Chapter 1
He Chose My Best Friend. I Chose His Uncle.
My childhood fiancé chose my best friend in his family's sacred bridal draw, then told me I could still live with him—as his mistress. He wanted her as his wife and me running his empire. I refused. In seven days, I would marry someone else. And when he found out who the groom was, he would have to find a new way to address me.
Chapter 1
Before Nico Rinaldi reached into the velvet bridal box, I had already slipped my name out of it.
Our families had promised us to each other when we were children. He was the expected heir to the Rinaldi crime family; I was Serena Valenti, the daughter whose marriage would secure their alliance with mine. For years, everyone had treated our wedding as an unshakeable certainty. Until the night before the ceremony, so had I.
Then I'd found Nico with Livia Hart in the family's underground chapel.
Livia had been my best friend since school. I'd gone looking for the two people I trusted most, only to hear their muffled moans echoing behind the chapel door. I had stayed long enough to understand that my fiancé was sleeping with my friend. Then I'd left without letting them see me.
This morning, I wanted my name out of their hands.
The Rinaldis called the draw sacred: their prospective leader selected a bride's name before the family and accepted the result as God's will. It was their own custom, staged in the same chapel where their Dons swore their oaths. No one seemed troubled that, after a lifetime of promises, I was expected to submit to a lottery.
I folded my slip into my purse and took a seat.
When the guests had settled, Nico reached into the box. He drew a folded paper and handed it to one of his men without so much as a glance in my direction.
A woman in the row behind mine leaned toward her companion.
"It'll be Serena, of course. They've been engaged since they were children."
I kept my eyes on the paper.
"Serena, come here." Nico's mother, Gianna Rinaldi, held out her hand.
Guests smiled as I passed. Someone offered congratulations. I walked to the front of the chapel and stopped near the altar — the exact spot where Nico and Livia had been writhing together just hours earlier.
"Mrs. Rinaldi."
Gianna took my hand. "Don't be so distant. You can stop calling me that now. We're family."
"Maybe we should hear the name first."
Her smile faltered.
Nico's man unfolded the slip. "The woman chosen by God is Livia Hart."
For a few seconds, the silence in the hall was so absolute I could hear someone turning a page in the back row.
"Who is Livia Hart?" Gianna gasped, her eyes darting in disbelief. "Serena's friend? What is the meaning of this?"
Livia rose. Nico stepped down to meet her and drew her against his side.
"My bride, Mom. The one God chose."
Gianna released my hand. She looked from Livia to her son, then toward the waiting guests.
"A draw isn't something we should let determine the entire future of this family. Perhaps we should reconsider—"
"But this ceremony is sacred, Mrs. Rinaldi," I interrupted.
Nico looked at me then.
"You heard the result.” I told Gianna. “ If you overturn it now just because you don't like the name, aren't you making a mockery of your own traditions? People might call it a sacrilege."
Gianna lowered her voice. "Serena, you know I've always wanted you as my daughter-in-law."
"Mom, stop." Nico tightened his arm around Livia. "I've always thought of Serena as a sister. I never promised to marry her."
I had expected him to choose Livia. I hadn't expected him to stand there and tell everyone I'd invented us.
He met my eyes without a shred of embarrassment.
"I know you've had feelings for me since we were kids. But I never felt that way. You misunderstood."
On my eighteenth birthday, he'd led me into the garden, away from the music and our parents. He'd knelt on the grass and held both my hands.
"Once I'm in charge, Serena, I'll give you the wedding you deserve."
He hadn't been a child playing at marriage then. Neither had I.
My fingers curled against my palm. If I told that story now, he'd deny it too, and I'd be standing in front of both families begging a man to admit he'd wanted me.
I made myself look at Livia. She was wearing the small, worried smile she used when she wanted me to make something easier for her.
Not this.
"Then I'm sorry for the misunderstanding," I told Nico, forcing a polite smile..
He relaxed. He thought that was my surrender.
Instead, I turned toward the guests and raised my chin.
"In truth, my family secured another alliance weeks ago. My wedding will proceed in seven days."

My Perverse: You're mine, you son of a bitch
Vincenzo Valentini is a man who sees the world as a business counter and human beings as merchandise.
The owner of an empire built upon corpses and submission, he is the reflection of pure perversity.
When fate places Andrew Thompson, the son of his greatest rival, into his hands, the plan was simple: use him, break him, and discard him like a toy that has lost its appeal.
What Vincenzo did not expect was that, beneath the youthful skin and the appearance of innocence, Andrew hid the same abyss as he did.
Vincenzo never wanted redemption. He never wanted someone to save him from his own darkness. He was seeking a mirror. And in Andrew, he found the partner who, upon seeing his blood-stained hands, does not recoil in terror, but trembles with desire.
In this perverse game, the "little toy" proves to be the perfect executioner. The mafia leader found someone who not only accepts his cruel side but cultivates it, feeding the monster Vincenzo has always been.
Where there should have been fear, lust emerged. Where there should have been hatred, a perverse loyalty was born. Andrew Thompson is the dark reflection of Vincenzo, the soldier the underworld did not see coming, and the man who proved that, for some, paradise only makes sense if it is in the middle of chaos.
Vincenzo opened the doors to his empire, but Andrew was the only one capable of invading his heart.
They are not heroes. They are hell on earth.

I rushed to the restroom, locking myself in, praying the scent wouldn't leak. My hands shook as I dialed for help, but the door handle turned. Reign stood there. If he finds out what I really am, I’m dead.

The Rejected Luna’s Rise
Luna Ariana Volkstane slid the formal rejection request across the table. "Let's end this bond. It's better for you, me, and your first love."
He just smirked. "You want me to reject you? You think you can break our bond that easily?"
So she did. Ariana cut ties with him completely, poured herself into her career, and rose to global fame as a legendary healer, her knowledge of rare herbs, wolf anatomy, and ancient magic sought after across continents.
The powerful suitors lined up. The Alpha of an overseas empire whispered, "Ariana, hurry up and perform the severing ritual. I can't wait to claim you." A powerful pack leader vowed, "I'll be there with you the day you break the bond." A legendary wolf attorney promised, "I'll handle your rejection case with the pack council myself."
Ariana just rubbed her temples. It's not that she didn't want the split, she wanted it more than anything, it's just that the Alpha she was mated to refused to let go.
Finally, she announced, "Whoever can officially get me rejected, I'll put you at the head table of my bond-breaking celebration."
Not long after, Alpha Damian was served the official rejection request right in the middle of an emergency pack council meeting. That same afternoon, he was attacked by rogues at the gates of his own territory.
When Ariana showed up at the pack infirmary with healing herbs, she repeated calmly, "Let's sever the mate bond. It's better for you, me, and everyone else."
But the cold, untouchable Alpha pulled her into his arms, his eyes blood-red with fury. "You want me to reject you? Over my dead body."

When he claims her, it’s ecstasy and ruin.
For the first time, she believes she’s been accepted.
Seen.
Chosen.
Until he leaves her the next morning—
like a secret never to be spoken.

Not wolfless. Not weak.
There is something ancient inside her. Something powerful. And it’s waking.
And when it does—
they’ll all remember the girl they tried to erase.
Especially him.
She’ll be the dream he keeps chasing… the one thing that ever made him feel alive.

He says he is not afraid of fire. She says she is not afraid of ice. Maybe together, they can survive the storm that is coming for them both if she does not freeze him out first.
Taste of Fate: The Vampire King's Human Mate
He reached for the back of my head and pulled me up just enough to reach my neck. When his fangs slid into me, the pain was instant, electric. I couldn’t breathe. I couldn’t think. My hands found his shoulders, clawing for something to hold. My legs kicked. Tears streamed down my cheeks.
He moaned against my throat as he drank, and the sound was devastating.
