Chapter 1
“Mom, who is our father...?” The little boy about five years old, held onto his mother’s arm in the garden, with dark creamy hair, deep-set emerald green eyes, and his narrowed face held up in curiosity.
“Why do you never talk about him?” The other boy who looked just like the first boy, but with sliver blue eyes held onto the other hand.
“He’s a horrifying bastard.” She whispered to herself without staring at the boys as if it was a bad memory she didn’t want to remember.
“Did he hurt you momma?” The last boy, with chestnut brown eyes and a calculative look, stood in front and stopped her from walking past him.
They could see hurt in her eyes whenever they asked of him.
Her sons were her treasure, and never will she let him find out about them. They were her secret to keep, the reason she had lived all these years was because of them.
But their father would never know of their existence, and neither would he find out about them even if he did, there was no way he would care about them.
He was probably remarried.
She scooped them into her arms whilst squatting to their height, her hands played with their hairs.
“Your father is dead.” She murmured with a tight-lipped smile even when she knew the word was too harsh for them, it was for the better. “...don’t ever ask of him again.”
She pulled them into a hug, and their small hands circled her back, consoling her or rather themselves. They choose not to go against their mother’s words and believe everything she says.
“Why don’t you want to tell them about their father?” She tilted her head to the side and frowned at the older woman who came to meet her at the garden, holding a tray of some snacks and juices.
“Nanny Yuri I believed I made it clear from the first day, you mustn’t talk about their father.” Her voice is stern and almost toneless.
“I thought they deserved a chance....”
“Yuri!” She scolded her, her eyes blazing with hate, the nanny in turn stared at her with a sad smile.
“Their father is dead, how many times do I have to tell you, if you keep telling them lies about their father I would have no choice but to replace you!” She wagged a finger at the nanny. She bowed her head to the intimidating mother and glance over at the triplets playing in the garden, whilst trying to catch a butterfly. Her heart felt heavy for them, knowing they deserve a chance to know their father but their cold mother would never allow it.
They giggle happily, and a glint of satisfaction lies in the eyes of the mother.
“But their father is alive...” The nanny began, with a concerned look at the handsome boys.
“Lex, Lois, and Lincoln need to know their identity as werewolves and they are not mare humans, you should let them know their father is...” The mother clenched her fists, extended her hand, and brought her hands up in a furious attack, landing almost a perfect right hook on the side of the nanny’s face.
“Shut up!” She snarled at the nanny, who cowered at her intense gaze.
“They are too young to know anything, I think it’s about time I have you fired old hag!” She glared menacingly at the nanny, she lowered her head, and her hands clasped in front of her. Barely able to say another word.
“Get out of my sight. Tomorrow I’ll find your replacement.” She hissed through her teeth. Nanny Yuri dropped the tray on the small table, bow slowly, and walked away.
She folded her hands and stared at her sons, giggling over the garden. They stopped and waved over at her.
“Mom!” Lex the first boy with emerald eyes yelled with a wave of his hands. “Come get us!”
“Tag, you’re in!” Lois countered and started running.
“That’s not fair! You boys!” She laughed, lift her gown a little with her hands, and went down to meet them.
“I’m not going to be gentle on you, you better don’t let me catch you!” She chuckled and ran after them.
Nanny Yuri, stared at them with a smile across her face, she could take all the pains, the young lady choose to inflict on her for she knew how much she had suffered, the first time she saw her, looking so battered and torn and ready to take her own life.
She deserves the happiness she was getting and she promised never to mention their father to the kids ever again. Those little boys were deprived of a chance to know their father.
She turned and head back into the mansion, her heart bleeding for the young Lady who had shut her heart to everyone except her sons.
“Mom, come get me!” Lex giggled and darted out of their mother’s reach when she tried to get a hold of him and stuck out his tongue at her.
“Told ya, you can’t get me, mommy.”
“I’m going to prove you wrong, Lex. Come here.” They dodged her outstretched arms, running into the garden.
“Mom!” They giggled, and She stood with a playful glare.
“You!” She laughed and ran after them, she caught Lincoln in her arms and scoop him off his feet and she kissed his cheeks.
Lincoln laughed. “She got me!” He yelled to his brothers. They ran to her and she cupped them into her arms. Smiling so brightly.
“So who won?” She tickled them, giggled and squirmed in her hands, and tried to wriggle free.
“You little devils.”
“We know you love us, mommy.” Lex grinned, staring at her eyes.
“I love you a lot!” She draw a big heart and the boys hugged her, their little hands holding her tightly.
It was them against the world, this bond she would never break, she’ll always be by their side protecting them as she should.
And she thought this was the end but little did she know the unimaginable was going to happen.

The Human Among Wolves
My stomach twisted, but he wasn’t finished.
"You're just a pathetic little human," Zayn said, his words deliberate, each one hitting like a slap. "Spreading your legs for the first guy who bothers to notice you."
Heat rushed to my face, burning with humiliation. My chest ached — not from his words alone, but from the sick realization that I had trusted him. That I had let myself believe he was different.
I was so, so stupid.

His deceptions continued until the day the divorce was finalized. I threw the papers in his face: "George Capulet, from this moment on, get out of my life!"
Only then did panic flood his eyes as he begged me to stay.
When his calls bombarded my phone later that night, it wasn't me who answered, but my new boyfriend Julian.
"Don't you know," Julian chuckled into the receiver, "that a proper ex-boyfriend should be as quiet as the dead?"
George seethed through gritted teeth: "Put her on the phone!"
"I'm afraid that's impossible."
Julian dropped a gentle kiss on my sleeping form nestled against him. "She's exhausted. She just fell asleep."

I fell. My head cracked against the corner.
Warmth trickled down my neck. Blood.
Their laughter turned to gasps.
The door slammed.
I tried to stand. Couldn't. The room was spinning, fading to black.
