NARRATOR
It was the night of terror for the werewolf kingdom. The sun had started to set. The winter season has started already. The Dark Moon pack was waiting for the blood moon. That night, all packs of the Emerald Kingdom, (the werewolf kingdom), gathered in the forests in their pack lands. They would light up the green bonfire, (the bonfire with green flames), and pray to the Moon Goddess to give them the power to bear the hardships of the lunar eclipse on the werewolf lands. (The werewolves are mostly left powerless while the lunar is powerless.)
Althea made her way into the alpha's mansion. She was making her way to Orlando's bedroom, (the alpha's son and Althea's crush). She bumped into Alpha Damon.
Althea fell on her bum and whimpered as her bum hit the floor. "You need to keep your eyes open while walking into this mansion. This place is full of giants and you look like a mere fawn in front of all of us." Alpha Damon spoke as he turned around to look at Althea, rubbing her bum.
Alpha Damon leaned over and offered Althea his hand. "Are you hurt, sweetie?" Asked the alpha in a concerned tone as he helped Althea up. Althea was friends with Alpha's daughter, Callista. And he treated Althea as an equal to his daughter. Althea had a loving and caring family. But she was Alpha's favorite because of her highest rank in the pack's academy.
Althea was a born genius. As the Emerald Kingdom learned about her yearly reports, they asked Alpha Damon to send Althea to the kingdom's academy, the Emerald Academy. Even Alpha's children were not given that kind of opportunity. That made Alpha Damon very happy and he was proud of Althea.
It was last year for Althea studying in The Dark Moon pack. After her exams, she would be going to the Emerald Academy along with Orlando, the future Alpha of the Dark Moon pack.
Althea stood up with Alpha Damon's help. She looked at Alpha Damon and smiled cheekily. "Yes, Alpha. I am alright." Althea replied to Alpha in a polite tone. Alpha Damon smiled as he heard Althea. He nodded his head and gestured to Althea to walk with him.
"So, what brought you here? Callista is not home. She went out with Alexander five minutes ago." Asked Alpha Damon in a mischievous tone, knowing well what might have brought Althea to the mansion. Everyone was aware of her feelings for Orlando.
It made Alpha Damon so excited for his future grandbabies. He knew Althea's babies were going to be as smart and tough as Althea was. "Orlando asked me to bring him the list of the courses we were given. He wanted to check if we didn't miss anything." Althea innocently replied to Alpha's question. Although Althea was three years younger than Orlando, they were at the same standard in the academy. Alpha wanted to test Althea every single year. She was a year junior in the academy than Callista when she joined at the age of three. She started jumping years very soon.
Alpha Damon frowned in confusion as he heard Althea. "We are preparing for the Emerald Academy," Althea added in a low tone, knowing well the reason behind Alpha Damon's confusion. Alpha Damon smiled and patted her head.
"You can find Orlando in the back garden. I think he went there with his books to read them." Alpha Damon proudly informed Althea. Bowing her head in respect, Althea walked away.
Althea went towards the garden and looked around for Orlando. She found Orlando lying in a hammock swing. There was a romance novel in his hands. He was reading the novel. Althea walked towards him and placed the list on his chest. "Here is your list. Now I have to go. Callie called me to the mall. We have to buy new clothes for tonight." Althea informed Orlando in a low tone.
Orlando turned his head while frowning. "What will you be wearing?" He asked her in a low tone. Althea giggled softly.
"A turtle neck red sweater and skinny black jeans. I saw it online. It looked so beautiful." Althea replied to him excitedly. Orlando sighed in relief and ruffled her hair.
"You are a good girl. Ask the driver to take you to the mall. Don't go alone. You are still just thirteen." Orlando spoke in a low tone as he buried his eyes in the book again. Shouting a cute "Okay!" Althea made her way back into the mansion.

Callista stepped out of her bedroom in her beautiful halter dress. Alexander was standing in front of her room, waiting for Callista. As soon as his eyes caught her sight, he started coughing. He was choking on his saliva. "What are you wearing? How many times do I have to tell you? You are just a child. You should wear something appropriate for the prayers." Alexander tried to keep his tone as calm as possible. He had never yelled at anyone before. Or that's what he believed. There was someone specific in the pack who always got yelled at by Alexander. But Alexander never noticed that.
With an angry pout on her face, Callista went back into her bedroom to change her clothes. She knew that it would be impossible for her to leave the mansion without changing when Alexander had asked her to change. She stepped back out wearing a red long silk skirt with a white blouse. "Happy now! You don't let me wear anything at all." Callista yelled at Alexander as she pushed him away and walked towards the stairs.
---------------------------------------------------------
Callista and Althea were sitting together. They were sitting at the far back. As everyone got busy with the prayer, Althea felt something. She opened her eyes and turned her head. Althea saw Callista walking away from the bonfire. Gritting her teeth in annoyance, she also stood up and followed her friend.
Callista didn't like being bound by rules and laws. She didn't like to pray. But she very much liked to cause trouble for her parents. She was a problem child. She liked to rebel against her father and his rules. But she could hardly say anything to Alexander. She couldn't deny whatever he asked her to do. That's why Alpha Damon ordered Alexander to keep an eye on Callista.
"Callie! Wait! Where are you going? It's an eclipse. We are supposed to be praying." Althea called out of Callista in confusion. Smiling excitedly, Callista walked back towards Althea. She grabbed Althea's hand and pulled her away. Callista didn't reply to the question Althea had asked Callista. Callista pulled Althea deep into the woods, and towards Althea's home.
