Chapter 5 Amazing Combat Arts!
Felix was skilled in combat.
When Grant saw Felix about to attack Amelia, he rushed over to stop him.
"Felix! Stop!"
But Felix's mind was set on killing the person who had harmed Natalie. How could he listen to Grant?
He directly knocked aside Grant who had rushed in front to block his way, and after dodging around him, his palm strike headed toward Amelia again.
Just as the forceful palm was about to hit the back of Amelia's head, Grant thought it was over. He couldn't bear to see Amelia's terrible fate and instinctively closed his eyes.
He only heard a crisp sound—the sound of bones dislocating.
It was over.
Was her skull directly cracked?
Amelia! Their Amelia!
Grant opened his eyes in grief, only to see that the injured person wasn't Amelia at all, but Felix.
Somehow, Amelia had pinned him to the ground with one hand. He couldn't move and looked like he was in pain.
Holden over there had already frozen in shock.
Grant hadn't seen what happened, but Holden had seen it clearly.
Amelia's speed at that moment—the naked eye could only catch a blur. Quick, precise, and ruthless, she turned defense into offense, subduing the enemy with one move, pinning Felix firmly to the ground.
Such fast speed, such impressive ability!
Although he didn't understand Combat Arts, even he could tell that Amelia's ability was definitely above Felix's.
But how was this possible?
Felix was from the Combat Arts Association.
Anyone who could enter the Combat Arts Association had exceptional skills—at least able to take on five people at once.
Could this Amelia really be from the countryside?
While Holden was shocked, Grant had already recovered from his surprise and rushed over to check on Amelia.
"Amelia, are you okay?"
Amelia shook her head expressionlessly.
The martial arts level of the person who ambushed her couldn't hurt her in the slightest.
Felix endured the pain in his arm and glared at Grant.
"You should be asking if I'm okay! Also, who is Amelia? Why are you helping someone who hurt our mom? After one trip out, have you been possessed by a ghost? Have you gone crazy?"
Seeing that Amelia was indeed fine, Grant finally explained to Felix.
"Felix, this is Amelia, our seventh sister! She's not harming Mom, she's treating her, curing her illness."
Felix was stunned and looked back in disbelief.
But from his angle, he could only see Amelia's slender yet powerful arm.
"You're my sister?"
Amelia had already guessed Felix's identity.
Since it was a misunderstanding, she released her hold on Felix.
After responding, she turned back to Natalie's bedside to continue treating her.
Her expression was so calm, as if nothing had just happened.
Now free, Felix could barely stand up from the ground.
Grant looked at Amelia, then at Felix's pale face, and couldn't help asking, "Felix, are you okay?"
Not okay!
His right arm was dislocated, and the lower half of his arm had no strength at all.
The slightest movement brought pain like broken bones.
But his pride wouldn't allow him to admit he was hurt.
How could someone from the Combat Arts Association be defeated by his own sister?
He underestimated her, and she seized the advantage.
After convincing his pride, Felix said stubbornly, "I'm fine!"
Hearing this, Grant didn't suspect anything and breathed a sigh of relief. "That's good. You almost hurt Amelia just now. Be more careful in the future!"
Felix couldn't help looking at Amelia again.
She wore a jacket that looked like something a middle-aged rural woman would wear, covered in patches.
Her presence was icy, and it made him hesitate.
Although from his angle he still couldn't see what Amelia looked like.
But in his memory, Amelia was a sweet, soft, adorable girl.
Yet the Amelia by Natalie's bed had a sharp presence, full of pressure, with no trace of the childhood Amelia he remembered.
"How was I supposed to know she was Amelia? But are you really sure she's our real sister?"
"I've already confirmed it. There's no mistake."
After Grant's explanation, plus the pendant as proof, Felix finally believed it somewhat.
He responded and, enduring the pain, asked why Natalie had suddenly fainted.
At this mention, Grant ground his teeth in anger.
"It's all because of Yasmin!"
"Yasmin? What did she do?"
"From now on, we only have one sister—Amelia! Yasmin has nothing to do with the Richardson family anymore!"
Among Quinton's six sons, everyone except Grant was close to Yasmin.
Hearing Grant say this, Felix instinctively felt it was Grant's problem.
"Grant, you've always had a tense relationship with Yasmin. Whatever conflict you've had with her again, you can't say things like that! From the day she was adopted, she's been our sister!"
Grant laughed bitterly.
He knew Felix was stubborn. Once he decided on a person or matter, he wouldn't easily change his mind.
So Grant didn't bother arguing and directly threw out one copy of the two-part document severing family ties.
"See for yourself!"
Felix suspiciously took the document.
After reading the content, his eyes suddenly widened.
"This is Yasmin's handwriting."
He wouldn't mistake Yasmin's handwriting.
In black and white, it stated that from now on, Yasmin had no relationship with the Richardson family, and the adoption agreement was terminated.
What was going on?
After a moment of surprise, Felix suddenly had a guess.
He grabbed Grant's collar with his uninjured left hand, glaring into Grant's eyes with displeasure.
"Is it because Amelia came back that you're making Yasmin leave our home?"
"Even if the Richardson family has fallen on hard times, can't we afford to feed Yasmin?"
"No matter what, we watched Yasmin grow up. How could you do this!"
Grant was so angry he almost rolled his eyes.
"I said it before—of all us brothers, except for me, you're all blind!"
Felix frowned.
"What nonsense are you talking about? Hurry up and bring Yasmin back and apologize to her properly! Otherwise don't blame me for getting physical with you!"
Grant's face looked terrible. He pushed Felix away and spoke with disappointment.
"You'd even raise your hand against your own brother for an outsider?"
"What spell has Yasmin cast on you that you still can't see her true face?"
"You just asked how Mom suddenly fainted, right?"
"Fine, I'll tell you!"
"I didn't force her to write this document severing family ties—she forced us to sign it!"
"When our family got into trouble, she wrote this document to cut ties with us so we wouldn't affect her marriage into the Sullivan family!"
"Mom fainted because she was so angry at her!"
