I barged into Lorcan's office without knocking, anger written on my face. I was going to demand an explanation from him whether he liked it or not.

"Where have you been spending your nights? In another woman's bed?" He jerked back from his chair.

"What are you talking about Alisa? Have you gone mad?"

"Oh, now I'm the one who is mad?"

"What the heck are you saying? You just barged into my office screaming and accusing me"

"I just want to know the woman you've been seeing or am I lying?"

"C'mon Ally, I've been busy working to make this pack a better place for you, me, and everyone. What gives you the impression that I've been with other women? Did someone tell you?" She shook his head in disappointment and my anger died off immediately.

"N-no one. I thought that.... It's because you have not been coming to our bed, you have withdrawn from me lately"

"This shows the little trust you have for me. How could you even think of such? It's this how it's going to be when we get married? If I don't come back for some days then you'll assume I'm with other women? Is that how we'll spend the rest of our lives?" His tone was filled with disappointment and I felt bad.

"I'm so sorry Lorcan. I don't even know what got into me. I trust you more than I trust any other person in the world. It's just that I didn't know what to think anymore. I was so worried about you and when I asked you, you refused to tell me"

"That's because I didn't want you to be bothered or worried. The Ceremony is at the corner and I know you must be thinking a lot about it. I didn't want to add to it"

"I don't mind. You could have spoken to me and I would have understood rather than kept me in the dark. You haven't touched me in days. I thought you found someone else" he cupped my cheeks in his hand.

"There's no one else except you and there'll be no one else in this lifetime. You are the only one for me" he said soothingly and I embraced him.

"I'm so sorry. Don't ever shut me out like that. If there is any problem share it with me" I sobbed on his shirt.

"I'm sorry too for making you worried. I promise not to make you worry in the future" I looked up at him and his lips captured mine in a deep kiss. Our tongues swirled and I ran my hand through his hair before he pulled back. His touch was cold but I ignored the feeling.

"I've missed you" I could hear the desire in his voice or had I imagined it?

"I missed you too. I also wanted to know if the ceremony would still take place or if we should postpone it until everything is sorted out?"

"Of course, the ceremony would still hold. I can't wait any longer to completely make you mine and I also don't want you to take part in the preparation. I've hired people for that. Just get yourself the most beautiful dress and look beautiful for me that day" I blushed at that.

"I'll do as you say"

"I was thinking if you and Marie could wear matching outfits" I looked at him like he had grown a second head.

"Marie? Why do you want Marie and me to wear matching outfits"

"It's just an idea. I thought you would like the idea because she is your best friend and you women love things like that" I gave him a very wide smile. He was truly a wonderful man and the best mate anyone could ever ask for. He knew the things I loved.

"Thank you so much for that wonderful idea and also for making my dream come true. I couldn't ask for a better mate" he smiled at that.

"I just want to see you happy," he said gave me a light peck on my lips.

"What do you want for dinner, let me make it for you to tell you how sorry I am for doubting you"

"There's no need for that. You don't have to stress yourself"

"I insist. That's the least I can do to show you how sorry I am"

"I can think of other things," he said winking at me. I understood what he meant but I insisted on dinner.

"You'll need energy to do other things" I equally winked at him and he smiled.

"If you insist then, I'd like lamb chops and broth with red wine if you don't mind. I want dessert too and you know what I like best for dessert"

"Consider it done, Alpha. Don't forget to conclude all your work. There'll be no sleep for you this night" I said seductively.

"I don't mind leaving work for a few days when I know what you're offering" I laughed at that.

"One more thing. I wanted to ask you if Marie can stay in the house till after the ceremony. If you don't mind? I promise she'll stay out of your way" I said pouting. His expression changed and his body tensed but he quickly masked it.

"Sure"

"Are you sure because you don't look like you like the idea. If you don't want to then I'll forget about it"

"No, no. Invite her over. She's your best friend after all" I gave him one last peck on his lips before sauntering out of the room.

There was a huge smile on my face as I walked past the workers and they all had a questioning look on their faces but I didn't care what they thought. I couldn't believe how stupid I was to believe Lorcan had another woman and I accused him wrongly.

'I told you our mate loves us' my wolf said out of the blue after being quiet for a long time.

'I believe you. After the assurance he gave me in the office, I could never doubt his love again. He even let me invite Marie'

'He loves us' my wolf said happily.

I didn’t understand the nagging feeling, it was just like I didn’t believe my wolf’s words.
