Chapter 342

Judy’s POV

I stared in shock as the gammas rounded on Alpha Levi. Lila seemed to have jumped out of the way; her face pale and her eyes as wide as mine.

“You can’t arrest me!” Levi shouted, his growl dark and sending a chill down my spine. “Do you have any idea who I am?! I am a Lycan wolf. You cannot arrest me!”

“Under the guidelines of what our ancestors created, if we come to an agreement, all three of us… Then we can arrest you and take down your status,” Mica explained, folding his arms across his chest. He looked so serious, and his aura was radiant. I couldn’t help but shiver; the presence of four Lycans was almost too much for anyone to handle.

I glanced at Edward to see how he was holding up, and just as I thought, he looked like he was about to have a panic attack.

Gavin kept a firm grip on my hip like he was afraid I would disappear on him. I felt comforted by his presence at least. When I looked up at him, he was staring daggers at Levi.

“Levi, we have unimaginable evidence against you,” Jeremy said, shaking his head. “Mica and I were going through everything Beta Taylor and Alpha Gavin had sent us. I can’t even fathom how you thought you could get away with this? Also… there was a written statement from one of the rogues that confirmed that you were involved in the takedown of the Redcliff pack?”

I raised my brows; of course, I knew that Levi and his Beta had something to do with that, but I didn’t think a rogue would be the one to rat them out. I wondered what was offered to this rogue to betray them like that.

“That rogue is lying,” Levi said through his teeth.

“She knows the consequences of lying to a Lycan,” Gavin said, his tone calm and collected as if he was speaking about the weather. “She was pregnant with a child and was promised protection and the comfort of a pack if she complied. She would do anything for her unborn baby. She just lost her husband, so she’s alone. I assured her safety and the safety of her baby if she complied and told the truth.”

I was surprised by this. I had no idea what kind of things he was actually doing behind the scenes, without me even realizing it. I was right to trust him, and I would tell him as much later on.

I heard gasps from the banquet; there was no doubt in my mind now that Taylor was recording the whole thing and broadcasting it live for them all to see. I wondered where this broadcast was playing.

“There’s also evidence against Rebecca… aka Lil,” Taylor said, narrowing his eyes at her and positioning his phone to point directly at her.

Her face reddened with rage as she took a step away from him; her failed attempts to cover her face were almost laughable because everybody had already seen her standing here the entire time.

“You have nothing on me,” Lila hissed.

“Falsified pregnancy test reports and other fabricated exams are certainly something,” Taylor said, raising his brows. “You were pregnant with another man’s baby… a human… and then got an abortion after you were found out. However, before that… you had trouble getting pregnant, and it took you a couple of tries. But you still pretended like you were pregnant and used fake reports to prove your case. Once you were pregnant, you had to falsify the day to make it match up with your story.”

“N… no… You can’t prove that,” Lila nearly screamed.

“We already did,” Taylor said, shaking his head. “My mate is the best doctor in the country. It was easy for her to figure everything out and get me the evidence needed.”

Lila’s face went completely white; she looked like a ghost. Levi continued to snarl and snap at the gammas who tried to get close to him. They held up the silver handcuffs, ready to make an arrest, but Levi wasn’t having any of it.

“Get your hands away from me,” Levi growled; his wolf fighting ot take control.

“You have no power here, Levi,” Mica said, his eyes narrowed. “We have months of evidence on you. We should have never allowed it to get that far… but the cherry on top was hacking Gavin’s system, shutting down his security, and transferring his funds into your account. Thankfully, they figured out quickly and put a stop to it.”

Without warning, Levi lunged at Mica.

I gasped, thinking there was going to be a Lycan fight right in front of my eyes. My Levi’s movements were slower than I expected, almost weaker.

“What the fuck,” Levi gasped, staring down at his own hands when Mica easily dodged the attack.

“You’ve been stripped of your title,” Jeremy said, sounding almost bored.

“W…what?” Levi gasped. “Y… you can’t do that!”

“We learned, did,” Mica said, dusting off his coat. “We signed the treaty of removal before we got here. After all the evidence was thoroughly gone through, we collectively decided that you are not chairperson material. Though you will always have traces of Lycan blood, the powers that came with being a chairmen have been stripped from you.”

“And once we finally get these cuffs on you, your Lycan abilities will be gone as well,” one of the gammas boldly stated.

“Get the fuck away from me!” Levi growled, and then he tried to make a run for it. Despite not having his normal chairmen ability, he was still pretty fast, nd nobody seemed to be ready for him to attempt to run, certainly not Lila, who looked dumbstruck and gutted that he would leave her behind.

One of the Gammas had already cuffed her; she didn’t struggle because she knew she wouldn’t stand a chance in a room full of Lycans and Gammas.

Gavin turned to me, his grip on my hip loosening. He bent and brushed his lips against mine; the kiss was soft and sweet, taking me by surprise.

“Stay here,” he whispered against my lips.

I nodded, my heart pounding against my chest.

Then, it was like he vanished in front of my eyes. I blinked, feeling the slight breeze of him as he zoomed past me at lightning speed. I quickly turned to see that he already had Levi in his grip and his fist was plowing into Levi’s stomach, making him grunt out in pain.

My mouth fell open; I should be terrified… seeing Gavin like this wasn’t something I was used to. But I wasn’t terrified at all. In fact, it was kind of a turn on.

My cheeks were flushing for an entirely different reason.

Mica and Jermey didn’t look phased in the least; in fact, they looked amused. They glanced at one another, like they were having a silent conversation, before they turned to Levi and crowded around him.

“Levi, you are hereby removed as chairman. You are being arrested for so many crimes, and you are no longer the Alpha of your own pack. We will collectively decide on a new Alpha, a decision you have no part of,” Mica said, his lip curling in disgust. “In the meantime, you will be held in a maximum security prison until we can figure out what to do with you.”

The gammas finally managed to cuff Levi while he was at his weakest point; once the cuffs were on him, Gavin finally released him and let him fall to the floor in pain.

Within the second, Gavin was back by my side.

I gasped when I saw his blood knuckles. I grabbed his hand and brought the wound to my lips.

“You’re hurt,” I whispered, kissing his hand gently.

“It’ll heal quickly,” he assured me, wrapping me in his arms and inhaling my scent deeply. “I’ll be okay.”

I buried my face in his chest, and I knew with certainty that he was right; he was going to be okay. We all were… Levi was going to prison, and the threat was now gone.

“You did it,” I told him, peeking up at him, a smile lighting my face. “You actually did it.”

He smiled down at me, his lips finding mine in another sweet and gentle kiss. I’m sure he didn’t want to be too needy in front of others, and I couldn’t really blame him. I wanted him all to myself, nd I couldn’t wait until we could go back to the villa.

Mica approached us, breaking through the little bubble that we created for ourselves.

“Jeremy and I will get him out of here. We’ll meet up tomorrow to figure out the plans going forward,” Mica told Gavin.

Gavin nodded and outstretched his hand to shake; the men shook hands firmly.

“We have a hotel suite set up for you and Jeremy at the Carter Resort. Feel free to stay for as long as needed,” Gavin told him. “I’ll meet you both there tomorrow afternoon for our meeting.”

Mica nodded and turned to Jeremy, who was overseeing Levi and Lila being escorted out by the gammas.

“It was good to see you again, Miss Judy,” Mica said, bowing his head to me slightly.

“You as well, Alpha,” I said to him in return.

With that, the room started to clear, and Taylor approached us, still holding the phone up, livestreaming everything.

“Any final words?” He asked.

Gavin looked at the camera lens on the phone.

“I hope we can all move past the events of today. My territory is safe now, and that’s all that matters. Stay tuned for a special announcement soon,” Gavin said, raising my brows.

“Signing out,” Taylor said as he turned off the livestream.

“Who were you streaming that to?” I asked.

“The world,” Taylor grinned. “There were billions of people watching. It was surreal. The comments are going nuts. I didn’t have time to go through all of them, but there were a ton about you.”

My eyes grew wide.

“Me?” I asked. “What were they saying about me?”

Taylor opened his mouth to speak, but Gavin stopped him.

“Perhaps we should discuss this another time,” he suggested, his point made loud and clear.

Taylor cleared his throat, looking a bit awkward, before he nodded and ran his hand through his hair.

“Right,” he murmured.

Gavin turned to me, his expression softening.

“How about we go home?” He suggested, tucking a strand of loose hair behind my ear.

I smiled at his words.

Home…

I liked the sound of that.
