Chapter 2 2
Chapter 2
Flashback to two weeks ago...
BAMMM
“Anastasya, you shameless girl! How dare you take money from my room!” Helen, Anastasya's stepmother, yelled as she slammed open Anastasya's bedroom door.
Anastasya, who had just returned from work, was startled and panicked, her expression showing fear as she saw her stepmother coming and yelling at her.
“M... Mother? I don't understand what you're saying, I didn't steal your money at all, I just got home and...” As Anastasya tried to explain herself with a nervous voice and a frightened expression, suddenly a slap landed on her beautiful cheek.
“Ahhhh!” Anastasya winced in pain.
She fell to the floor from the hard slap, and when she looked up at her stepmother, Ana could clearly see the angry face.
“Shut up you bitch, you're always bring bad luck! You must be lying. Who else would steal in this house except you?”
"You shameless, disgusting bitch! You should have died with your father and mother! A looser like you doesn't deserve to live, you deserve to die and become dirt! You freak!"
“I don't care, now give me back the money you stole, DAMN IT!” Helen shouted with bulging eyes and a loud voice.
Helen spoke like a judge who could determine whether Ana was guilty or not, even though it was clear that Ana had just come home from work and couldn't have stolen the money.
“B... but I didn't...” Ana lowered her head slightly, her chest tightening and her body shaking violently.
Every time someone mentioned her biological father and mother, Anastasya would experience a panic attack that made her whole body shake and her head hurt terribly.
What Helen said was indeed cruel, but Anastasya couldn't blame her.
It was all because her biological mother was gone when she gave birth to Anastasya, and her father was gone when he took Anastasya to take her college entrance exam a few years ago.
Because of these events, Anastasya's stepmother, who married her father when Anastasya was 4 years old, insulted and accused Anastasya of being a bringer of bad luck.
That was why Anastasya blamed herself and believed that she did indeed bring bad luck to this world.
“ANASTASYA!! DID YOU HEAR ME, RETURN THE MONEY YOU STOLE FROM ME!” Helen shouted even louder, and Anastasya, who was lying on the floor, trembled.
It wasn't just because of her stepmother's shouting, but because she was experiencing a sudden panic attack.
“H-h!” With heavy breathing and a pale face, Anastasya got up and walked over to open her bag.
She had just received her monthly salary from her job at the convenience store, and her stepmother knew that, which was why she was causing all this drama.
With her tiny trembling hands, Ana handed over the envelope containing her monthly salary, her gaze vacant and empty, her heart pounding wildly from panic.
“HAH!” Helen snatched the envelope roughly, then walked out of the room, but before she completely left, she stood at the door and turned to look at Ana, who was already looking pale.
“You should be grateful, Anastasya. I'm not kicking you out of this house. Remember, you don't deserve to live. After your father died, you should have ended your life...”
“But I'm being very generous by giving you a purpose in life so you don't die young! You have to work very hard until you die, give me all your money, and you don't deserve to live happily because your bad fate took the lives of those around you.”
“You have to remember my kindness for giving you a reason to live!” Helen said with a sharp grin.
Anastasia remained silent and bowed her head, her breathing heavy and her chest tight. When the door finally closed, she collapsed onto the floor.
“Aaaaaaa."
Anastasia rubbed her chest vigorously, crying while pressing her lips together so her mother wouldn't hear her sobs.
Her pale face and sad hazel eyes made her look very miserable.
“Yes, I'm a freak! I'm worthless! I deserve to suffer!” The words came out of her trembling lips.
All those words had become Anastasya's doctrine ever since her father married Helen. When her father was at work and not at home, her stepmother had tortured and indoctrinated Ana since she was a child, putting Ana completely under her stepmother's manipulation.
With suffering and pain in her heart, Ana was silent for a moment, staring blankly and emptily, cursing herself for being a jinx.
Meanwhile, Helen laughed as she went to the living room to continue watching television.
“Stupid girl! Every time I bring up her parents, she gets traumatized and becomes so easy to manipulate! HAHAHA!”
“All my efforts over the past 16 years to manipulate her have paid off. Now she'll be my money-making machine! It wasn't in vain that I married her stupid father!”
Helen insulted Anastasya and used her as a money-making tool.
She was very cruel and she tortured Anastasya, pressuring her until she believed all the lies that came out of her mouth.
And yes, her accusation about the stolen money was false; Helen simply wanted to vent her frustration by slapping Ana and psychologically pressuring her even more by accusing her of theft.
This was Helen's way of completely subjugating Anastasya.
“Mom, can you give me some money? I want to go out with my friends.” When Helen had just arrived in the living room, her daughter, who was one year older than Ana, came and hugged her mother.
Vexia, a 21-year-old girl who was currently attending college, asked her mother for money.
At that moment, Helen took money from the envelope Ana had given her and handed it to Vexia.
“Here, have fun with your friends. Don't come home too late, dear.” Helen said to her daughter, who immediately took the money from her mother and left quickly.
“Okay, Mom, I won't come home too late.” Vexia called out as she ran off.
Helen's treatment of her biological daughter was very different from her treatment of Ana. Helen loved Vexia very much and would do anything for her.
When Vexia left her house, a car was waiting for her outside the fence. Vexia ran excitedly towards the car.
“Babee.” Vexia immediately got into the car and hugged the young man who had come to pick her up.
“Why did you ask me to pick you up? What if Ana sees this?” Damian Farlon, a 21-year-old young man, looked a little panicked and quickly drove the car away.
“Huh?!”
“So what if Ana sees? Besides, she doesn't want to satisfy you, I'm the one who has been satisfying you all this time, do you want to make me your mistress forever? When are you going to break up with Ana?”
Vexia became angry, she folded her arms and sat down with a gloomy expression.
Yes, Damian Farlon was Anastasya's boyfriend. They had been dating since Anastasya was in her second year of high school, but Anastasya was a very carefull woman. She absolutely refused to sleep with Damian before marriage.
Because of that, Vexia, who had always liked Damian, began to flirt with him every chance she got. Unable to resist the temptation, Damian ended up cheating and sleeping with his own girlfriend's step-sister.
“It's not time yet, honey, be patient a little longer, I will definitely end my relationship with Ana, I promise.” Damian's reply made Vexia's anger disappear instantly. She turned to Damian and looked at him seductively.
“Okay, babe, tonight I will satisfy you so well.” Vexia whispered with a mischievous smile.
From the beginning, she was the one who seduced Damian, and until the end, she was always enthusiastic about doing things in bed with Damian.
“Hmmm.” Damian smiled contentedly. He liked this about Vexia, something Anastasya couldn't give him.
The car sped toward the hotel, and when they arrived at the hotel room, Damian seemed eager to kiss Vexia, but before he could, Vexia pushed Damian away and smiled mischievously.
“Babe, you should take a shower first, don't rush.” Vexia's whisper made Damian chuckle. He didn't really want to obey, but he knew that if Vexia said this, it meant that this naughty woman had a surprise for him.
“Okay, Babe,” Damian replied in a whisper and rubbed Vexia's lips, showing that he was very impatient with what they were about to do in a few moments.
After making sure Damian had entered the hotel bathroom, Vexia quickly grabbed Damian's cell phone and carried out her plan.
“If you don't want to end your relationship with Anastasya, then I'll do it for you, hahaha, I'm curious to see Ana's reaction when she sees how much you want me, Damian,” Vexia said with a mocking laugh.
She typed a message to send to Anastasya's number.
“Baby, come to the Grand Wall Hotel, room 40a. I have a surprise for you. It's your 20th birthday in an hour, right? I want to celebrate your birthday on time, so come and go straight to the room, okay, Baby?”
Vexia sent the message using Damian's cell phone, then deleted it so Damian wouldn't find out later.
Then she put the phone down as if nothing had happened.
In Anastasya's room,
“Huh?” Anastasya, who was calming herself down from her emotional trauma, received a message from her boyfriend, Damian.
When she read the message, Ana saw that it was already 11 p.m.
“It's almost midnight, I have to sleep and wake up early tomorrow, so...” Anastasya initially wanted to refuse, but she paused and remembered how lately she hadn't had time to be with Damian.
Damian was one of the most important people in Anastasya's life. He was not only her lover but also the person she trusted the most.
Therefore, Anastasya immediately got up from the bed and put on light makeup. She took the most beautiful dress she owned and left the house.
Her stepmother wouldn't care about her if she had already handed over her salary, so Ana left without telling anyone.
At the same time,
Inside a luxurious black car, a handsome man sat with a sharp expression, his blue eyes flashing as he listened to the report from one of his trusted henchmen.
A super-rich man, he owned a holding company with branches sprouting up all over the country. No one really knew anything about his life because, besides being a highly successful businessman, he also led a mafia group that he had created himself to avenge his enemies.
Alexander De Graham calmly but lethally stared at the road ahead.
Whatever his henchmen was reporting must have put Alexander in a very bad mood.
At that moment, the car stopped at a crosswalk, and Alexander's eyes were fixed ahead.
And for some reason, time seemed to slow down for him. A young woman was crossing the street in front of him, wearing a long pastel pink dress with floral patterns, her wavy brown hair gently blowing in the wind.
Her face was incredibly beautiful, and her eyes were so stunning. Alexander had never felt anything like this before.
His body felt hot and something inside him was exploding.
THUMP ... THUMP ... THUMP
“Who is that girl?” He whispered softly but emphatically, his eyes fixed on Anastasya's footsteps, while his his trusted mafia henchmen sitting in the driver's seat also watched Anastasya.
With that question, he knew he had to investigate the girl for his Boss.
