Chapter 2: Give It to Her, But She Must Be Capable of Getting It

Seeing the scene now where a group of people were accusing her.

It was her senior year of high school, when she was eighteen, that Bianca was startled at school and had an episode.

And to help her, Emily fell into the lake and came back with a high fever.

If anyone actually cared about her even a little, they would notice the flush of fever on her face at this moment.

“What are you staring at? You can still sleep? Heartless! Get out of bed!”

As Emily was recalling the old scene, Eli, dissatisfied, was about to drag her out of bed.

Her body was weak, and she tumbled to the floor.

She fell onto an easel holding a painting not far from the bed.

It was Bianca's recently painted sunflowers, drying here.

“Bianca's painting... This is Bianca's hard work for days, Emily, are you doing this on purpose? Growing up in a dump, you have no manners.”

Her brother Finn Johnson, only a year older than Bianca, and closest to her, glared and scolded.

Emily sneered inwardly.

The so-called hard work for days was just a few strokes and some coloring.

Most of it was painted by her, which is why Bianca didn’t mind Emily living in her private studio.

And the absurd reason for letting her live in the studio was that the family feared Bianca would get too emotional and have an episode if she saw Emily, and the studio was on the top floor, far from Bianca’s room.

Emily didn’t bother to expose them. Her head hurt more and more, and she kept silent.

After all, you can't wake someone who’s pretending to sleep, nor change the hearts of biased people.

“Talk! Are you mute? When you bullied Bianca, when you conspired with people at school, why didn’t you go mute then?” Her other brother Hayden Johnson frowned, also dissatisfied.

He directly pulled Emily in front of them, facing their anger.

Emily looked up expressionlessly, “What should I say? That it wasn’t me, or that I saw that person laughing and chatting with Bianca, and that person was invited by her.”

She sneered sarcastically.

In her previous life, she had explained that she didn’t harm Bianca but went to help her.

But what did she get? They didn’t believe she would be so kind.

Instead, they assumed the school bully was called by her, otherwise, how would he know Bianca’s whereabouts.

Since explanations were useless, why waste her breath.

Eli slapped Emily’s head, making her face swell instantly, with clear finger marks.

“Bastard, at such a young age, you’re so malicious. Not only did you scare Bianca into an episode, but you also tried to ruin her reputation,”

Except for Chase, everyone else looked at Emily with no sympathy for her injuries.

Emily felt deeply disappointed.

But she stubbornly held her head high, unlike before when she would humbly compromise to please.

“You’re angry, but why hit Emily!”

It was Cleo who, after Eli hit and scolded her, gently patted Eli’s arm, disapprovingly.

Then she stepped forward to pull Emily, “Child, why are you so stubborn? Bianca had an episode because of you. You know she’s been frail since birth, and the whole family is careful with her.

“You were indeed wrong this time. Go apologize to Bianca properly. She’s kind-hearted and will forgive you.”

Emily felt nauseated looking at Cleo’s fake kind face.

In her previous life, whenever she was hurt by the family, Cleo would come pretending to be nice, giving her hope.

Making her abandon herself to please everyone repeatedly.

Maybe because she thought Emily was dying and didn’t need to pretend anymore, Cleo finally showed her true face.

“Ugh...”

Emily forcefully shook off Cleo’s hand and stepped back.

Cleo stumbled, looking hurt at Emily.

Aiden, who had been silent, spoke sternly, “Emily, you’ve gone too far. Today, you must sincerely apologize.”

Emily’s face was cold.

“So, this is your real purpose, right? Why beat around the bush, just say it.”

“Emily, why are you speaking so harshly now?”

Cleo looked hurt, pointing at Emily.

“If you won’t speak, then get out!” She ignored them and lay back on the bed.

“The opportunity to be Mr. Williams' student, give it to Bianca. After all, you saved Mr. Williams, even if there’s no opportunity now, if you want to learn, he would teach you.”

Eli held back, speaking in a calm tone.

Hayden agreed, “You don’t have Bianca’s talent for painting anyway. Learning won’t make a difference, better give the chance to Bianca.”

“Okay!”

Just when everyone thought Emily would make a fuss, she agreed straightforwardly.

“Are you playing tricks?” Finn asked uncertainly.

Everyone, reminded by Finn, felt Emily’s quick agreement wasn’t good.

Hayden couldn’t help but say, “Emily, don’t scheme against Bianca. She’s kind-hearted, and it’s because of her you were found. You should be grateful. Once you give the spot, don’t think about taking it back.”

Emily wondered how she didn’t see her own foolishness before.

She actually felt grateful to Bianca for this.

Turns out the underlying meaning was that she was found because her bone marrow was useful for Bianca.

As for the student spot.

She gave it, it’s given.

But, she feared Bianca couldn’t handle it.

Bianca didn’t have any painting talent. Most of her work was Emily’s ideas and paintings, with Bianca adding a few strokes at the end.

She did save John, but she initially didn’t want to be his student.

She was too busy, busy helping the Johnson family solve company crises, busy pleasing everyone.

If it wasn’t for James Smith wanting to fulfill his grandmother Uma’s wish to be John’s student, she wouldn’t have agreed to John’s condition to include James.

If she didn’t want the spot, no one else could have it.

“The spot is given, or does Bianca want something else from me? Just say it.”

“Where did you learn this tone? This is your compensation for Bianca. Don’t act so wronged.” Eli scolded.

“Nothing else? Then you can leave!” Emily issued a dismissal.

Her head was throbbing, listening to them was making it worse.

“You...”

Eli, being dismissed by the unfavored Emily, naturally wanted to get angry.

“Emily, Bianca is alone in the hospital. We’ll go see her now. Reflect on yourself. Everyone cares for you, and wants you to learn well.”

Cleo quickly pulled Eli, speaking earnestly as if she cared.

Finally, they left with a “Do better,” and walked out.

The door closed, isolating her from the outside, seemingly dividing her and them into two worlds.

Emily struggled to sit up from the bed.

Her head was getting more muddled, her forehead hot enough to cook an egg, her face flushed.

She needed to get to the hospital, otherwise, her rebirth would be wasted if she burned herself into a fool.

The door opened again at this moment.

Emily frowned, impatiently, “What now? Isn’t it over?”
