Chapter 3 The Mysterious Big Shot Can Heal Bianca
After filing the documents, Olivia went straight back to Bianca's side to take care of her.
She was also waiting for Michael to come and discuss more divorce matters.
But a long time passed, and Olivia only heard him take a call in the hall.
His tone was one of tenderness she had never heard before.
Then, the sound of Michael's hurried footsteps left.
Olivia glanced at the divorce papers on the nightstand in the bedroom; they remained untouched.
So, Michael hadn't noticed them?
She frowned, feeling a bit anxious, wanting to call him immediately and make things clear.
However, she restrained herself.
Divorce was something that ultimately had to be discussed face-to-face.
If he didn't see them tonight, he would see them tomorrow or the day after.
Anyway, she was determined to get this divorce!
That night, Michael didn't come home.
The next day, Olivia woke up to find Bianca looking listless and low-spirited.
Worried, she quickly contacted Harper Anderson, the psychologist, for a routine check-up.
Harper was a renowned psychologist Michael had hired, with a prestigious background and recognition from many authoritative institutions.
However, despite the long-term treatment, Bianca's condition hadn't improved much.
When Harper arrived, Olivia couldn't help but ask. "Dr. Anderson, you've been treating Bianca for a while now, but why do I feel like there's no improvement?"
Harper gave off an air of arrogance and indifference.
Her face changed immediately upon hearing such questioning.
She snapped angrily, "Who's the psychologist here, you or me? I was specifically invited by Mr. Johnson. What right do you have to question me?"
Olivia didn't expect such a big reaction and felt a bit angry herself.
She responded coldly, "I didn't want to question you, but Bianca's condition hasn't improved at all. As her mother, shouldn't I ask? Are you really a professional?"
Such questioning made Harper feel humiliated.
She stood up abruptly and glared at Olivia. "Ms. Smith, if you think I'm not professional, you can find someone else. I'm done treating this case! But I warn you, you'd better not regret this!"
With that, she stormed out in her high heels.
Ten minutes later, Michael's call came, as Olivia had expected.
Michael's voice was cold and accusatory. "Olivia, what are you doing? Why did you drive Dr. Anderson away?"
The cold tone made Olivia's heart ache.
She replied indifferently, "Her treatment hasn't been effective. I said a few words, and she couldn't take it and left. Who's to blame?"
Michael didn't want to hear her explanation and continued to scold her. "You need to stop this nonsense. Dr. Anderson's capabilities are recognized in the industry. Only you are doubting her! Do you even want Bianca to recover?
Now, call Dr. Anderson and apologize. Get her back here!"
Olivia felt like her heart was being pierced with needles.
Michael hadn't shown any concern for Bianca's condition from the start.
He just wanted to force her to apologize to Harper!
His attitude towards an outsider was far better than towards her and Bianca.
How could she have chosen him back then?
She had been infatuated and obsessed, like she had lost her soul.
Maybe now, it wasn't too late to see him clearly.
She clenched her fists and said coldly, "I'm not apologizing to her. I'm Bianca's mother, and I have the right to choose her doctor! If she doesn't want to come back, that's even better!"
She hung up, not wanting to hear Michael's voice anymore.
Then, she took Bianca to play in the special "kids' playground."
This playground was built by Olivia and Emily when Emily was still alive, just for Bianca.
Bianca didn't have the personality of a typical child; she preferred to be alone. The toys and entertainment facilities here were carefully prepared by Olivia and Emily for Bianca.
Bianca quickly became immersed in play.
Seeing this, Olivia made up her mind. She couldn't let Harper delay Bianca's treatment any longer.
No matter what, she had to find a new psychologist for Bianca immediately.
She took action right away, going to the study, opening her computer, and quickly searching for information on renowned psychologists both domestically and internationally.
But it wasn't easy.
Bianca was diagnosed with autism at the age of one.
In the past two years, the Johnson family had visited many famous doctors nationwide, constantly inviting them for treatment, but with little success.
Olivia searched for a long time but couldn't find anyone reliable.
At that moment, her friend Evelyn Thomas called.
She had just heard about Emily's passing and called to comfort Olivia. "Olivia, you need to stay strong and not be too sad. Mrs. Johnson wouldn't want you to be too heartbroken because of her."
Olivia felt like crying, remembering how she had left the funeral in a hurry and hadn't been able to say goodbye to Emily.
But she held back, pretending to be strong. "I know."
"Good, don't cry. Even though Mrs. Johnson is gone, you still have me and Bianca…"
Evelyn asked with concern, "By the way, has Bianca's condition improved recently?"
Olivia shook her head. "No, actually, I wanted to ask you since you called. Do you know any good psychologists? Bianca's condition hasn't improved, and I'm worried!"
Evelyn thought for a moment.
After a few seconds, a name came to mind. "Actually, I do know someone!"
Olivia's spirits lifted. "Really? Can you introduce them to me?"
Evelyn quickly reassured her. "I'm afraid I can't… I've only heard about this person. They're incredibly skilled! It's said that many influential people are desperate to hire him, even the military has tried hard to recruit him…
But he's very mysterious and hard to track down. I don't know how to contact him right now. But I'm sure if we can find him, Bianca's condition will definitely improve!"
Hearing Evelyn's description, Olivia felt a bit excited.
"Evelyn, is this psychologist really that good?" She was worried it might be another Harper, all reputation and no results.
"Don't worry. This one is definitely skilled. I'll tell you more about his cases later. But for now, don't worry! I'll help you look for him. As soon as I have any news, I'll let you know immediately, okay?" Evelyn clearly understood Olivia's urgency and comforted her warmly.
Olivia knew things wouldn't go smoothly right away.
Bianca had been sick since she was one, and Olivia had been waiting for a miracle every day.
She had waited this long; she could wait a few more days.
