Introduction
When her husband, billionaire CEO Ernest White, discovered the truth, his voice was cold as ice.
“Pack your things, Kimberly. I never want to see you again.”
Five years later, fate throws them together again—this time, she’s his personal assistant, and he’s her ruthless boss.
“I told you I’d make you pay,” he said, leaning close.
She met his gaze, trembling but defiant. “You already did.”
But behind the hatred still burns the desire neither can bury… and the secret that could destroy them both.
Chapter 1
KIM’S POV
"God, I am pregnant,"
I stared at the pregnancy test in my hands.
I can't believe I am a month pregnant.
My phone rang, making me flinch as I pick it up.
It was Ella.
I was about to take the call when the door opened, revealing, Ernest. I got on my feet as my heart sank into my belly while I stared at him.
He has an unhappy look but he is looking at me as he approached.
"Hey, honey." I said, forcing a smile.
He looked away from me and sat on the sofa.
I fiddled with my fingers as I sat next to him nervously.
He placed his hand on his temple and rested his elbow on the sofa handle.
"Honey?"
He didn't respond but kept looking everywhere but at me.
"What is wrong?" I asked. My voice almost broke.
His eyes moved to me.
I gulped.
His eyes rested on me.
My hands became sweaty as I dropped my gaze.
"Kimberly," he called, making me look at him. He is looking at me.
"Yes?"
"I want a divorce."
I froze.
"Wha...what?" I stuttered.
He got on his feet, heading away. I lost control of my legs as they took me in front of him, blocking his way.
My heart pounded tirelessly.
He glared at me.
"Ernest, what is....what is wrong?" I stuttered, feeling my shaky hands.
He didn't respond but kept glaring at me. His height has never been very intimidating and scary as it is right now. Could it be because of everything?
Why is he asking for a divorce?
What is going on?
I nervously stared at him. "Wha...."
The next thing he did made me freeze. He took out some pictures out of his bag and threw it on the air effortlessly.
The pictures rained on me like flowers. I stared at them to know what it is.
My world stopped at the sight of one. I leaned down slowly and picked it up. My heart sank into my stomach as I stared at the picture. It is a picture of me and that random man, naked together on the bed.
I covered my mouth with my palm in absolute terror. I looked at all the pictures. They are all pictures of a random man and I.
I can't believe this.
Oh God.
What is this? Who did this to me?
"Who the fuck are you?" Ernest spoke up.
I looked at him.
He is glaring at me. The look on his face is beyond anything. I could see hate, pain and anger. All in one mixture. My heart begged to explode.
I shook my head slightly, feeling tears in my eyes.
"Who the hell did I marry?" He snarled.
I opened my mouth to speak but I can't even utter a word.
"I married a cheap whore!" He spat.
I flinched, feeling a sharp pain in my heart.
"I can't believe this."
"Ernest, it is.....it is not what you...."
"Don't give me that bullshit!" He snapped, making me flinch as I dropped my gaze. Tears found their way out of my eyes.
"You cheating dirty cheap whore!" He spat.
I gasped slightly as I held my beating chest.
"How could you do this to me, Kimberly?" He asked. His voice sounded different this time, making me look at him.
He has tears in his eyes.
That broke my heart beyond imaginable.
"All I did was love and care for you." He almost whispered
I sobbed silently as I stared at him.
"I work tirelessly just to make you a fucking happy wife and you do this to me."
I reached to touch him. "Ernest, please...."
"DON'T touch me." He snarled, making me withdraw my hands.
"You disgust me." He snarled.
I shook my head. "Ernest...."
"I regret ever stepping foot in your parents' house to ask for your hand in marriage. You are the worst mistake of my life and I hate you so fucking much, Kimberly."
I dropped my gaze as I let out sobs. Tears filled my face.
"You know, you are a very good pretender." He said. "I was a fucking fool to think that you will be a good and faithful wife to a nobody like me."
I looked at him, shaking my head. "No...."
"I was a big stupid fool!"
"No, that's not truth. I wasn't pretending. I love you, Ernest” I cried.
"Oh shut the fuck up, liar. You are a bloody liar!"
My heart ached painfully.
"You never loved me. Why the hell did you even accept to marry me? You know have nothing. Why did you marry me? So you could hide under the umbrella of a married woman and be free to whore around as you want?"
"No!" I cried.
He scoffed. "Quit faking those tears, Kimberly. It only tells how much of a fucked up pretender you are."
I kept on sobbing.
"You are a fucking snake, sent from the pit of hell to destroy my heart!"
"Ernest!!"
"That's what you are!" He blurted.
My heart broke continuously.
"How much did he give you, huh?"
I looked at him.
"How much did he offer you to betray me like this?"
I couldn't speak but sob.
"A million?" He asked.
I sobbed the more.
"Two million?!"
"He didn't offer me anything!" I cried.
He scoffed. "You did it for free, huh?"
My heart ached badly.
"I wasn't good enough for you?" He asked.
I shook my head.
"I wasn't good enough for you, both financially and sexually?"
"No, that's not..."
"Then what was your reason for betraying me like this?!" He yelled angrily, making me flinch.
"Tell me, Kimberly. Stop this fucking messed up tears!"
"It was a mistake." i sobbed.
He scoffed in disbelief.
"It was a mistake, I swear."
He muttered something I didn't hear as he moved away from me.
"Please, you have to believe me. I didn't do this on purpose. I...."
"I want a divorce, Kimberly," He retorted, repeating those words that dreaded me.
"No, please."
"It is over." He said.
I shook my head. "Don't do this, please."
"I don't ever what to see you in front of me again."
"Ernest, please."
"Go in there, pack your things and leave my house, and my life." He said calmly.
"What....?"
"Get out, Kimberly!"
No," i cried, going down on my knees and clasp my hands together.
"Don't make me repeat myself."
More tears flowed.
"I don't ever what to see your face again in my life." He said.
“Ernest,, don't do this. I can't live without you. Please," i begged.
He reached for my clasped hands and took off the ring on my finger.
My heart clenched harder as I looked at him.
"Ernest…”

The CEO's Unspoken Love
Before I could answer, he moved closer, suddenly looming over me, his face inches from mine. I felt my breath caught, my lips parting in surprise.

My breathing accelerated, small sounds escaping my throat as he explored my body. His touches were both punishment and pleasure, drawing shudders from me that I thought he felt reverberating through his own body.
My nightgown had ridden up, his hands discovering more of mine with each caress. We were both lost in sensation, rational thought receding with each passing second...
