That night, the hallway was exceptionally loud.

Through the dorm door, I heard Chloe knocking on the doors of the adjacent rooms, one by one.

"Can I borrow two hundred bucks? One hundred is fine too, I swear I'll pay you back next month..."

The only response she got was undisguised, mocking laugh...
