Chapter 3 I really hate seeing you in such a condition

“Oh okay baby…let me wait for you then but please don't take long…i love you,” his mom said.

“Okay mom i love you too,” he replied before hanging up.

“Call me kitty one more time babe and see what will happen to you,” I glared at him but he couldn't stop laughing which made me smile because how can you stay angry at such a person.

He put his hand around my shoulders and we moved inside the house…her mom was watching some TV show and when she heard us opening the door,she came running towards us so I had to step aside.

“Oh baby,good to have you back,” she squeezed her in a hug.

I slowly walked away from there because this woman is not a big fan of me and I just let them enjoy each other…I walked to our room and got changed in my nightgown because I was even feeling lazy to hit the bathroom.

I layed on bed for almost half an hour but Herman was nowhere to be seen…I tried to wait for him because I hate sleeping when he is not beside me.

“Ohh my kitty is still awake!!!” He came and laid besides me while resting his hand on my belly.

“Yah I was waiting for you,” I replied while resting my head on his chest.

“Come on babe,you shouldn't have…you know when I am with mom,she doesn't want to let go,” he pecked your forehead.

“Okay babe now take some rest my love,” he kissed me on the lips before pulling the covers over my body.

“Wait,where are you going?” I asked him.

“I'm going to work on some files before I sleep…but you grab some rest my love,I am going to join you in a few,” he sweetly replied.

“Okay babe goodnight…I love you,” I said in my sleepy voice.

“I love you too, my kitty,” he kissed me one more time.

I slept off and I don't know what happened next but I was later woken up by sun rays through the room curtains…I checked my phone and it was coming at 9 am!!! Damn I really slept like a princess and babe didn't even bother waking me up…that fool.

I rushed and did my morning routine then I went downstairs to grab something to eat before I head out to work.

“There's nothing like to eat in that fridge so I would advise you to just get your lazy ass out of the house and head to work already,” I heard his mom's voice from the living room and I had not even noticed her in the first place.

I closed the fridge and walked towards the door because I didn't want to create any scene or any trouble with this old woman.

“Ohh one more thing,when coming back in the evening,please eat your supper from there because you won't find your food here…hope I am clear?’ She arrogantly asked me.

I just scoffed then opened the door and stepped out…this woman is really becoming something else.

Before setting off,I got my phone and decided to call babe because he is the only one who could calm me down in such a situation.

“Hey babe you finally woke up?” He asked over the call.

“Yes my love.” I replied.

“Why this tone!?? Ohh let me guess,it is my mom right?” He asked me.

“Yah that's right,” I replied in a low tone.

“Okay I won't ask what exactly she did to ruin your mood but please do one thing for me and forget about her…you know she can only ruin your days when you let her to,so don't give her that authority please kitty…I really hate seeing you in such a condition,” he sounded really sweet and that's one of the reasons why I love him because he knows how to lift my moods.

“Okay babe thank you for this,at least I am feeling better now…will call you later on let me first reach work,” I said before hanging up.

I put my phone away and drove to my workplace to face another day.

This is my safe place because I found peace here and I really love my job…I am a business woman and this is the career I chose even though my dad wanted me to become a teacher but truly I didn't find any interest in it so I had to switch and follow my dreams so here we are and i am glad it worked out for me and he is so proud of me.
