You are mine
She was sleeping peacefully inside her bedroom, lost in one of those deep, comforting sleeps she loved. But suddenly, her rest was shattered when a loud bang echoed from outside her room. It wasn’t fireworks, nor a car crash, it was sharper, darker. A gunshot. The disturbing crack tore through her ears, sending shivers crawling down her spine.
“What’s going on?” she whispered to no one, her voice trembling.
Another gunshot roared, louder and more terrifying, followed by a scream that cut the silence like a knife.
“Fcksht!!” she gasped, bolting upright. Panic seized her body. She threw herself to the cold tiles, pressing her cheek against the floor, her entire body shaking violently.
Her eyes squeezed shut as tears spilled freely. She had never, ever felt fear grip her this tightly.
“Mom…” she breathed brokenly, her voice barely audible as fresh tears slipped from the corners of her eyes. “Mom!”
“Baby! Baby!” A soft but desperate voice came crawling through the darkness. It was her mother’s.
“Mummy!! Mummy!!” Lisa sobbed, reaching out with trembling arms as Rebecca crawled into the room.
“Shhh, baby, don’t cry!” her mother whispered, pulling her into a desperate embrace. Her hands shook as she stroked Lisa’s hair, trying to shield her from the chaos outside.
Gunshots still ripped through the night.
“It’s going to be fine, honey,” Rebecca murmured, though her own voice betrayed her fear. She tightened her arms around Lisa, wrapping her in fragile warmth.
Lisa clung to her mother like she was the last piece of earth left in a crumbling world. Since her father’s death, her mother had been her protector, her shield against everything cruel. And now, even with fear consuming her, Rebecca was whispering comfort, when she herself knew deep down… nothing was fine and nothing was going to be fine after today.
Her husband’s last words haunted her: Take Lisa far away once she turns nineteen but she never did. And Lisa was going to be twenty-one in a few days.
“Mummy, I love you,” Lisa whispered, clutching tighter. Rebecca’s chest ached as her daughter’s words cracked her heart open.
“I love you too, honey,” she choked, her tears finally breaking free. I swear, Lisa, I will protect you… even if it costs me my life.
But before the moment could last, the door burst open with a deafening crash. A man in black stormed in, face hidden by a mask.
“Mummy!!!” Lisa shrieked, terror flooding her veins. She pressed herself into Rebecca’s arms.
“Please! Don’t harm my daughter, please!” Rebecca pleaded, her voice breaking.
The masked man’s cold voice cut through the air. “Tell that to your husband when you meet him in hell.”
The gun went off. A single shot to the forehead.
“Mommy!!” Lisa’s scream ripped from her throat as blood splattered. Rebecca’s body fell limp, her warmth fading instantly.
Lisa froze, numb, her breath trapped in her chest. And then it hit. The crushing, unbearable truth. She screamed again, a sound drenched in agony.
“Mommy!!” She scrambled to her side, sobbing hysterically. “Mommy, please! Stay with me! Please, don’t leave me!” Her tiny hands clutched at Rebecca’s face, as her mother’s eyes slowly closed.
“I’m sorry…” Rebecca whispered weakly…her final words, before darkness took her.
“No! No!! No!!! No!!!! Mom, you promised! You promised to stay with me! You said you’d protect me!” Lisa’s cries shook the walls as the masked man grabbed her roughly.
Her world collapsed. Her mother, her last anchor, her only joy. She was gone.
“Please! Please, save my mommy! I’ll do anything!” Lisa begged, her voice hoarse with desperation.
“Fcksht, you talk too much!” The man’s voice was sharp and merciless. His hand struck her face, the slap exploding with pain across her cheek. She crashed to the floor.
Her tears blurred everything. “That voice…” she thought weakly, holding her stinging cheek. It sounds familiar.
“Any more words, and I’ll kill you,” the man growled. He yanked her hair, dragging her up.
“You’re hurting me!” Lisa whimpered, clawing at his hand. In her struggle, his mask slipped off.
Her world tilted. Her breath caught in her throat.
“Uncle… Damon?”
The face staring back was one she had trusted, her father’s own brother.
Her heart shattered. Betrayal laced with terror flooded her veins.
“So, you finally see me,” Damon sneered. His palm cracked against her cheek again.
“Uncle Damon… why?” she sobbed, clutching her burning skin. Pain tore through her chest, worse than the slap, worse than the bruises.
“Shut up, you foolish girl! If your mother had just given me the papers to the house, none of this would’ve happened!”
Lisa stared at him, horrified. “If we gave you the house, where would we live? What would you even gain by doing all of this?”
“I’d gain everything! Wealth, riches, money, power! Cars, houses, everything that should’ve been mine!” His eyes gleamed with greed.
“You’re a disgrace to this family. I curse the day I ever called you uncle. I hate you!” she spat through her tears.
Damon’s expression twisted with rage. He pressed a cloth to her nose. Lisa thrashed violently, muffled cries spilling from her lips. “Hm…mmm…mmm—” But slowly, her body weakened. Darkness swallowed her.
He hoisted her limp frame over his shoulder, tossing her into a car. His phone buzzed.
“Done, Alfred. I’ve got the girl. I’m bringing her now. You have the money?” Damon’s tone was eager.
“Six million dollars,” came the reply. Damon smirked, igniting the engine. The car sped into the night.
⸻—————————————————
“Mommy… stay with me… mommy…” Lisa whispered in her sleep. Sweat dampened her forehead.
Her eyes flickered open. She was in a strange, vast room, lying on a bed, her limbs bound.
“Where… am I?” she whispered, struggling to sit but then she realized she was tied to the bed. Pain thundered through her skull. Tears streamed as the memory crashed back.
“Mummy’s gone… Uncle Damon killed her…” she whimpered. Her heart bled raw grief.
The door creaked open. Cold air rushed in. Damon entered, and with him, another man, a stranger whose very presence made the room colder.
“Here she is, Alfred. Now do you believe me? Where’s my money?” Damon’s greedy voice rang.
Alfred tapped something on his phone. Damon’s eyes widened. “Six million dollars!” he shouted gleefully.
“You can leave now,” Alfred said finally, his voice like a blade, sharp, deadly, merciless.
Damon chuckled. “Of course. She’ll make a fine sex slave.”
The words punched Lisa’s soul. Her body went rigid. “Sex… slave?” she whispered in horror.
Her pulse thundered, breath ragged. No. No, this can’t be happening.
Tears poured. “God, please let this be a nightmare. Please…”
Damon’s smile faltered under Alfred’s glare. “Don’t take me seriously,” he muttered quickly. “Just… handle her carefully. She’s still my brother’s child.” With that, he left, ignoring Lisa’s desperate cries.
Uncle Damon! Please, don’t leave me! Help me!” she screamed. Her voice cracked, but he didn’t look back.
“I’ve lost it all,” she whispered.
Alfred’s footsteps approached. “Your uncle isn’t coming back. And no one will save you. You could scream until the end of time, and it won’t matter.”
He leaned closer, placing a hand on her thigh. Lisa stiffened, terror freezing her veins.
“Do you know why?” he sneered. “Because you’re mine now. My property. My sex slave. And your soul and body belongs to me now,” His voice thundered. He struck her across the face, and blood filled her mouth.
Her vision had suddenly blurred as his icy blue eyes burned into her with hatred. Then, at last, he turned and walked out, leaving her broken and bound.
Weak, dizzy, and bleeding, Lisa lay back. Darkness claimed her again.
