Chapter 10

Audrey’s heart settled a little. She said eagerly, “Uncle, please take me with you!”

The cheetah looked troubled and shook its head. “No, it’s too dangerous. If anything goes wrong to you, Aida will blame us. We simply can’t take that responsibility.”

Audrey’s gaze was firm, her tone resolute. “Uncle, to be honest with you, I am Audrey Russell, Aida’s real sister. This time, I must go.”

“Are you a young lady?” The cheetah was full of doubt and couldn’t believe it easily.

“Yes, uncle, I really am Audrey Russell. Please take me with you. I’m very worried about Ada.” Audrey’s tone was full of urgency, and there was no hint of deception in her words.

The cheetah remained hesitant. He too had been a powerful figure in his time, and wouldn’t easily believe anything spoken so casually. “Miss Audrey, words must not be taken lightly. Some things require responsibility when spoken out loud.” Though he didn’t dare offend Audrey, he couldn’t blindly trust her claims either.

Audrey noticed his doubts. She immediately took off the Ice Tiger necklace around her neck and held it out to the cheetah. “I’m not lying to you. This is proof. I really am Audrey Russell.”

The cheetah took the necklace and examined it carefully. There was a character “Zhen” engraved on it. Clearly, this was an item that belonged to Ada. He suddenly remembered that Ada’s fire-dragon necklace had the character “Audrey” engraved on it. It all made sense now. Without any further doubts, he asked, “Does Ada know who you really are?”

“Yeah, she knows. For now, only the three of us know. Finn Townsend probably guessed as well. Once my parents start investigating, they’ll find out too. Everyone else isn’t aware yet,” Audrey said truthfully.

The cheetah nodded and stopped blocking her path. “Since you sisters are so close, I’ll take you with me. But remember, your own safety is most important. Don’t worry about anything else.”

“Hmm, I understand.” The two set off immediately, with a group of men in black following behind them. Audrey had never seen such a scene before. She felt both nervous and determined.

The car arrived at the entrance to the underground parking garage. Cheetah got out of the car with Audrey. The guard at the entrance recognized Cheetah and immediately went inside to report. Cheetah went up to the entrance and asked directly, “Is Ada inside?”

“Not bad,” the guard replied promptly.

The cheetah frowned and asked doubtfully, “How did you manage to bring her here this time? With Ada’s abilities, it shouldn’t have been easy for you.”

The guards were honest: “The boss ordered that Miss Russell be brought here unharmed. So we bribed someone to put drugs in her drink, and then brought her here in the car.”

“Drugging someone?” The cheetah’s tone instantly turned displeased.

“Yes, but Miss Russell has strong resistance to the medication. The effects of the drug lasted only for a short time. Don’t worry, she’s safe now.” The guard’s tone also revealed a hint of admiration for Ada.

The cheetah sighed in relief, then asked again, “What was the purpose of bringing her here?”

The guard grew impatient: “The boss hasn’t said anything yet. You’ll find out in a moment.”

The cheetah wanted to ask more, but suddenly, a familiar voice rang out: “Uncle, Audrey, what are you doing here?” Upon hearing this, Ada rushed outside immediately.

“Aida, you scared us to death!” Audrey’s eyes immediately filled with tears as she stepped forward quickly to take her hand.

Ida watched Audrey cry and was completely at a loss for what to do. “Audrey, please don’t cry. I’m fine. They didn’t do anything to me.”

“Aida, put aside your sisterly feelings for now. What have you thought about what I told you?” A deep male voice spoke. Abel Chapman, the dark-horse prince, slowly approached. “Whether you win or lose, both outcomes are beneficial for you.”

The cheetah frowned and asked, “What’s the matter?”

Abigail Chapman’s gaze fell on Ada, her eyes filled with deep affection. “I want her to compete with me in the Nine Turns of Death. If she wins, I’ll give her the entire Underworld City. All its members will be at her service, including me. If she loses, she’ll become my woman. I’ll cherish her, love her, and ensure her happiness for the rest of her life.”

Upon hearing this, Audrey quickly pleaded, “Ida, please don’t agree to him. It’s too dangerous!” In her mind, only bad people would use such tactics to force someone into something. She didn’t want Ida to take any risks.

Abigail Chapman turned around abruptly and yelled at Audrey, “You’d better not interrupt! If Eida refuses because of you, I definitely won’t spare you!” It was clear that Eida held a very important place in his heart, and he wouldn’t allow anyone to ruin this opportunity for her.

Ida was in a difficult situation. Audrey and Abigail Chapman were both very important to her, even more so than her own life. But in the end, she chose to stand by Audrey. The Russell family owed Audrey too much; they had to make amends little by little. “Abigail Chapman, what right do you have to shout at Audrey?” Ida said firmly. “If you ever speak to her disrespectfully again, I’ll never set foot in the Underground City again. And you won’t see me again either.”

After saying that, she turned to Audrey and asked softly, “Don’t you want me to reveal your identity?”

“It doesn’t matter whether I say anything or not. As long as we can be together like this, I don’t care about anything else,” Audrey said softly.

“I don’t care! I must say it!” Ada turned to Abigail Chapman. “I agreed to compete with you, but remember, she’s my own sister, Audrey Russell. She’s not someone you can just shout at.” Then, she said to the cheetah, “Uncle, from now on, she’s the lady of the Russell family. Her matters are just as important as mine, understand?”

“Yes, miss, I understand,” replied the cheetah respectfully.

Aida looked at Abigail Chapman and regained her composure. “Can we start the game now?”

“Anytime. You can choose your own car, and you can also choose mine. I’ll be completely fair to you.” Abigail Chapman’s kindness was always reserved solely for Ada.

Aida didn’t even glance at the car next to her. She got straight into the Porsche that the Chameleon had brought. And the car she chose for Abigail Chapman was none other than his black sports car.
