“Go to bed early!”

Every day is a new day, and today is no exception. But many people prefer to live in the past.

“Ina Rose, what are you doing by bringing him here? What do you mean?”

Edwina Brown was very displeased to see Ina Ross coming to the company with Aaron Lind.

When Ina Ross saw Edwina Brown like that, she said to her.

“Edwina Brown, I’m not here to argue with you today. I just want to clarify things between us. We’re good sisters. Please, let’s not make this into a problem. Alan Lind is my husband. Both sides of the coin have their merits. How am I supposed to choose?”

Miss Edwina Brown became furious all of a sudden. Ina Rose actually compared her to Aaron Lind, which he considered an insult to himself.

“Ina Rose, I don’t care whether I’m here today or not, whether he’s here or not. You decide for yourself!”

Ina Ross looked at Aaron Lind with difficulty and said to Edwina Brown:

“Do good sisters really have to go to such extremes?”

Edwina Brown added further:

“If you let this good-for-nothing go, I won’t make trouble with you anymore!”

Edwina Brown thought she had a good chance of winning this round. She believed that Ina Ross would definitely side with her and abandon Aaron Lind, as that’s what had always happened before.

The company’s employees immediately gathered around when they saw this. After all, there were plenty of people around, and everyone liked to see some funny moments. Over the years, they had seen plenty of Alan Lind make mistakes or act foolishly.

“Kid, in my opinion, you’d better leave. Don’t put your wife in an awkward situation!”

“You’re such a loser. Can’t you have any self-awareness at all?”

“That’s right. What do you even have to compare yourself to us, Brown? You’re nothing but a worthless loser. I really don’t know how many lifetimes of good deeds you’ve accumulated to end up with such a beautiful wife.”

Ina Ross found the words spoken by the others in the office becoming increasingly unpleasant with each passing moment. Edwina Brown didn’t say anything to stop them, so Ina snapped angrily, “Can you all shut up for a moment? What does it matter to you? Go do what you’re supposed to do!”

As soon as these words were spoken, many people in the office were upset.

“Ina Rose, how can you be so ungrateful? Don’t you realize that we’re trying to help you?”

“Yes, yes. Is it really worth offending us Brownes for such a useless husband? Do we really seem inferior to him in your eyes?”

“Kid, don’t get too proud. Don’t think that just because your wife said something in your favor, you can do whatever you want. In reality, she still favors us. In her eyes, you mean nothing at all!”

Edwina Brown was very satisfied with the result. This was exactly what she wanted. She said to Aaron Lind with great satisfaction.

“Did you even see her? What do you even have to compare yourself to her with? Get lost! Don’t you even realize you’re not good enough for Ina Rose?”

After saying that, he tried to pull Ina Rose along with him. But he didn’t expect Ina Rose to simply shake her hand off and leave him behind. Edwina Brown was shocked to see this behavior from Ina Rose. She had never seen Ina Rose act like that before.

“Ina Rose, what are you doing?”

Edwina Brown said these words to Ina Ross, who remained silent.

“You’ve changed. Ever since you started hanging around with that worthless guy, you’ve completely changed. You weren’t like this before. I barely recognize you now. Please, leave him behind! Let’s go back to how things were before.”

Edwina Brown tried the soft approach when force didn’t work, but she never expected that Ina Ross would be completely unresponsive to either persuasion or coercion. No matter what she said or how she tried to reason with her, Ina simply wouldn’t listen.

“Ina Ross, what exactly do you want? It’s bad enough that you humiliated me in front of everyone in the company. Now, you even ignore me like this!”

At that moment, she said something to Jason Brown in a calm tone.

“Edwina Brown, I don’t want to be your friend anymore. I think you’re really boring!”

After saying that, she pulled Aaron Lind along and walked away. Edwina Brown, furious at this, yelled at the rest of the people in the company.

“What are you staring at? Are you done looking now? Go back to work!”

Everyone started whispering among themselves again, talking as they walked.

“What’s wrong with this Ina Rose anyway? What kind of potion did that worthless woman give him, that he would abandon us, the Browns?”

“Yes, yes. We all thought Ina Ross would choose Brown. Who would’ve thought he’d pick that good-for-nothing!”

“Who knows what they’re thinking?”

Everyone started whispering among themselves. Just then, Zhang Yina Ross pulled Aaron Lind back with her.

Everyone was very surprised, and Edwina Brown was even more astonished. Edwina Brown quickly got up, ready to embrace Ina Ross.

“I knew you’d come back!”

Ina Rose pushed Edwina Brown aside with force. Everyone was stunned once again. Ina Rose took out the Supreme Black Card from Aaron Lind’s pocket and held it up in front of Edwina Brown, so that everyone in the company could see it.

“Do you see it clearly? Does anyone recognize this Supreme Black Card?”

Everyone in the company shook their heads at this. They couldn’t figure out what the fuss was about. It was just a broken card after all. What was so special about it?

Edwina Brown naturally recognized this card. It was the Supreme Black Card, something that very few people in the world possessed—even she didn’t have it. Edwina Brown snatched the card from him in surprise.

“The Supreme Black Card belongs to this worthless wretch? How is that possible? It can’t be true!”

Ina Ross snatched the card from Edwina Brown’s hands and said to her.

“How can that be impossible? Anything is possible. You always prefer to live in the past. The Aaron Lind of today isn’t the same person as the Aaron Lind of before!”

Now, Edwina Brown had to accept some facts she wasn’t willing to face. Watching Aaron Lind leave with Ina Ross, looking so proud and satisfied, Edwina Brown was furious. She even felt like eating Aaron Lind alive.

Aaron Lind went to the mall with Ina Ross, looking very handsome and impressive.

“What’s wrong, baby? Are you not happy?”

Aaron Lind, who was standing nearby, clearly noticed some of Ina Ross’s thoughts, so he asked out of concern.

Ina Ross seemed listless and still unable to get over what had just happened.

“Honey, do you think what I said to Brown today was a bit too much? I don’t understand why I acted like that today!”

Aaron Lind knew that, in truth, his wife still felt sympathy for Edwina Brown. Edwina Brown wasn’t actually a bad person, but she kept excluding him from her life. So, he comforted Ina Ross by saying those words.

“Baby, if there’s something we can’t figure out, let’s not worry about it for now. Save it for later and let time make the decision.”

In truth, Alan Lind knew that Edwina Brown simply couldn’t accept the situation. Yet, he was willing to do whatever would make his wife happy, even if it meant finding a way for Edwina Brown to accept him. He had never thought of this before, but after seeing how Ina Ross behaved today, he felt it was necessary to do something.

“You’re right, honey. Let’s go shopping!”

“That’s right. Just let me spoil you as much as I want. I have money now!”

The two of them held hands, their fingers intertwined, just like a young couple in love. The scene before their eyes was truly enviable. Allen Lind had finally achieved his dream of turning things around.
