I heard the TV turn itself on and Violet had turned on Netflix. I sighed and closed my eyes again, ignoring the sounds of the TV and starting to drift back into dreamland. I barely heard the door open again and figured that Violet and Jake left but was proven wrong when the bed bounced, and Nick pulled the cover down. “Good morning!” He chirped. I just looked at him with one eye open. “Good morning Nick. We just need some more sleep, okay buddy? I rubbed my eyes and looked over at Jake and Violet, they were both asleep on the couch while Nick and Penny were watching the live action Aladdin. Samantha glanced over and smiled at me. “Good afternoon sleepyhead.” Checking the clock, I was surprised to see it was after 1 in the afternoon. “I thought I set the alarm...” I started as I snaked my arm around her and pulled her even closer. “You did. I turned it off, you need the rest.” She smiled. “They do too.” She frowned. “I’m sorry, it's all my fault.” I smiled at kissed her head. “No, it's not. You didn’t mean to pass out, and it was totally understandable for you to wake up and not understand what was going on. Especially if you were coming off of that memory.” I sighed. “I really hate that happened to you. I wish I could have protected you back then.” She shrugged. “That would have been impossible, for one thing we didn’t even know each other.” I opened my mouth to protest when Nick noticed we were awake. Him and Penny got up and they both crawled on the bed with us. “Are you feeling better now?” Nick asked, bright-eyed. Samantha smiled. “Yes, we do. Thanks for letting us sleep.” She chuckled as both of the pups crawled in the bed with us. “It's a good thing my bed is so big otherwise there would be no space for me.” She giggled. “It's cold in here alpha.” Penny pouted. “Nick made us open the window.” “Hey I like to feel the outside.” Nick said. I sighed. “Has everyone eaten yet?” Both of them shook their heads no. “They were tired too we didn’t want to bother them.” Nick said. Grabbing the phone I smiled, how considerate of them. I dialed the kitchen quietly and ordered enough food for all 6 of us. “So, what is on the agenda today?” Samantha asked. “I’m sure I’ll have to sign off on new hospital equipment...” She groaned and covered her head again. The two pups giggled and did the same. I shrugged...when in Rome they say and under the covers I went too. “How about we just hide in here for a little while?” I chuckled. “Then after lunch we go and apologize to Doc?” Samantha nodded. “Maybe if I get him a new MRI machine, he won’t kill me on site.” I frowned, I knew she was in no danger, but that comment didn’t sit well with me. Was I still feeling overly protective? Samantha looked at me and smiled as she grabbed my hand. She winked as we heard a knock on the door. “Food’s here, someone open the door and someone else wake the lovebirds.” She whispered to the pups, and they cheered. Nick opened the door while Penny jumped on the couch and startled my brother and Violet. Violet put on her glasses and stretched. “What time is it?” She asked. “It's lunchtime.” I said as I got out of the bed and went to the closet as the omegas brought the food in and put it on the coffee table. I smiled, I could feel her embarrassment through our bond. I smirk grabbing a random pair and shoving it under the covers. She giggled in her mind. I blushed, I mean I do want her to wear it, but not here...not NOW. Not with my brother here! I growled and went back to her drawers. This time I actually looked for long pants and long sleeve shirt. She laughed out loud now, earning us curious stares from the others in the room. “Don’t ask.” I say, still blushing. Walking over I grab a soda and crack it open, sitting down and waiting for my mate to join us. “So, what’s for lunch?” Jake asked as they started unpacking the food. “I dunno, I just told them to bring whatever they had on hand. I’m not picky.” I shrugged. My mate sat beside me and helped Nick and Penny open their cans. She started laughing as everyone started opening their trays and I growled slightly. Chicken nuggets and fries. ~~~~~~~~~~ After lunch Samantha went to take a shower as I started to clean up the room, I know the omegas usually take care of cleaning in here, but I didn’t mind; I pulled the sheets off the bed and threw them down the laundry chute. I heard her growl in my mind. <12 minutes.> I corrected her. I sighed, after last night I couldn’t help but worry. And having her out of my sight is unbearable. I did not mean for that to go out. I was worried, I didn’t want to hurt anyone. I sighed, feeling guilty. She started laughing. She giggled. I looked up as she came out of the bathroom. “My hair is a rat’s nest.” She sighed. “But at least there are no more leaves in it.” Violet took a deep breath. “Alpha, can I ask a favor?” Samantha looked at her. “What?” “Can I borrow your car today?” “No. Why?” Violet sighed. “Well, I needed to go into town, and I still haven’t replaced my bike.” “Why don’t I drive you? I have errands to run also.” I smiled. “I still owe you a date, remember?”
