Introduction
My daughter called her "Mommy," and in that moment, my heart shattered. They think I'm just a housewife who can't survive without the Johnsons, but they have no idea—Octavia is back!
Michael, are you ready for my revenge?
Chapter 1
At 10 PM, Olivia Smith turned off the TV that was broadcasting the charity gala.
The beautifully plated dishes on the dining table had long gone cold.
Just moments ago at the charity gala, Michael Johnson, the powerful head of the Johnson Group in Emerald City, had paid tens of millions of dollars for the legendary jewel "Celestial Dreams" and personally placed it around the neck of the popular designer Sophia Brown.
Sophia's eyes filled with tears as she expressed her heartfelt gratitude.
"Thank you to my best friend, Michael, and to the creator of this piece, Octavia. Although she has retired, this 'Celestial Dreams' will be the best gift I've ever received in my life."
Olivia watched this scene with an ambiguous smile.
Michael didn't know, and neither did Sophia.
The long-vanished jewelry design master "Octavia" was sitting right in front of the TV at this moment, watching her husband place her final masterpiece around another woman's neck.
What was even more ridiculous—
Her daughter Nina Johnson, whom she nearly died giving birth to, was wearing a princess dress designed by Sophia, running onto the stage with flowers.
Nina stood on her tiptoes and kissed Sophia. "Ms. Brown, you're so beautiful. You're the mommy in my heart!"
Children speak without thinking, but their words cut the deepest.
This was the result of giving up her career years ago to devote herself entirely to family.
Today was supposed to be her and Michael's sixth wedding anniversary.
She had started preparing for this day half a month in advance.
She had handmade a hair clip for her daughter—a cartoon character Nina had been begging for.
Yet her husband was accompanying another woman, basking in everyone's attention.
Her daughter was on stage calling another woman mommy.
Olivia lowered her head, her heart growing colder and colder.
She suddenly felt that these six years had been nothing but a complete joke.
She thought that if she was devoted enough, Michael's heart of stone would eventually warm up to her.
She thought that as long as she loved her daughter wholeheartedly, even if Michael didn't like her, Nina would at least be on her side.
But reality had slapped her hard in the face.
In Michael's eyes, she was nothing more than a housewife with no presence, dependent on him for survival.
In Nina's eyes, she—the mother who only knew how to discipline—couldn't compare to the gentle and generous Sophia who only bought her gifts.
Olivia thought she would cry.
But when she touched her face, there was nothing.
It turned out that when disappointment reached its limit, even tears would disappear.
She stood up and dumped all the food from the table into the trash, along with the hair clip.
Since no one cared, she might as well throw it all away.
Half an hour later, the sound of the fingerprint lock came from the entrance.
The door opened, and Michael walked in carrying the already-sleeping Nina in one arm.
Seeing Olivia sitting on the sofa, Michael frowned slightly.
He seemed to have completely forgotten what day it was.
"Why aren't you asleep yet?" Michael changed his shoes while keeping his voice low.
Olivia didn't answer, just quietly looked at him.
This man she had loved for ten years.
Those beautiful eyes that once captivated her now only showed impatience.
Michael handed Nina to the nanny who came forward, then turned around, loosened his tie, and headed upstairs.
As he passed Olivia, he didn't stop.
"Nina was tired from playing today. Sophia gave her a limited edition blind box set, and she really liked it. Tomorrow, don't scold the child over these little things again."
Hearing this, Olivia completely gave up hope.
She disciplined the child to correct the spoiled behavior that Sophia had deliberately encouraged in Nina.
But in Michael's eyes, this was just being harsh and boring.
"Michael." Olivia suddenly spoke, her voice very soft.
Michael paused and looked back at her. "What?"
Olivia raised her head, looking directly into the man's cold, proud eyes. "Let's get divorced."
The air froze.
Michael's eyes narrowed slightly, a trace of mockery flashing through them.
He didn't show surprise, but rather an air of "I knew it."
"Olivia, who upset you today? Or have you been idle at home for so long that this is the only way you know how to get my attention?"
In his view, Olivia couldn't survive without him.
She had no job and no social life, relying on the Johnson family tree to live a pampered life as a wealthy housewife.
Divorce?
What a joke.
Olivia looked at the man's matter-of-fact expression and felt that her past self must have been blind.
During that kidnapping years ago, she risked her life to save him, causing nerve damage to her right hand, which made her give up design completely.
Because the injury was so severe, she was unconscious in the hospital for three whole days.
When she woke up, Michael was thanking Sophia, who was sitting by his bedside, treating Sophia as his savior.
She had tried to explain.
But Michael didn't believe her. Instead, he said she was taking credit for someone else's work and was calculating.
From that moment on, in Michael's heart, she was just a vain woman trying to climb into the Johnson family. If not for the arranged marriage between their families, and if Michael's grandfather, Nicholas Johnson, hadn't chosen her, Michael would never have married her.
"I'm not joking." Olivia's tone was calm, without any emotion.
"Nina goes to you, I don't want any of the property. Just sign the papers."
Michael finally looked at her properly.
The woman was wearing simple home clothes, bare-faced, but it couldn't hide the elegance in her bones.
Only those eyes that used to be full of love were now like stagnant water.
This sense of losing control made Michael inexplicably irritated.
He sneered, reached into his suit pocket, pulled out a black card, and casually tossed it onto the table in front of Olivia.
"You watched the broadcast? Is this about that 'Celestial Dreams'? Olivia, can you not be so greedy?"
Michael looked down at her from above. "Sophia is a famous designer. That necklace can only show its value when worn by her. If I gave it to you, could you even appreciate it? Wouldn't that be a waste?"
"This card has no limit. Consider it compensation. Go to the mall tomorrow and buy more clothes. Stop looking so shabby all the time—you're embarrassing the Johnson family."
With that, he didn't spare Olivia another glance and strode upstairs.
A waste?
That was her creation.
No one in this world was more qualified to wear it than her.
Olivia looked at the black card on the table, her eyes showing no emotion.
Everyone in Emerald City knew that Michael was very generous to his wife.
But who knew?
This so-called generosity was just a way to brush her off.
The next second, Olivia picked up the scissors from the table.
"Snap."
The black card broke in two.
She threw the broken card into the trash, turned around, and went upstairs. She was about to get the agreement.
As she passed the children's room, the door was slightly ajar.
Nina was hiding under the covers, secretly sending voice messages on her phone watch.
"Ms. Brown, my dad didn't yell at me today, and he even praised the blind box as beautiful. I wish you were really my mom. That woman only makes me eat more vegetables. I hate her so much."
Olivia stood at the door, clenching her fists tightly.
Even though she had prepared herself mentally, hearing her daughter call her "that woman" still hurt deeply.
If this was how it was, she had nothing left to hold onto.
Walking to the study, she placed the divorce agreement she had prepared on Michael's desk.
Since Michael thought she was a parasitic vine dependent on him for survival.
She would show him that without him, Michael.
Who exactly Olivia really was!

Only then did panic flood his eyes as he begged me to stay.
When his calls bombarded my phone later that night, it wasn't me who answered, but my new boyfriend Julian.
"Don't you know," Julian chuckled into the receiver, "that a proper ex-boyfriend should be as quiet as the dead?"
George seethed through gritted teeth: "Put her on the phone!"
"I'm afraid that's impossible."
Julian dropped a gentle kiss on my sleeping form nestled against him. "She's exhausted. She just fell asleep."

The Human Among Wolves
My stomach twisted, but he wasn’t finished.
"You're just a pathetic little human," Zayn said, his words deliberate, each one hitting like a slap. "Spreading your legs for the first guy who bothers to notice you."
Heat rushed to my face, burning with humiliation. My chest ached — not from his words alone, but from the sick realization that I had trusted him. That I had let myself believe he was different.
I was so, so stupid.
