Chapter 6

As soon as those words were spoken, the two people who had thought Jim Milne would immediately back down gasped in surprise.

“What? Say that again?”

With a fierce expression on his face, Myron Hoppe tilted his head and said to Jim Milne in a scornful tone.

Just as a wolf looks at a gentle sheep, Jim Milne, deep down in his subconscious, was nothing more than a sheep waiting to be killed.

“I don’t say things twice.” Feeling Myron Hope’s aggressive gaze, Jim Milne said jokingly.

This behavior of disregarding oneself completely angered Myron Hope.

In the Hope family, Myron Hope was considered someone who was second to none. But this arrogant young man not only didn’t fear him, but Jim Milne’s calm demeanor also made him lose face in front of everyone, especially in front of his beloved woman.

“Kid, it seems like you won’t cry until you see the coffin, huh? It’s this late, and you’re still trying to act tough? Who do you think you’re trying to fool?”

Myron Hope continued, “You’re not going to live long enough to regret this!”

I saw his right hand move to his lips, and he blew out a loud whistle.

“Young Master Hope.”

After a short while, dozens of men in black stood behind him, all with fierce expressions on their faces.

Myron Hope narrowed his eyes, a dark look flashing in them. He said in a deep voice to the burly man beside him, “Aaron, go ahead! Kill him for me!”

“Yes, Young Master Hope!” Kirong immediately obeyed the order. He crossed his fingers and relaxed his hand muscles.

Wave after wave of bone-cracking sounds echoed through the auction hall, like a symphony of death.

“Young Master Hope, your subordinate is quite formidable!” This burly man was covered in muscles, and every movement of his exuded immense strength. Rena Daniel felt terrified at the sight.

At that moment, Myron Hope took out a cigar. The moment of showing off had begun. He lit the cigar and let the smoke blur his vision, all in an effort to impress Rena Daniel with his strength.

The burly man’s name was Kilong. He was a skilled fighter that Kilong had recruited from the black market recently. In Birmingham’s underworld, he was known as Aron. His strength and speed were dozens of times greater than those of ordinary people. A single punch of his could shatter marble and penetrate steel plates. Over the past half-month, his exceptional skills had been of great help to Kilong.

At that moment, Jim Milne looked at the crowd before him and sighed deeply. His sigh wasn’t for himself, but for those ignorant people.

“Your Majesty, let me handle this.” Ada Nahum stepped forward and continued, “This time, I’ll bring this battle to an end as quickly as possible!”

“No, that’s just fine. I’m bored anyway. I’ll play with them.” Jim Milne said coldly.

“Weakling, this is Lord Hope’s order. Don’t blame me if you end up in hell.”

Ahead, Kilong had already drawn his dagger from his waist. The smooth blade reflected a cold glint, and a murderous intent surged over it, like a devil stretching out its claws.

“Whoosh!”

The dagger slashed through the air, creating a powerful gust of wind. Its force was so intense that it seemed capable of cutting through anything in its path.

The people around them’s pupils constricted. With Kirong’s terrifying speed and strength, if one were pierced by the dagger in his hand, their bodies would be completely torn apart.

What he didn’t expect was that Jim Milne actually took this blow head-on.

“Such recklessness!” Kirong sneered at this.

This powerful strike, delivered with concentrated force, was equivalent to the combined effort of ten burly men in black. If Jim Milne tried to block it, he would surely be seriously injured.

With that thought, he accelerated even further, charging at Jim Milne like a hungry tiger. The dagger was now just an arm’s length away from Jim Milne.

In times of crisis, Jim Milne didn’t panic. Instead, he faced the situation with even greater determination.

Just as the dagger was about to strike his body, he quickly dodged to the right, using a monkey-like movement to nullify the opponent’s attack.

Kiron’s expression changed dramatically. The speed at which this man had suddenly moved was like that of a sleeping lion revealing its fangs. Even if it was just for a moment, it was enough to send chills down one’s spine.

In shock, Jim Milne quickly turned to the left, using the motion of twisting his waist and hips to swing his right hand across the dragon’s head.

Kiron tried to hide and avoid the attack, but it was too late. Jim Milne struck him on the back of the neck with his right fist.

“Ugh!”

With one punch, Kilong spat out a mouthful of blood. He staggered violently. If it weren’t for him clenching his teeth to stay upright, he would’ve fallen to the ground.

Upon seeing this, everyone in the auction hall was shocked. They couldn’t believe that Jim Milne’s frail-looking body could exert such devastating force.

“Xiaolong, don’t underestimate your opponent.” Myron Hope spoke in a serious tone, clearly displeased.

Obviously, Kiron was quite upset by his defeat in his first encounter with Jim Milne.

“Very well, Young Master Hope!” Kirong nodded reluctantly, a hint of anger flashing in his eyes.

To be honest, it’s shameful to be outdone by someone like Jim Milne.

Gritting his teeth fiercely, Kirong’s veins bulged, and his muscles swelled dramatically, resembling a boiling lobster.

“Swish!”

Kiron threw a hook with incredible speed. Everyone could only see a dark shadow passing by, accompanied by the sound of wind being cut through as it echoed through the auction hall.

By the time he realized what was happening again, Kilron’s heavy punch was already heading straight for Jim Milne’s face, with tremendous force.

“Snap!”

Jim Milne remained calm, slightly raising his somewhat thin hand to calmly block the punch.

From beginning to end, he didn’t take a single step.

Everyone was stunned by what they saw.

I thought Jim Milne remained motionless because he couldn’t dodge the punch. But I never imagined that he wasn’t trying to avoid it at all—instead, he wanted to fight back with violence.

“How is that possible?” Kilong’s pupils constricted sharply, as if struck by lightning.

With this punch, he had exerted all his strength. It was impossible to move even a fraction of an inch while blocking it.

In that moment of terror, he gritted his teeth, determined to throw another punch.

However, something even more horrifying happened next.

No matter how hard he tried, he couldn’t pull his fist back out.

Jim Milne’s hand was like a domain of divine power, trapping him completely helpless.

“Damn it!!!”

Kiron had never been humiliated like this before. At that moment, his heart was filled with shame and anger. His other hand transformed into a claw, and with the strength of his arm, he struck Jim Milne hard on the neck.

This is his Eagle Claw technique, honed over years of practice. It’s fierce and powerful, with attacks as swift as lightning. The force of his fingers is immense, as hard as iron, capable of tearing through anything.

Jim Milne narrowed his eyes and thrust his left shoulder forward, directly colliding with Kilron’s attacking claws.

“Click!”

“Ah!”

The sound of bones breaking echoed along with Giron’s screams, swirling throughout the auction hall like turbulent waves.

He was completely broken-hearted, his face pale. Bean-sized drops of sweat kept streaming down his forehead. He looked utterly miserable.

“Bang!”

Without giving Kilron a chance to breathe, Jim Milne turned around and slammed his shoulder hard into Kilron’s body.

Under the stunned gazes of everyone in the room, Kilron was struck as if by a boulder. He spat out mouthfuls of blood, which landed right at Myron Hope’s feet.

The appearance of this scene once again plunged the entire auction hall into silence.

The people around exchanged glances, each seeing the terrifying expression in the other’s eyes.

Especially Rena Daniel, covering her mouth, her beautiful eyes filled with shock. She stood there, unable to speak for a long time.

It was like a thunderbolt out of the blue, a devastating blow. It felt as though someone had poured a bucket of cold water over me from head to toe, leaving my entire body numb.

The most shocked was Myron Hope. At this moment, the smirk of certainty on his face vanished completely, replaced by a solemn expression.
