igor Wisteria territory. The women Kaizer has bitten are countless. And he kills most of them because of the blood he needs."

I trembled at what Astrid said. Shit. I might end up like the women he bit.

"Tsss, Astrid. Kaizer will be angry at you, you're badmouthing him to Saera. Your story is wrong again. It's like this, Saera. The moment you turn seventeen. This is the day we find out which man in the kingdom is destined for you. When the mark appeared on Kaizer, he started to thirst for your blood. I didn't say anything to Enid's long explanation for a few minutes before I could find something to say again.

"Why didn't it look like he was waiting for blood when I arrived? He mistook me for a prostitute who would strip in front of him," I don't even know why I asked that. Damn.

"Astrid and I don't know anything about that. Maybe Randall and Travis are behind that. You know boys and their fangs," Enid replied, laughing.

"See what happened to him? Kaizer is strong now. I really thought that vampire would die. If you could only see how he moaned and begged us, saying he was going to die, 'find Saera,' 'I'm going to die,' 'I need her blood,' 'Find her,' 'I'm dying,' 'Just kill me, I can't wait anymore,' 'kill me,' 'I need her blood.' We know that Kaizer is exaggerated when he begs us. But you'll really feel sorry for him. He's like a fool dying," Astrid said, laughing.

"Damn, why didn't I see that?" Elliot said seriously.

"I was crying and laughing at the same time, his Highness felt so sorry for his brother that Randall pulled us away. Oh well, Randall and I panicked too."

"My purpose? Be his food," I replied flatly.

I couldn't keep up with what happened. All I felt was the sting from Astrid's slap on my cheek. I remained without reaction to what she did. Why? Was there something wrong with what I said?

"You'll never be his food. He's longing for you because you are his mate! Kaizer has waited a long time for you! My brother waited for you, and you're pushing him away? Is that how you talk to him?"

What the heck?! Did I tell him to wait for me?! Isn't it that I'm just food to him?

"I don't want to be here," Elliot complained. They all quickly went to the door.

"Do you know what Kaizer did to you earlier? It was not just a bite, it was a vampire kiss. Kaizer claimed you in front of the most powerful vampires in this whole kingdom. Tell me again? Are you really his food?" Astrid asked angrily.

"You can’t reject a Lancaster, Saera," Enid said, shaking her head.

They were like the wind and suddenly disappeared from my sight. I just lay down again and started to cry. I don't want this. As I was crying, I immediately felt someone sit on the bed.

"Saera..."

I know that voice. Just his voice, my whole body system is in chaos. It's like it wants to be completely under him. Fuck.

I got up and couldn't look him in the eye. Am I in lust with him?

"Kaizer..."

I couldn't protest when he quickly pulled me and trapped me in his arms. I weakly hit him. I can't understand myself anymore.

"I'm annoyed, I'm annoyed with you. I'm annoyed with myself. What have you done to me, Kaizer? I'm angry at you because you made me like this. But...but...fuck! What have you done to me? Your fangs are addictive, Kaizer. Please bite me again..."
