Chapter 3 Is the Person in Front of Me Really Isabella?

Chase was taken aback by the look in Isabella's eyes, his eyelids even fluttered slightly.

After a few seconds of shock, he furrowed his brows and said, "Tobias just doesn't want to sit with you. What's the big deal?"

"Then I told him to leave. What's wrong with that?"

Chase's stern expression darkened instantly. He gave Isabella a hard look, then turned to Tobias. "Move to another seat."

Isabella was acting so out of character. Yesterday, she was bending over backwards to please Tobias, and today she's telling him to leave.

Tobias wrinkled his nose, not wanting to argue with her. He reluctantly moved to sit next to Bianca, but he still felt uneasy.

Isabella was always so gentle when she talked to him. What was up with her attitude today?

Across the table, Gabriel clenched his fists, glaring at Isabella with discontent.

Wasn't she being a bit too arrogant today?

Seeing Isabella reach for a piece of dessert, Gabriel immediately spun the lazy Susan.

He moved the dessert in front of himself and Bianca, glaring fiercely at Isabella. "Isabella, Bianca likes this dessert. It's hers. Don't touch it!"

With that, Gabriel took a piece of the dessert and placed it in front of Bianca.

Bianca smiled sweetly, taking small bites of the dessert, a hint of schadenfreude flashing in her eyes.

So what if Isabella was the Taylor family's biological daughter?

Everyone in this house only loved her!

Isabella gave Gabriel a calm glance and reached for another dish, but Gabriel spun the lazy Susan again.

She put down her utensils, eyes narrowing slightly.

Gabriel kept spinning the lazy Susan, arrogantly shouting, "Isabella, why aren't you eating? Are you full? If you're full, then leave!"

Gabriel's actions seemed to ease Tobias's expression.

Bianca put on a worried face, gently tugging on Gabriel's sleeve and whispering, "Gabriel, don't bully Isabella. It's not right."

Gabriel scoffed, "Bianca, you saw how she treated Tobias. How can I let her get away with that?"

After speaking, Gabriel turned to see Isabella staring at him quietly, her gaze unsettling.

He frowned, "Isabella, why are you looking at me like that? I just asked you to leave some food for Bianca. Are you mad?"

"I'm not mad."

Isabella picked up a dish and walked towards Gabriel.

Gabriel looked at her, puzzled. "What are you doing?"

Isabella dumped the dish, plate and all, over his head, her voice cold, "This dish is for you too—"

"Isabella! You!"

With the sound of the plate crashing to the floor, Gabriel let out a crazed shout.

The food spilled all over his head.

Oil smeared his face.

Everyone present was shocked, staring at Isabella in disbelief.

Not only because the usually meek Isabella had dumped a plate of food on Gabriel's head, but because it was Gabriel.

The Gabriel that Isabella had sweetly called "Gabriel" ever since she came to this house.

"Isabella! Are you crazy?!"

Gabriel jumped up, the chair scraping loudly against the floor.

He wiped his hair frantically, his hand covered in oil, furious. "Isabella, do you see what you've done?!"

Isabella met Gabriel's furious gaze, unfazed. "Gabriel, don't mess with me in the future."

"You..." Gabriel was at a loss for words, staring at Isabella's unfamiliar expression. Was this really Isabella?

Tobias frowned, "Isabella, how could you treat your brother like this..."

Isabella cut him off coolly, "I don't have a brother like him."

Tobias was stunned.

Gabriel's eyes widened, looking at Isabella in disbelief. What did she mean by not having a brother like him? He hadn't even accepted her yet! How dare she say that?

"Alright, stop this nonsense and apologize to Gabriel." Tobias put down his knife and fork, walking over and lightly grasping Isabella's sleeve. "Mom made you kneel yesterday to reflect. Haven't you learned your lesson?"

Isabella suddenly grabbed his wrist and pushed him away.

Tobias stumbled, his waist hitting the table corner, staring at Isabella in shock. He couldn't believe Isabella had actually laid hands on him, and with such strength...

Tobias's handsome face instantly turned icy, gritting his teeth. "I'm your brother!"

Isabella's hands hung by her sides, retorting discontentedly, "I don't have a brother like you either!"

Bianca, seeing the tense atmosphere, quickly got up and went to Isabella, trying to take her hand. "Isabella, calm down. If you don't want Gabriel to serve me food, I won't eat at the table anymore. If you want the Taylor family daughter's title, I can give it to you, okay?"

Isabella found Bianca's voice grating. Such a good actress. She forcefully grabbed Bianca's hand, pulling her with a sneer, "Bianca, you really understand me. Then let's do as you say and announce that you're actually the adopted daughter of the Taylor family."

Bianca was stunned. How could that be? Before she could react, Isabella, expressionless, dragged Bianca towards the door.

Bianca instinctively resisted.

Isabella turned to her, shouting in displeasure, "Walk! Why aren't you moving?"

Bianca looked at the defiant Isabella in shock, "Isabella, you..."

"Let go of Bianca!"

Chase, who had been silent, had clearly reached his limit, his face darkening ominously. "What's all this fuss about? Just for the title of the Taylor family's daughter, you have to force Bianca to give it up?"

"When did I force her? Isn't she the one who offered?"

Isabella let go of Bianca's hand, giving Chase a cold look. "Idiot."

She left those words behind and turned to leave.

"Stop right there!"

Chase's eyes flashed with a strange light. Isabella had just given him a look he'd never seen before and called him an idiot?

Isabella paused, looking back at Chase with a slight frown, her eyes filled with impatience. "What else do you want to say?"
