My eyes flung open, landing on the ceiling. The room was dimly lit. Fresh air cooled into the room through the open window not far from the bed.

There was a dull ache in my neck from what Jones did to me. I felt a tightness in my right wrist, which made me glance up. My eyes widened a bit.
