Callum was on his feet in one step. "Layla."

I blinked hard. The flash was already fading, but my skin was hot, my eyes stinging, and the whole room felt tilted.

"I saw something," I said.

Mercer went very still. "What did you see?"

I swallowed. "A woman."

"Who?"

My throat tightened. "I think it was...
