Chapter 5 Setting Things In Motion

Constantin

She was perfect. Being here next to her again, I wanted to take her in my arms and bury my nose in her neck. I wanted to lick her skin and taste her blood. I felt my mouth water at the idea of tasting her, and not just her blood. I wanted to taste every single inch of her and hear what she sounded like in the throes of ecstasy. I would. I would just have to wait a bit beforehand. Not long, though; my vampire would not allow me to wait very long before claiming our blood mate.

I watched Vasile and saw the way he looked at and watched her and knew it was very much the way that I probably watched her. We’d have to be careful until we secured her with us. I’d need to contact Mihai and see what he had managed to find on her, and just how hard it would be to basically erase her very existence.

I turned to my brother and leaned in and whispered, “I’m going to go and speak with Mihai and see what he’s discovered. You keep an eye on things here. Ioan and Nicolea should be back any time now, so you can introduce them if I’m not back yet.” He nodded and went back to watching her.

I had gone into the bedroom and closed the door behind me to call him. “Constantin, I was hoping you would call. I have quite a bit of information for you. I was able to find out that she was raised by her mother and stepfather. Her stepfather is deceased. Her mother is living, and she has two siblings who are seven years old. She has been a nanny for six years since she was eighteen, and for Philip for the last five years, and has no outstanding friendships. She does spend time with her family occasionally, but she obviously hasn't been living at home in any capacity. Her mother was ill for a bit, but is now in remission.” I nodded.

“How easy will it be to basically erase her existence? She won’t be able to access her driver's license or Social Security card here in the States. Eventually she’ll have new identification once we get home and she is secure and no longer a flight risk. We also need to make sure the family connection is severed.” I heard him shuffle papers.

“She has a new lease on an apartment, but she only got it a few days ago. We can break the lease, and then Ioan can work his magic with the landlord. He can handle the office staff at the nanny agency. The only other items would be if we were making sure her family no longer remembers her. So, that might be a bit more complicated depending on how many pictures and all of that are present, so that would be the largest time allotment, I would think. I can erase all known records of her everywhere once we do all that.”

“That is good. I need you to get that started immediately, and let's see how fast we can get that done. We might have to remove her before you are completely done, but you don’t need her physically present for you to do what you need to do electronically. We can go ahead and take Ioan in with the landlord and her employer, as well as her family. I'll have Nicolae go with him and help get everything taken care of with her family that could lead back to any knowledge of her. So, take care of her employee records with the agency first. We need to get her cut off from them, even knowing that she’s gone or never existed to begin with.”

“Okay, I can work on that tonight, and I’ll let you know how far I get by tomorrow morning.”

“Good, then we’ll plan for everything to be a go, and we’re ready to put it all in motion and bring our blood mate home with us. Good job, and I’ll speak to you in the morning."

“Okay, goodbye, Constantin.” I hung up after that and thought about the next step.

We could go ahead and secure her and fly home with her. It would take us a day to get home, and then it would take us half a day to actually get to the castle. So, she might need to remain asleep for that time. Crina would want to be with her, but we might be able to handle that. I’m not sure how hard it would be to have Crina and her on the same plane. We could always fly them back home separately. I will have to think about this and then discuss it with my brothers.

When I get back to the living room area, Nissiah is still completely absorbed with Crina, and they are drawing pictures. Vasile is focused on her, and I can see his vampire side very close to the surface, although his eyes are not glowing. As I approach, he looks at me and then seems to pull himself back more. I understand completely, though. Being around our blood mate is hard. All our natures tell us to take her, share blood with her, breed her, and make her fully ours. The pull is extremely hard to resist.

I caught her watching us several times. I can understand as a single woman being on guard against single unknown males. So, I pretend that either I don’t notice or that I am fine with it, and I am fine with it. I hear the elevator ding, and Nissiah is immediately focused, but she just watches Ioan and Nicolae come in.

“Guys, this is the potential nanny, Nissiah Ardelean. Nissiah, this is my brother Ioan and Nicolae.” She smiles a bit and nods at both of them, and then Crina demands her attention again.

I helped the guys set up the lunch they picked up in the dining room. Once that’s done, I go and get Nissiah and Crina, and bring them to the table. Nissiah helps to secure Crina in her booster chair and then sits beside her to take care of her during her lunch, as if it’s the most natural thing in the whole world. I smile watching her, knowing she will make an excellent mother. Not just for Crina but any children we have with her as well.

Just about the time that lunch is wrapping up, I signal Vasile to come to the kitchen with me as I clean up some of the trash. He follows, also using the excuse of cleaning up to follow me.

Once I explained to him what Mihai had told me and what he was currently doing. We talked about sending Ioan to the agency either now or in the morning, and the timeline with her family. He immediately contacted the pilot to get the plane ready. I called our housekeeper, who is still here in another suite, about taking Crina back and us following. So we are getting things in motion.
