Chapter 4 Four

Ravenna pov

After living the office I continue walking down the hallway,I was getting more confused about which way I should go, everywhere looked the same to me and this pamphlet isn't helpful at all, I may not know how to read that much but I could understand a few things and this certainly isn't english.

After walking for like twenty minutes, and passing through corridors I was sure I had passed more than a few times, groaning as I stood there looking at the pamphlet once more.

“You have been going the wrong way," someone behind me said.

Startled as I haven't noticed anyone else apart from me here, I turned around, a girl with curly hair with freckles and she was wearing glasses smiled sheepishly at me.

"Hi” she waved her hands coming closer to me

“Hi” I replied back to her as I caught a swift scent of vanilla.

As if she had noticed " oh don't mind the smell sometimes I can't control it” her cheeks were slightly red and she was embarrassed ,it wasn't offensive so why would she apologize.

"Are you new?” She asked

I nodded.

“No wonder you couldn't see through the tricks”

"Tricks , what do you mean by that?" I asked her

"The fairies play tricks on new students ,it is common around here, at least you aren't soaked with water or transported to another part of the school” she explained " Am arcane by the way a chatri we are different from fairies, where are you going?” arcane asked

“Emerald House" I answered her and her eyes widened in surprise.

"I am also from Emerald House. Come on, let me take you there and sorry I didn't help you out earlier. I thought you would notice” Arcane apologized and she was sincere. I had a feeling we will both become closer and she was outgoing and playful.

"Ravenna ,am Ravenna" I introduced

Arcane smiled “welcome to Blakehurst Ravenna, what race are you from?" As we both took another turn to a different corridor.

I wasn't sure if I should tell her or not but she seems so innocent and kind “I was told am a hybrid" I answered her as we arrived at another floor which was had a sigh written on top emerald house,and it was green like sparkly green I could even see my reflection on the walls.

“There are plenty of hybrids in the school and don't be shocked you will understand what I mean by that. To be honest I did get frightened when I saw you down the hallway but up close you look completely normal. Arcane said, reaching a door at the far end of the corridor.

“Oh before we go in I need to warn you about something" her voice sounding serious.

I waited for her to explain as she looked dead serious.

“In the emerald house and also in our room there is someone you must absolutely avoid crossing parts with, two to be exact ,Karen who stays with us and her twin sister Selena who stays at Aqua House. They are both like oil and water". Arcane explained opening the door to our room.

As I stepped inside the room was big enough for more than five people to stay in and each part of the room was divided looking at the other side. It was clearly occupied by another person .

“There is your space” Arcane pointed at the other side of the room which was closer to the window.

"Thank you for your help” I said to arcane who smiled.

Walking over to my space it had everything a student would need as I didn't have anything worth calling mine. I sat down on the bed, it was a surprise that what I have seen in stories existed.

Just then someone barged into the room as our eyes met, she looked away,she had blue hair and blue eyes clear as water,was she the person Arcane had warned me about.

"Hey red hair” knowing she was talking about me.

“Yes,” I answered, looking her straight in the eyes. She looked very angry.

“Didn't your parents teach you how to show respect to someone higher than you huh?" she said, folding her hands and glaring at me.

“Sorry keran she is new". Arcane said beside me.

“Figured" she said flinging her hair up before going to her space.

How dare she mention my parents but there was nothing I could do just looking at her to remind me of Clara.

“Looks like she and her sister had a fight together" arcane whisper beside me " they are always fighting to know who will have Ernesto as their fiancee”

I heard that name at Mrs Charisma office, could it be possible that they are both the same person.

Another knock came at the door and it was pushed open and a tiny creature with large wings and horns appeared in the room.

“There you are “ the creature said walking towards her and stretched out a sack " here, was told to give you this" and waved his head “what a frightening thing you have in your shadow”

As the creature stepped away about to leave the room.

“Gargoyle ,what about my errand?” Keran said.

"I do not answer to sirens" The Gargoyle answered back to her leaving the room.

I could hear Keran cursing out the creature. I opened the sack taking out the stuff that was inside there.

After changing into my uniform Acrane lead me down the hallway to show me around ,as we entered the library

The library was bigger and quiet and some people were seated on chairs around reading.

I bumped into someone as I walked to go over to one of the sections.

“Woah easy there” as the person caught me before I could fall, looking up to his face, he was white as a ghost and very handsome.

Is the school only filled up with models posing as students ,and he was cold as if he had been to the north pole in this hot summer.

“Thanks” I said, trying to stand upright but he didn't budge.

“You smell nice" he said as he leaned on my neck, I placed a hand on his chest trying to push him off, Acrane had left me immediately we entered the library saying she was coming back.

His hand was w

rapped around my waist as I felt his cold breath on my neck.

"Mind letting me take a bite?”.
