Chapter1 The Exposed Scheme

When the business associate poured wine for Caius, Linnea caught a strange scent in the red wine.

Spring medicine. The most common type in nightclubs.

As Caius's secretary and female companion, Linnea should have warned him, but she pretended not to notice anything and continued eating quietly.

Until Caius's breathing became heavy, and the hormonal scent emanating from his body grew stronger.

Under the table, when that enormous palm suddenly gripped her thigh, the heat from his hand made her scalp tingle. He could easily wrap his palm around her entire thigh. This physical intimidation instinctively frightened her.

But immediately after, she realized this meant her scheme was about to succeed. Excitement surged through her, pushing negative emotions to the back of her mind.

Like any competent secretary, she helped the "unwell" CEO back to the presidential suite on the top floor.

The moment the elevator doors opened, he wrapped his arms around her from behind, burying his head in her neck. His mumbling came mixed with heavy alcohol breath. "Miss Secretary, did you call my family doctor?"

Linnea was just an intern secretary who had been with the company for three months and had never interacted with Caius closely. He didn't even remember her name.

Of course Linnea hadn't called.

"Sorry, sir. Neither the family doctor nor the secretary can be reached. Let me help you back to your room first, then I'll try contacting them again, okay?"

"Okay."

He agreed too quickly, almost suspiciously so. But Linnea, lost in her excitement, didn't notice.

She hauled Caius back to the room and dumped him on the bed, working up a full head of sweat.

She felt a little guilty toward this man. He was about to sleep with a strange woman while unconscious, and the next day he would wake up, rubbing his blank brain, only to have her falsely accuse him of forcing himself on her.

But she was sorry. She had to do this. This was the most critical step in the revenge she had carefully planned over five years of lying low: sleeping with the fiancé who originally belonged to her but was stolen by her jealous stepsister!

As she put Caius down, his arm remained hooked around her neck, pulling her onto the bed with him. She leaned against Caius's upper arm in an intimate position, listening to his pulse beat more vigorously. She knew he couldn't hold back much longer.

"What's your name?"

"Linnea Clair."

"Linnea? Charming name, just like you."

That hand covered her thigh again. His large fingers pulled aside her pencil skirt and slid up along the inside of her thigh. She pretended to be frightened and cried out, "Sir, Caius, this won't do. Please stop!"

Even as she said this, she was certain he wouldn't stop. Because of that potent aphrodisiac.

Sure enough, he didn't choose to listen. Their two bodies pressed tightly together. The scorching male body temperature enveloped her completely. Below, that hard thing poked against her bottom, ramming into her forcefully.

This thing was about to pierce into her body again. At the thought, she couldn't help but tremble.

Five years ago, she had experienced his size.

That night, she encountered a terrifying gunfight on a yacht. The gunfire never stopped. She and this man were being hunted by their respective enemies, but they were hiding in a cramped storage room, neither knowing the other's identity. From excitement to sweetness to crying and begging for mercy, he never stopped until she passed out from exhaustion.

"Linnea, what do you want? I can give you anything, as long as you're willing to sleep with me."

She still maintained the act of a conservative girl, extending her hand to push against his chest. "Sorry, sir. I'm not the kind of girl who sells her body for money or status. Please calm down..."

Caius embraced her from behind. She couldn't see his expression, only feel him pressing his face against her neck again, breathing deeply.

"Mmm, very strong fragrance. Is it perfume you sprayed? Laundry detergent? Body wash?"

"None of those."

This conversation was familiar. Five years ago, Caius slept with her precisely because of her scent. He said this scent could calm his mania, bringing him back from a state of madness.

That night, it was also her comfort that allowed Caius to regain his sanity before the killers sent by his enemies broke down the storage room door.

"Has anyone ever complimented your scent?"

"No one has mentioned it."

"Is it because no one else has ever smelled it? This is your arousal scent, isn't it?"

"Ah!" She was shocked by such blunt words and cried out, her cheeks flushing. "It is not!"

The man's other hand moved to her neck, sliding until it could loosely grip it. He chuckled. "Is that so? Charming Linnea, you won't admit it because you're shy?"

"I'm not..."

Just as she was about to answer, she suddenly sensed something was wrong.

Caius spoke with more rationality and coherence than other men whose brains had been numbed by alcohol and aphrodisiacs.

And that large palm on her neck seemed to accidentally squeeze her Adam's apple. She dry heaved, panicking until her scalp tingled. "Don't touch my neck!"

"Just an accident." He laughed softly again, stroking her slightly trembling carotid artery. "You look charming when you're scared too."

The other palm continued wandering toward her buttocks. Just as it was about to pull at the edge of her underwear, she clamped her legs together. "Please stop!"

This was her last time playing the innocent girl. When tomorrow came, she could completely clear herself of suspicion. And Caius surely wouldn't comply.

But unexpectedly, that palm stopped.

"Stop? Okay." He said, "Even though my thing is painfully hard, I'm willing to be a gentleman for you."

Linnea bit her lip hard. Damn, she had almost moaned just then.

But Caius shouldn't have stopped, right? He had taken a potent aphrodisiac. How could he be immune to the drug's effects? Was it really because of his ridiculous gentlemanly spirit?

No, Caius couldn't stop. If she couldn't successfully sleep with him tonight, it would cause many problems for her scheme.

"Stop?"

"Don't stop."

The man laughed pleasantly. "I knew it, kitten. After all, you've wanted me to fuck you since you opened the car door for me downstairs tonight and took my suit jacket."

What was he saying? He had guessed it?

Linnea's whole body stiffened.

"You look very worried."

Linnea insisted, "No, I'm not."

"Worried about what?"

"Are you worried about how I'll deal with you after I sober up, for the serious dereliction of duty of you as my secretary trying to sleep with me, your boss who has a partner?"

The next second, the large palm gripped her neck viciously.

Caius had exposed her scheme!
