Chapter 1
1. He Is Not Worth It
Serena's POV
"You have no freaking idea how disgusting you sound right now."
" Oh really? Why don't you tell me? You disgusting human filth." His voice hits me back with strong disdain etched in it and this increases the fury in my mind. I'm going so crazy right now.
I step towards him and stand directly in front of him.
"I don't get you. Is it because of how rich your father is you lift yourself so high you begin to bully and mistreat others anyhow you think? Yet, you have no idea that you are just living off your father's riches. You are nothing more than a bum as far as I can tell. You have achieved nothing and you are just taking your father's heritage as an advantage to bring others down just because they didn't have the kind of opportunity you have." I reply with some more fury and I can realize that the argument between us is already catching the attention of various other students in the hallway.
A large number of them are behind him, cheering and supporting him, while a few are on my side.
Well, I can't call them a few.
I can only say they are my two friends, Luna and Cassidy and they are not cheering for me at all. They are trying their hardest to take me away from the fight. They are trying to stop me from arguing with the annoying fellow right in front of me but I can't stop.
My fury has overtaken my senses and I just want to rip his neck apart.
"Serena, you have to calm down, okay? Humans are among us. You do not want to lose control." I can hear Luna whispering slowly into my ears but I am not even bothering to listen to her.
"You are so stupid!! Don't you realize that?!!" I scream into his ears and watch as he laughs with his head thrown backward.
"Well, it only takes a stupid person to know who else is stupid," he replies and this makes me just lose complete control.
I detach Cassidy and Luna's hands away from me and begin to stomp briskly towards him. He scoffs and stands bravely as though he knows I cannot do anything to him.
"Oh, I would love to see what the feisty girl wants to do," he says with a smirk as I come to a stop before him and punch him in the belly.
He doesn't even flinch as he looks at his stomach and then raises an eyebrow, staring back at me.
"I'm sorry, what did you do? Because it just felt like a very tiny ant touched me and tickled me a little bit." I hear the laughter of his friends behind him as they burst out laughing at his words and this just makes me want to smash the entire earth itself.
I feel Cassidy's hand take hold of mine. "It's not worth it, Serena, let's just go, okay? It's of no use," she says, and with her words, I turn away from him.
With anger, I'm beginning to stomp away ahead of Luna and Cassidy while they try to
Catch up with my quick strides.
"Hey, reduce your strides. Don't try to be faster than your shadows." I can hear Luna's voice calling out to me far behind me but I am not listening.
The anger in my mind has taken control of my motor skills and I am not aware of what anyone is telling me right now. I am boiling. I am seething with rage.
Oh goddess, how I hate that guy with all my soul. I just wish we were not in school right now. I would have probably unleashed my deepest abilities and twisted his neck into asunders. Oh help me, goddess, I can't wait for night to come.
I am going to summon the help of the moon goddess. She needs to give me this assistance because I don't think I can bear any more of his antics anymore. I am so done with him. I have had it for over 3 years and this has already gotten to the limit. I can't. I fucking can't.
I am screaming endlessly in my head as I storm towards the stadium of the large school. That is the one place I go to whenever I want to unleash and cool off even if it is just for a few minutes.
I climb up to the bleachers and sit down at my favorite spot before placing my backpack on my lap and wrapping my arms tight around it. I then shake my head briskly.
No way, this can't continue anymore. I keep thinking to myself.
I look up slowly to notice Luna and Cassidy slowly climbing the bleachers, looking exhausted, probably after trying to catch up with my speed.
" Oh dear, you are so fast as hell. Honestly, if you could unleash this speed in the school racetrack team, it would be far better than trying to push all that energy into anger over Damon. You know that he is not worth it. That is just how he is and you responding to his antics is only giving him some entertainment. You are only increasing the fun for him. You know that he is using you for sport, Serena," Cassidy says, but I am not looking at her right now.
My gaze is far away into the skies thinking about the evil conniving things I can do to get back at that bastard for all the insults he has rained upon me. I need to pay him back for just being so relentless in making my life hell in school. It is so frustrating. I can't go through one single day at school with peace of mind. I must surely be disturbed by this fellow and he is so relentless. What makes it annoying is that he is in the same biology class as me.
Oh goodness me, I don't know when I slam my fist against one of the bleacher chairs creating a crack that upsets the chair a little bit and forces it to twist sideways.
"Okay, you really need to calm down right now," Luna suddenly says as she takes a seat beside me and wraps her arm around my shoulders. "Take it easy, Serena, okay? Like I said, he is not worth it."
I roll my eyes and huff, folding my arms with annoyance.
"I am serious about this, Serena; you need to cool off right now. You look like you're on the verge of releasing your dark side and you know that that is disastrous. Humans are still nearby," she says but then I turn my head sharply to look at her.
"You heard what he said, Luna; you were right there when everything happened. Did you see what he did? Did you hear the things he said? How do you expect me to remain so calm after all that? Do you think it is so easy to try to keep myself intact when someone as annoying, as disgusting as he keeps coming into my way every single minute, hour, second, and every day to make me feel so..." I pause in my sentence and clench my fists tight, feeling the urge to smash it against something.
But when I turn towards one of the bleacher chairs again, Cassidy is the one that super speeds to my other side and takes hold of my hand, stopping me from making any move.
"Okay, I think this will need to involve both of our helps because this is escalating to a much more difficult situation. Take it easy Serena, okay? We both understand he is annoying, but you can't change him and what you are doing; getting angry over his actions and reacting to him is only making things worse. You are simply giving him what he wants, and he is going to return, again and again, until he has probably made the biggest fun of you in the entire school. So just quit it and learn to ignore him. It is not that hard," she says.
But then I shake my head furiously and snap my hand away from their grips.
"You both don't understand at all," I declare as I get up from my seat, and with a single jump, I have leaped down from the very top of the bleachers down to the bottom of the field, landing clean on my feet with a thud.
I hear Luna gasping behind me and I turn to see that she is scanning the entire environment as if trying to figure out something.
"Are you crazy?" She screams out loud as she snaps her fingers and teleports to where I am standing. "Look what you are doing. You didn't even figure out if there was a human nearby before you attempted your super leap. Are you crazy? Do you want us to get figured out?" She says but I scoff and continue to walk away, flinging my backpack around my shoulder.
"Yeah, she has no care in the world about all that." I hear Cassidy's voice behind me but I am not even listening to them.
"Look guys, I just need somewhere I can go to vent out right now because I feel like I can burn the earth and turn it upside down if I don't find a way to cool off."
" Well, I think I know a way I can help," Cassidy says slowly from behind and I am forced to turn to look at her with a raised eyebrow.
"What is that?"

After the Affair: Falling into a Billionaire's Arms
From first crush to wedding vows, George Capulet and I had been inseparable. But in our seventh year of marriage, he began an affair with his secretary.
On my birthday, he took her on vacation. On our anniversary, he brought her to our home and made love to her in our bed...
Heartbroken, I tricked him into signing divorce papers.
George remained unconcerned, convinced I would never leave him.
His deceptions continued until the day the divorce was finalized. I threw the papers in his face: "George Capulet, from this moment on, get out of my life!"
Only then did panic flood his eyes as he begged me to stay.
When his calls bombarded my phone later that night, it wasn't me who answered, but my new boyfriend Julian.
"Don't you know," Julian chuckled into the receiver, "that a proper ex-boyfriend should be as quiet as the dead?"
George seethed through gritted teeth: "Put her on the phone!"
"I'm afraid that's impossible."
Julian dropped a gentle kiss on my sleeping form nestled against him. "She's exhausted. She just fell asleep."

Oops, Wrong Girl to Bully
My back hit the desk. Pain exploded through my skull.
"Girls like you don't get to dream about guys like Kai." Bella's breath was hot on my face. "You don't get to write pathetic love letters."
She shoved me again. Harder.
"Maybe if you weren't such a desperate little—"
I fell. My head cracked against the corner.
Warmth trickled down my neck. Blood.
Their laughter turned to gasps.
The door slammed.
I tried to stand. Couldn't. The room was spinning, fading to black.
Someone... please...

Biting his lip, he stalks toward me, his hand going to the seam of his pants and the thickening bulge there.
"Are you sure you don't want me to touch you?" He whispers, untying the knot and slipping a hand inside. "Because I swear to God, that is all I have been wanting to do. Every single day from the moment you stepped in our bar and I smelled your perfect flavor from across the room."

A Lesson in Magic
Claimed by the Alpha's Love
Four years ago, Fiona's meticulously planned conspiracy turned me from an ordinary omega into a prisoner carrying the weight of a murder charge.
Four years later, I return to a world that has changed beyond recognition.
My best friend Fiona, who is also my stepsister, has become the perfect daughter in my mother's eyes. And my ex-boyfriend, Ethan, is about to hold a high-profile mating ceremony with her.
The love, family bonds, and reputation that I once cherished have all been taken by Fiona.
Just when I had reached my breaking point, questioning the very purpose of my existence, the legendary Alpha Lucas of Moonhaven suddenly appeared in my life.
He is powerful and enigmatic, a figure that all werewolves hold in awe.
Yet, he shows an extraordinary persistence and tenderness towards me.
Is Lucas's appearance a gift from fate, or the start of another conspiracy?
Rise of the Banished She-Wolf
That roar stole my eighteenth birthday and shattered my world. My first shift should have been glory—blood turned blessing into shame. By dawn they'd branded me "cursed": cast out by my pack, abandoned by family, stripped of my nature. My father didn't defend me—he sent me to a forsaken island where wolfless outcasts were forged into weapons, forced to kill each other until only one could leave.
On that island I learned the darkest edges of humanity and how to bury terror in bone. Countless times I wanted to surrender—dive into the waves and never surface—but the accusing faces that haunted my dreams pushed me back toward something colder than survival: revenge. I escaped, and for three years I hid among humans, collecting secrets, learning to move like a shadow, sharpening patience into precision—becoming a blade.
Then, under a full moon, I touched a bleeding stranger—and my wolf returned with a violence that made me whole. Who was he? Why could he wake what I'd thought dead?
One thing I know: now is the time.
I have waited three years for this. I will make everyone who destroyed me pay—and take back everything that was stolen from me.
I Slapped My Fiancé—Then Married His Billionaire Nemesis
Technically, Rhys Granger was my fiancé now—billionaire, devastatingly hot, and a walking Wall Street wet dream. My parents shoved me into the engagement after Catherine disappeared, and honestly? I didn’t mind. I’d crushed on Rhys for years. This was my chance, right? My turn to be the chosen one?
Wrong.
One night, he slapped me. Over a mug. A stupid, chipped, ugly mug my sister gave him years ago. That’s when it hit me—he didn’t love me. He didn’t even see me. I was just a warm-bodied placeholder for the woman he actually wanted. And apparently, I wasn’t even worth as much as a glorified coffee cup.
So I slapped him right back, dumped his ass, and prepared for disaster—my parents losing their minds, Rhys throwing a billionaire tantrum, his terrifying family plotting my untimely demise.
Obviously, I needed alcohol. A lot of alcohol.
Enter him.
Tall, dangerous, unfairly hot. The kind of man who makes you want to sin just by existing. I’d met him only once before, and that night, he just happened to be at the same bar as my drunk, self-pitying self. So I did the only logical thing: I dragged him into a hotel room and ripped off his clothes.
It was reckless. It was stupid. It was completely ill-advised.
But it was also: Best. Sex. Of. My. Life.
And, as it turned out, the best decision I’d ever made.
Because my one-night stand isn’t just some random guy. He’s richer than Rhys, more powerful than my entire family, and definitely more dangerous than I should be playing with.
And now, he’s not letting me go.
The Forbidden Throb
Mine changed in the time it took to open a door.
Behind it: my fiancé Nicholas with another woman.
Three months until our wedding. Three seconds to watch it all burn.
I should have run. Should have screamed. Should have done anything except stand there like a fool.
Instead, I heard the devil himself whisper in my ear:
"If you're willing, I could marry you."
Daniel. The brother I was warned about. The one who made Nicholas look like a choir boy.
He leaned against the wall, watching my world implode.
My pulse thundered. "What?"
"You heard me." His eyes burned into mine. "Marry me, Emma."
But as I stared into those magnetic eyes, I realized something terrifying:
I wanted to say yes to him.
Game on.
