Chapter 7 Taking Her Home

Constantin

All day, we are putting things into motion. We have the management team now in place with Philip Mercer’s old business. We are evaluating which employees and which areas to keep and which ones to cut. Then we’ll go from there. We have the chartered plane coming this afternoon to get Mrs. Codrin, our head of security Andrei, and Crina, and head back home. Our personal plane is getting ready for the rest of us to go home with Nissiah.

We have also been working with Mihai to get all of the electronic traces of her erased. This afternoon, Ioan and Nicolae will go to the nanny agency, her apartment, and her family and take care of things. We have a company coming to pick up all of her things and have them donated when Ioan and Nicolae call them. So far, Mihai has gotten all of the electronic data for Nissiah erased from the nanny agency, and we have been watching to see if anyone will catch it before Ioan can get there. So far so good.

Once all of her current records are deleted, then he’ll work on all other electronic records of her existence. These are government and medical files, though, so it will take longer to get those taken care of. She will not be where she can do anything about any of it, so he has the time he needs to get it all done. Once he’s finished, we’ll inform her of what has happened.

The next records that she will have will show her as married to us and with our clan’s last name. Of course, the marriage isn’t in the legal human courts or anything; if we need to fabricate something for that, Mihai will do that easily. Once we have things going and in place, I go and find Nissiah. I am carrying a bottle of spiked water so when she drinks it she’ll fall asleep. We’ll keep her that way until we are well on the way home.

I poke my head into the living room. “Hey there, is she still asleep?” She smiles up at me, and my heart almost beats out of my chest. I feel my vampire surge, and I have to pull hard to keep that part of me back.

I move forward with an open bottle of water in my hand and the closed one for her in the other. She sees me take a drink from my water bottle, and then I smile and offer her the other. She nods and takes it from me, opening it and taking a large drink.

“She should be awake soon if you need her for anything.” I nod again.

“Mrs. Codrin just needs to ask her some questions about things for her room to make sure we get them ordered in time and get them moved into the house.” She smiles again and nods, once more taking a large sip of the water. I watch until I’ve seen her drink at least half, and then I excuse myself to go back to my brothers in the office that this penthouse suite provides.

Vasile looks up at me. “She taken care of?” I nod.

“She’s downed half already, so it should start to kick in fairly soon. Crina is still asleep but should wake up really soon, so we need to keep an eye out and get her to Mrs. Codrin. If she’s still asleep when Nissiah passes out, we’ll move Nissiah to the bedroom.” They all nod.

When I go back into the living room area in about 15 minutes, she’s asleep with her phone on the ground in front of the couch. I pick her up and take her to the room. Holding her in my arms like this makes it nearly impossible not to kiss her or bite her. Her blood to her mate will be the most amazing ambrosia there is. Ours will be that way to her as well. I take her shoes off after I lay her out on the bed. I then go and retrieve her cell phone, and we destroy it and dispose of it.

I hear Crina call, and I go and get her. She asks for Nissiah, “She was really tired, sweetheart, so we are letting her take a nap. You will be going home with Mrs. Codrin and Andrei, and Nissah will be there shortly to live with all of us and take care of you.” She smiled and nodded.

I picked her up and took her to Mrs. Codrin, who was getting things ready to leave. Soon after, they left to go to the chartered private plane. They will be home tomorrow with the refueling stops needed. The larger plane we will be on takes much fewer stops and is faster, so we might almost arrive at the same time, depending on when we get out of here.

Once all of that is taken care of, Ioan and Nicolae leave to go and take care of everyone and everything necessary to make everyone forget she ever existed. We found out when her siblings get home, so we wanted to make sure they were there before Ioan visited and erased all of their memories. Vasile and I work on getting paperwork and everything finished up, and getting packed and ready for when they get back.

We have the suitcases ready and all of the checkout completed and ready for us just to leave when they get back. When they walk into the suite, I look up, “Any problems?”

Ioan shakes his head, “It was actually ridiculously easy at the apartment. She had actually already started packing things up. So, by the time we had the guys there to pack the rest up and then get it loaded on the truck for donation, it didn’t take much time at all. Her landlord has never even heard of her, and all of her files with them have been destroyed. Her job is taken care of, and I had them give me all of her files, and we took care of those as well. So, as far as the agency goes, they have also never even heard of her. Her family took longer. We found mostly newer pictures, even in drawers and boxes, but we took care of anything we found, and now they have absolutely no memory of her whatsoever.” I nod.

“Now, we just have to get Mihai on the government records, and she will never even have existed.” They all nod.

We gather her up, grab our bags, and get on the elevator. This elevator goes all the way down to a private parking area in the parking garage. We have a limo waiting to take us to the private airstrip where our plane is being readied for takeoff. Soon we will have our mate bound to us and on the way home, where she will stay with us forever, and we will start our family. I can hardly wait.
