Introduction
While shopping for my wedding dress, I simply swallowed a pill on schedule. My mother responded with a slap that made me spit blood. My father stormed in and kicked my ribs in without asking a single question.
I fled crying to my brother, only for him to grab me in disgust: "You are a disgrace to this family."
I called my fiancé. He rushed to the scene, took one look at the pill, and called the cops without hesitation: "The engagement is off. She makes me sick."
In just a few hours, I went from a bride-to-be to a death row inmate.
But as the gavel fell, I saw our family maid calmly swallow the exact same pill from the gallery…
I lunged at the railing, screaming at the judge. He leaned down, a chilling smile spreading across his face: "Linnea, this is all because…"
Chapter 1
Linnea's POV
The car crash six months ago destroyed my body. I survive the agony only through the painkillers prescribed by my brother, Fletcher.
He leaned down, a chilling smile spreading across his face: "Linnea, this is all because…"
That familiar burning sensation flared from my fractured ribs up my spine as I stood before the dressing room mirror.
"Put on this V-neck French silk gown, you will absolutely be the most beautiful bride. Hollis will love it," my mother, Cordelia, cooed softly from behind the curtain.
I gritted my teeth, cold sweat beading on my forehead. Trembling, I fished the light brown leather pillbox from my purse, shook out a white oval pill, and swallowed it dry.
"Linn, come out and let me—what are you doing?!"
The curtain was yanked open. Cordelia stared at the pillbox in my hand, her blue-gray eyes instantly widening in horror.
"It’s just time for my medication, Mom…"
A brutal slap struck my left cheek.
I lost my balance and slammed into the fitting mirror. My ears rang, and a metallic taste of rust flooded my mouth.
"You shameless, cheap little bitch!" Cordelia shrieked. "Popping pills while picking out your engagement dress?! You have no more shame than a street whore!"
"What’s going on? Cordelia, lower your voice, there are other people in the store."
My father, Garrison, shoved past the clerks and strode into the dressing room.
"Dad, I just took the painkiller Fletcher prescribed for me…" I cried, clutching my swollen cheek, tears welling in my eyes.
Garrison sighed, his tone as tolerant as always. "Cordelia, stop it. Linn is hurt. Taking one prescription painkiller is no big deal."
My tense nerves relaxed for a single second—
Before Cordelia pointed like a madwoman at the pillbox on the floor. "Are you blind?! Look at what that is!"
Garrison saw the box, lunged at me, grabbed me by the hair, and yanked me viciously to the floor.
"Where did you get this?!"
I screamed in agony, my newly healed cervical spine feeling as if it would snap. "It hurts! Let me go! These are the pills Fletcher gave me!"
"Liar! You lying bitch!"
Garrison raised his foot and kicked me mercilessly in the stomach.
I curled up on the floor, completely bewildered.
"We gave you everything! Held you in the palm of our hands! And this is how you repay us?!" Cordelia pounced, driving her high heel into the back of my hand. "Do you want to destroy the Caldecott family?! You reckless idiot, you’re going to get us all killed!"
"I didn't... I don't know what you're talking about..." I sobbed in despair, trying to protect my head.
Punches and kicks rained down on me.
The hands that once gently tucked me in and brought me hot soup were now viciously tearing me apart. The agonizing pain and the absolute shattering of my reality stopped my breathing. They were actually trying to kill me—over a generic painkiller I had been taking for six months.
I don't know how long it lasted before the beating finally stopped.
Panting, Garrison straightened his tie, snatched my pillbox, and shoved it into his pocket.
"I’m calling the security team to pull the car into the back alley," he said coldly. He turned, walked out, and locked the door behind him.
I lay on the cold floor like a dying dog.
Muffled but frantic voices drifted through the door.
"…We can't let her go on like this, Garrison, she’ll ruin…" My mother was crying, but there was no heartbreak in her voice—only bone-chilling fear.
"There’s no turning back. We have to do this cleanly…" my father replied, his voice like ice.
Why?! It was just a normal painkiller from Fletcher! What the hell was wrong with that pill?!
While they were distracted on the phone, I fought through the agony that threatened to make me pass out and crawled toward the emergency exit at the back of the dressing room. Pushing open the heavy fire door, I stumbled and scrambled into the alley.
Barefoot, wearing a torn, blood-stained silk dress. Every breath felt like inhaling razor blades, but I didn't dare stop.
There was only one place to go: Halverston-Brae Medical Center.
When I dragged my half-dead body through the door of the Pain Management Director’s office, Fletcher was sitting at his desk, reviewing files.
He looked up. His amber eyes violently contracted the second he saw me.
Pale, soaked in cold sweat, blood at the corner of my mouth, I stared at him with bloodshot eyes.
"Linn?!" Fletcher sprang up and rushed over, his voice thick with shock and heartache. "Good God… What happened to you? Who did this?!"

“I thought you said you were done chasing me?” Gen mocked.
“I am done chasing you.”
Before she could formulate a witty remark, Matteo threw her down. She landed hard on her back atop his dining room table. She tried to sit up when she noticed what he was doing. His hands were working on his belt. It came free of his pants with a violent yank. She collapsed back on her elbows, her mouth gaping open at the display. His face was a mask of sheer determination, his eyes were a dark gold swimming with heat and desire. His hands wrapped around her thighs and pulled her to the edge of the table. He glided his fingers up her thighs and hooked several around the inside of her panties. His knuckles brushed her dripping sex.
“You’re soaking wet, Genevieve. Tell me, was it me that made you this way or him?” his voice told her to be careful with her answer. His knuckles slid down through her folds and she threw her head back as she moaned. “Weakness?”
“You…” she breathed.

Letters to a Dark Prince
Thrown into Isteros Academy—a world of old money, blood money, and cruel social games—she's an outsider by birth and an afterthought by design. Her sister Solyn is the school's untouchable queen and Mara is her favorite target.
Everyone expects Atreus to treat his fiancée’s scholarship sister like everyone else does—as if she doesn’t matter.
Instead, his dorm room sits directly across from hers, close enough that she can see his light go out at night. Some nights, he climbs the old maintenance trellis just to check on her. He teaches her chess. He shows up exactly when something's gone wrong—and never once asks to be thanked for it.
"Don't fall in love with one piece," he warns her, over a board neither of them treats like a game anymore. "It punishes the person who only sees half of it."
Mara doesn't understand why the boy who's supposed to make her life harder keeps quietly making it easier—not until she realizes the anonymous stranger she's been writing to every week already has a name.
His.
He doesn't know he's writing to her, either.
By the time they find out, it's too late to stop what's already happening. Far too dangerous for anyone to find out.
In an empty studio, in the middle of a rainstorm, she asks him: 'Am I the kind of girl who kisses a boy engaged to my sister?'
He doesn't answer.
So she asks: 'What are we?’
He told her not to fall in love with one piece.
She fell anyway.
And he was never far behind.
MOONLIT CHASE
But no, I had to walk through the park at midnight like an idiot. Now I've seen something I can't unsee—a massive black wolf tearing apart three men, then shifting into the hottest guy I've ever laid eyes on.
Kieran Vaughn. Wealthy lawyer, werewolf, and apparently, he thinks I'm his mate.
Here's the problem: I don't do relationships. I definitely don't do supernatural things. I absolutely don't do rich guys who think they can control my life just because their inner wolf has decided I smell like home.
When hunters start targeting me to get to him, Kieran drags me into his pristine penthouse for "protection." Now I'm living with a man who looks at me like I'm his last meal, whose touch sets my skin on fire, and who's barely holding onto his control.
He says everyone he loves dies. I say that's not my problem except it is because I'm falling for this broken, dangerous man and his beast.
And in his world? Love will get you killed.

Love's Deadly Equation
I was sent to her.
To watch her. To protect her. And, when the order comes… to kill her.
My name is Keegan Caffery. I’m the Carter Mafia’s best hitman. I don’t miss. I don’t fail.
At least, I didn’t use to.
I don’t know what it is about her that got to me first—her mouth, her mind, or the way she looks at me like I’m not what she should fear.
I’ve had a gun to her head since I walked into her life.
She knows it.
And she still doesn’t run.
She just watches me back like she’s studying a problem she refuses to call impossible.
She’s the one variable I can’t control.
And God help me… I don’t want to.
I have an order. I have loyalty. I have a trigger.
But every time I imagine it—
I can’t stand it.
Her or me. That’s the math.
It’s a deadly equation I don’t want to solve.
⬥ Maisie ⬥
I’m not ordinary. I stopped pretending long ago.
My name is Maisie Seo. IQ 145. Clinical genius.
Which sounds impressive until you realize what it actually means: I don’t fit anywhere people expect me to.
I see patterns everywhere. Outcomes before they happen. People like equations I’ve already solved.
It gets lonely in a world you’ve already figured out.
So I dull myself down. Smoke the edges off. Pretend, badly, to be the kind of normal that lets people stay.
Then he walked in.
I knew what he was immediately. Dangerous. Intentional. Wrong in all the right ways.
I should be afraid of him.
I keep waiting for that to kick in.
Instead, I’m fascinated.
Because for the first time in my life… I’ve found something I can’t solve.
He is my deadly equation.
