Chapter 6

When Allen Lind thought about how Pamela Newman was so angry with his hotel just now, he knew that the best revenge was to ignore her. So, he did just that in response to what she said.

“Sir, I think you’ve got the wrong person. I don’t seem to know you at all. Please let go of me!”

Seeing this, the manager hurried over and pushed Pamela Newman aside!

“Hurry up and leave! Take your woman with you and get out after you’ve finished looking around! You never buy anything when you come here. Stop blocking us from doing business!”

And just like that, Alan Lind disappeared into the crowd.

Nina Lind here couldn’t contain her joy as she looked at the luxury jewelry her husband had bought for her.

When she got home, her mother-in-law,, saw her daughter dressed in all kinds of jewels and thought at first that some wealthy man was pursuing her daughter.

She looked at her daughter happily, spinning around her several times. No matter how she looked at her, she found her daughter beautiful.

“Oh, my dear daughter, I knew all along that Allen Lind was unreliable. You should’ve found yourself a reliable person to rely on sooner. What’s the use of that good-for-nothing anyway?”

Nina Lind was particularly disgusted by her mother’s words. Her cheerful mood was instantly ruined.

“Mom, from now on, I won’t allow you to speak about Alan Lind in that way anymore. Also, stop trying to get close to me. I don’t like those rich people at all. These jewels were bought for me by Alan Lind. Please respect him from now on!”

Mother-in-law Messi looked at her daughter in disbelief, quickly touching her forehead.

“Daughter, have you lost your mind? I heard that right? You actually said he bought all these things for you? What does he have to buy them with? Let me tell you, I’m not stupid. All of this is genuine!”

Nina Lind knew she couldn’t explain things to her mother right away, so she simply stopped talking to her.

In the Cartier store here, Allen Lind was very pleased with the way the manager greeted him. He walked right up to the security guard who had humiliated him earlier. He raised his eyebrows and said, “Weren’t you full of yourself just now? Why do you act like a shriveled eggplant now?”

The security guard simply stood there, head bowed and face red, not knowing what to say. “After all, he’s a wealthy and noble person. There’s no need for him to bother with people like us!”

The key point is that he didn’t apologize at all. Instead, he started making excuses. So, with interest, I said, “Oh, really? It’s up to me whether I take your words to heart or not. What kind of person are you anyway?”

The manager stood by, not understanding what was going on. So, he asked Allen Lind tentatively, “Ah, good sir, what’s going on here?”

“What’s going on?” Allen Lind didn’t answer but instead asked back. Then he pointed at the young security guard in front of him and said, “You explain it!”

Although the manager didn’t know what had happened, he could see what was going on. It seemed like this security guard had done something wrong by reinstalling Allen Lind. So, the manager kicked the security guard and yelled at him, “You idiot, get lost! Stop getting in my way!”

Seeing this, the security guard was about to leave when Allen Lind called him back. Allen Lind said, “Come back here! The manager told me to check the surveillance footage!”

This security guard is actually just a guy who dropped out of elementary school and has no real skills. How can someone as rude as him work at Cartier? Well, the reason he gets the job is purely because his cousin introduced him to the company.

Before this, he had already made quite a few mistakes, neither too serious nor too trivial. One day, when he was ordered to check the surveillance footage, he thought his job was definitely in jeopardy. So, he simply decided to beg for mercy.

“Honorable sir, I truly didn’t recognize your greatness. Please spare me, please!”

The manager pushed him away and turned to the staff, saying, “Get the surveillance footage as quickly as possible!”

“You’re a noble person. There’s no need to bother with people like them. I’ve never liked that guy anyway. He’s always causing trouble, day after day. Don’t worry, after today, you’ll never see him again in my shop! I guarantee that no one will be able to protect him this time!”

Upon hearing this, the security guard collapsed to the ground. His father had told him before he left that if he got fired again for causing trouble on this trip, he wasn’t to come home at all. Otherwise, he would be beaten with a stick.

The manager watched the surveillance footage with Aaron Lind. He was furious to see how rudely the security guard spoke to Aaron Lind and how his behavior was. He really wanted to throw that guy out of the store right away. But due to his good manners, he couldn’t do that. So, he tried to control his anger and called over the security staff.

“After you disappear from my sight now, never come back again. You’ve been fired. The finance department will handle your salary payment!”

Who would have thought that the once-proud little security guard would end up crying and crawling his way over to the manager and Alan Lind to plead with them.

“I promise there won’t be a next time. Please, don’t fire me. I beg you, sir, to forgive me. I’ll never do it again!”

Watching him pester me like this, I felt an indescribable annoyance. It seemed like all the brightness disappeared from my face in an instant.

He said, “What are you still standing around for? Throw it out right now! What is this even? Who brought it in? Fire that person as well!”

Watching as the security guard was thrown out by the crowd, Allen Lind said to the manager, “I think the quality of your employees needs to be improved. Having people like that in your store is nothing short of tarnishing the reputation of the Cartier brand!”

“You’re right, I must be more careful from now on!” With that, she took good care of Aaron Lind before he left. After leaving Cartier, Aaron Lind went straight home.

Perhaps because he was too excited, Allen Lind didn’t knock on the door before entering. As a result, he bumped straight into his father-in-law.

“That reckless kid is always so careless with everything he does!” The father-in-law glared at Aaron Lind angrily.

Mother-in-law and Nina Lind rushed over upon hearing the noise. They saw the expensive gift box in Aaron Lind’s hands. Mother-in-law snatched the gift box from him and stared at Aaron Lind with a suspicious look.

“Where were you today? You weren’t at home all day. Didn’t you do any housework? You eat and drink from our house all the time, yet you don’t do anything in return! How dare you?”

While scolding Aaron Lind, his mother-in-law opened the gift box. When he saw the Cartier glasses inside, worth 10 million, he was completely stunned.

The mother-in-law, Messi, checked every detail. In the end, she confirmed that it was a genuine product, not a fake one.

“You won the lottery! Where did you get all this money from? You must have also bought those things for my daughter today!”

Aaron Lind smiled without saying a word. His father-in-law, standing beside him, looked extremely displeased. By convention, he should have humiliated Aaron thoroughly. But right now…

Aaron Lind could still see the embarrassment on his father-in-law Baldwin Ross’s face. So he simply turned around and left, leaving Baldwin Ross in a complete mess.
