Chapter 7 Unexpected Visit.
Accompanied by her driver, old Mrs. Ford came in and sat opposite Hans and Lolita with a friendly smile. "You're both up? I was just thinking about your new wedding last night. I wondered if it would be inappropriate for me to come over so early."
Lolita's face turned red. "Madam..." You're thinking too much. She slept in the guest room last night and was almost kicked out.
Hans's expression remained unchanged. "Why did you come?"
Even if their relationship was bad, they still maintained a polite appearance.
"Just last night, your newlywed wife called me and said that you seemed to dislike her. I was afraid you would have conflicts, so I came here specifically to remind you. Since you're married, you should live happily together. Feelings can be cultivated after marriage," old Mrs. Ford glanced at Lolita as she spoke.
Hans lifted his teacup and elegantly took a sip.
Lolita pursed her lips.
"Also, Hans, find time to bring your new wife to the Ford Family," old Mrs. Ford added, "I've already instructed Butler Bob to prepare for your wedding..."
"There’s no need," Hans put down his cup, "This marriage will end soon."
As soon as old Mrs. Ford's face darkened, she noticed the divorce agreement on the coffee table in front of her. She picked it up, glanced at it, and handed it to her driver, saying, "I'll take this."
"Yesterday, Hans, what did you say? Are you not giving any respect to me, your mother?"
Thinking about what Old Mrs. Ford said about three months, Hans replied with a smirk, "Mother, you don't need to worry about my marriage. I have someone else I want to marry."
Lolita immediately looked at Hans with surprise. He... likes someone else?!
"I do not agree with you marrying that kind of woman," Old Mrs. Ford looked at Lolita and continued, "Your current wife is good, clean, beautiful, and well-mannered!"
Well-mannered? Hans remembered Lolita's childishness when she grabbed his sleeve last night, a hint of mockery on his lips.
Lolita's face immediately flushed, and she lowered her head, "Madam, I..."
"Hey, what happened to your foot?" Old Mrs. Ford noticed Lolita's swollen ankle.
Lolita glanced at Hans and pursed her lips, "It's nothing. I accidentally twisted it while going upstairs last night."
Hans remained expressionless.
Butler Tom was somewhat surprised that she didn't reveal the truth about being pushed down by Mr. Ford...
"Well then, Hans, you should take good care of your newlywed wife," Old Mrs. Ford chastised again, "Don't go to the office today, stay at home and accompany your wife properly."
Hans glanced at the watch on his wrist, "I have something to attend to in the morning, I'll leave soon."
Seeing that the divorce agreement had already been taken by Old Mrs. Ford, Lolita felt relieved and said, "Madam, it's alright. Mr. Ford can go and busy himself!"
"Hey, why do you still call me Madam?" Old Mrs. Ford immediately corrected her, "Since you married Hans, you should call me Mom!"
Lolita widened her eyes, looking at Old Mrs. Ford, who could be her own grandmother, "Ah? Mom?..."
"Hey! That's right!" Old Mrs. Ford quickly agreed, her eyes crinkling with a smile. She then looked at Hans and said, "You should not call him Mr. Ford either, it's too formal. You should call him husband!"
Lolita widened her eyes again, looking at the imposing wealthy gentleman in front of her, her face turning heated, "Hus...husband..."
Hans's face turned ominously dark.
Butler Tom felt embarrassed!
Hans glanced at the time again, stood up with his tall figure, and said, "Butler Tom, take her to the hospital later and print another copy of the divorce agreement."
Butler Tom bowed and replied, "Yes, Mr. Ford."
Seeing that Hans was clearly not taking her words seriously, Old Mrs. Ford's expression changed as well. With a stern tone, she said, "Lolita, you don't need to sign it. Let's see what he dares to do to you!"
Hans walked out of the villa...
Secretary Brown also came over and stood in front of the car, waiting for him.
As Secretary Brown opened the car door, he said, "Mr. Ford, Miss Lin called. She made a list and wants to buy a lot of luxury items."
"Whatever she wants, she'll get," Hans didn't mind the cost, "No need to consult me in the future."
"Understood. Also, Miss Lin said to invite you to her place tonight..."
"Change my itinerary, free up my evening." Hans got into the car; indeed, he should go see her.
...
In the living room of the villa, old Mrs. Ford asked Lolita again, "Your parents seem to call you Lolita, so I'll address you that way too."
"Okay, please feel free," Lolita nodded.
"But don't be too disheartened," old Mrs. Ford said with a double meaning, "Though Hans may seem cold, as long as you put in more effort, you'll definitely fall in love over time."
Lolita clenched her fist, as they clearly despised her, how could she win his affection?
"After all, with your beautiful appearance, which man wouldn't like you!" Old Mrs. Ford looked satisfied with the Lolita she had chosen, "However, as I said last night, if Hans treats you poorly, remember to tell me."
Butler Tom next to them frowned as he listened.
Indeed, Mr. Ford was right!
Madam intends to seize Sir’s handle...
Lolita smiled, "But you heard just now, he has someone he wants to marry..."
"So what!" old Mrs. Ford immediately put on a stern face, "He's only attracted to some singer, probably just to oppose me. You must keep an eye on your husband!"
Lolita's eyes flickered, unsure of what to say...
Seeing her silence, old Mrs. Ford took a big bag of her hospital CT scan and medical records from the driver's hand, "These are my CT scan and medical records. Do you want to take a look? The doctor said I need plenty of rest for a while, or I may develop senile dementia!"
Lolita paused and tightened her grip on her fingers, "I...I understand, please rest assured, Grandma."
"What did you call me?"
Lolita raised her eyes and pursed her lips, "...Mom."
"Well, that's right!" old Mrs. Ford stood up with a smile and said to Butler Tom beside her, "Butler Tom, since Lolita has a foot injury, please quickly take her to the hospital."
Butler Tom bowed, "Yes, Madam."
After old Mrs. Ford left, Lolita received a phone call.
Home phone.
"Lolita, quickly tell Mom, who is that old lady's son?" Amelia eagerly asked over the phone. "I wanted to ask you last night, but your dad said it wasn't a good time when you called us."
Newlywed? Lolita sighed helplessly. "Mom, he is that Hans, but he doesn't like me..."
"What?!" Amelia exclaimed, "Is it Hans, the CEO of K&G Group? And that old lady yesterday, was she Hans' mother?!"
"Mom, I sprained my foot," Lolita said.
"Lolita, you married a billionaire!" Amelia didn't even hear what Lolita said. "This means you have good fortune! You need to listen to that old lady and win the billionaire's affection. It will benefit our family in the future! Chandler, Lolita married a billionaire..."
Dad, shocked, joined the conversation, "Give me the phone, Lolita, listen, you have to mention our company to Hans more..."
Lolita listened to her parents and let out a sigh.
It seemed that her parents had already forgotten about the threat from old Mrs. Ford when they heard she married a billionaire.
