Jack Willems

Warning mention of blood ⚠️

---

Somewhere in New York

In a dark room, a man was doing push-ups. The entire place was silent, except for the voice of his secretary breaking through the stillness as he informed him of the day’s schedule.

“Sir, today you have a meeting with the CEO of Germans Industries, Mr. Justin Germans, at noon.”

Jack hummed in acknowledgment, signaling for him to continue. The secretary listed the rest of his schedule before falling silent, waiting for further instructions.

When Jack realized his secretary was still standing there, he stopped in the middle of his push-up.

“What are you waiting for? GET OUT!” he barked.

The man flinched, shivers running down his spine at his boss’s sudden outburst.

He immediately stammered out an apology for his unprofessional behavior and ran out of the room. Well, who wouldn’t? Facing the boss’s wrath this early in the morning wasn’t something anyone wanted.

Later, in the Mansion

The massive hall of his mansion was lined with servants, all standing in a perfect row. The silence was so thick that the ticking of the clock echoed across the room.

Then, the faint sound of footsteps echoed against the marble floor. That was enough to make everyone’s blood run cold. The devil was coming.

The servants immediately straightened their backs, their eyes cast down.

As Jack entered the hall, they greeted him with synchronized bows at ninety degrees. He didn’t acknowledge them—didn’t even glance in their direction. He simply walked to the dining table and sat down.

A young maid stepped forward to serve him breakfast. After placing the dishes before him, she lingered, staring at him a moment too long.

The other servants shook their heads in silent warning. She was new. They had already told her never to look directly at him. But she had ignored them.

Jack, in the middle of eating, felt the weight of her gaze. He raised his head and found her staring at him—lust shining in her eyes.

A smirk tugged at his lips.

The maid froze, embarrassed for being caught, but when she saw him smirking back, she thought she had succeeded. That she had seduced him.

When he motioned for her to come closer with his eyes, her face lit up in triumph. From the corner of her gaze, she even looked at the others with pride, as if to say, See? I did it.

She approached him, standing there with a seductive smile. Her hand itched to touch his handsome face, and she slowly raised it toward him.

But his expression changed in an instant. The smirk vanished, replaced by ice.

Before she could even register the danger, his large hand caught her wrist. A sharp, searing pain shot through her body. She looked down in shock—her hand was covered in blood.

Her eyes widened, her world spinning. Blood poured from her wrist. She collapsed into unconsciousness within seconds.

Jack, unfazed, calmly wiped the blood from his hand with a handkerchief as though nothing unusual had happened. After he was finished, he adjusted his coat, stood up, and walked past her unconscious body.

Outside, his Mercedes-Maybach Exelero was already waiting. Sliding into the back seat, he instructed the driver to take him to the office, his demeanor calm, as though he hadn’t just committed an act of brutality minutes ago.

Willems Industry

The office floor buzzed with life. Some employees were working, some gossiping, others lazily scrolling through their phones.

Everything was normal—until someone rushed in to announce, “The boss is coming.”

Panic spread instantly. Everyone scrambled back to their desks, typing furiously, pretending to be busy.

Moments later, the sound of polished leather shoes echoed across the floor. The temperature itself seemed to drop.

Jack Willems appeared. Clad in a black suit, his hair perfectly slicked back with gel, he looked every inch the powerful devil they all feared. His cold blue eyes—devoid of any emotion—were enough to paralyze anyone with a single glance.

Female employees sighed quietly, stealing glances at him. Some dreamed of running their fingers through his flawless hair. But no one dared to meet his gaze for long. His presence alone was suffocating.

Behind him walked his secretary, Max, and a group of business partners. They too wore black suits, but none could match Jack’s commanding aura. He looked like a king surrounded by mere subjects.

Jack didn’t spare anyone a glance. He strode straight into his private lift, leaving the floor in dead silence. The employees only exhaled in relief once he was gone.

Inside his cabin, Max trailed behind him, still listing the details of his schedule.

“Sir, all the members are waiting in the meeting room,” he informed. Jack gave a curt nod.

After finishing the update, Max waited quietly for further orders.

Suddenly, Jack’s voice cut through the silence.

“Fire the employee who announced my arrival.”

Max stiffened, shocked. But… how? He didn’t even look at anyone. How could he possibly know?

As if reading his mind, Jack’s piercing eyes landed on him.

“Do you want to ask something, Max?” His tone was sharp, dangerous.

Max swallowed hard. “No, sir.”

Jack leaned back in his chair, his voice cold. “Then what are you waiting for?”

Max understood. That was his cue to leave.

“Yes, sir.” He turned toward the door, but before he could step out, Jack’s voice froze him in place once again.

“Announce to everyone—if I catch anyone pretending to work again…” He paused, his words trailing off ominously.

Max’s heart skipped a beat. He knew what that pause meant. Someone’s bad day was about to begin.

No matter how ruthless or arrogant Jack Willems was, there was one truth everyone knew—he noticed everything. Just because he didn’t look at you didn’t mean he didn’t see you.

“Yes, sir,” Max replied quickly, exiting the cabin with relief and dread at the same time.
