Chapter 37

Matteo leads Kadeem into one of the empty massage rooms in the back of the gym. Kadeem enters the room and lays down flat on the empty bed usually used for massages. Mateo stands behind the bed. He begins to rub small circles on each of Kadeem’s temples.

“Close your eyes,” Mateo says soothingly. “Clear your mind of all thoughts until your mind

is blank.”

Kadeem shut his eyes. He concentrates on clearing his mind of Ardal. He blocks out any visions of her soft, brown hair gently caressing his cheek, his firm cock against the feminine curves of his body, and her gasps of shock when he opens his mouth to kiss her. Kadeem pushes those thoughts aside until he sees only blackness when his eyes are shut.

“Tell me about your dreams,” Mateo commands as he sends his energy into Kadeem’s thoughts, guiding him to tell the origin of his dreams.

“There was water,” Kadeem muttered as if he was under a spell.

“Tell me more,” Mateo encouraged.

“There was a car. I drove my car into the sea. There was a woman. My mate,” Kadeem whispers.

Mateo stops rubbing circles on Kadeem’s eyes and takes a step back from the bed.

“Tell me about this woman,” Mateo says cautiously.

Kadeem sits up in the bed. “The woman has long, brown hair. She has a fit, sexy body,” Kadeem begins.

Mateo walks from behind the bed and pulls out his phone from his pocket. He scrolls through his phone until he stops at a woman’s picture. He holds his phone up for Kadeem to see. “Is this the woman in you’re your dreams?” He asks.

Kadeem’s heart stops for a second, and his breath comes out in a loud “whoosh.”

“That’s her,” he whispers. “The woman of my dreams and my fantasies.” Kadeem clears his throat. “She’s also my fitness instructor,” he finishes.

Mateo nods his head. “I see,” he says slowly.

Kadeem’s mind drifts back to his fantasies. He imagined running his fingers through his hair, wrapping his arms around her in a tight embrace, and kissing her. At first, a soft kiss on the lips and then a greater sense of urgency as his mouth enveloped hers and his tongue worked its way into her mouth.

Kadeem turns to Mateo. “Somehow, I know her. She is mine.”

Mateo slips his phone into his pocket. “Lay back down,” he commands Kadeem.

Kadeem lays down on the bed and shuts his eyes.

“I see something,” Kadeem mumbles. “Something is happening.”

Mateo stands at the head of the bed and closes his eyes. He sends Kadeem energy waves that open Kadeem’s mind and organize his memories for him.

“I was married, wasn’t I?” asks Kadeem.

Mateo says nothing, but continues to concentrate on sending Kadeem energy waves.

“I was married,” Kadeem growls with a greater sense of urgency. Kadeem sits up and jumps off his bed. He walks to the head of the bed. Kadeem grabs Mateo by the shirt collar.

“I want to see pictures of my wedding.” Kadeem yelled while shaking Mateo by the collar.

Mateo jerks himself free, but he dares not touch Kadeem. Kadeem is an alpha. He is never to be controlled.

“You will take me to my mother’s,” Kadeem orders.

Mateo has no choice but to nod in agreement. The two walk out of the room into, the parking lot, and climb into Kadeem’s red Ferrari.

“I will drive,” Kadeem says through gritted teeth. Kadeem puts the car in reverse and makes a sharp turn to the road to his left. Shortly, Kadeem reaches his mother’s house. He pulls into his mother’s driveway and brakes the car with a loud “screech.” Kadeem gets out of the car and slams the door so hard the car shakes. Mateo exits the car quietly and follows Kadeem to the house. Kadeem’s inner wolf rages inside him, threatening to unleash itself on anyone who crosses his path.

Kadeem enters the house and yells, “Mother!”

Kadeem’s mother, Bree, rushes to the front door where Kadeem and Mateo are standing.

“I need to see my wedding photos now!” he screams.

Bree and Mateo look at one another. Kadeem notices this and screams with even more urgency, “Now!”

Bree runs and grabs a box of photos. When she returns, she thrusts the box of photos into Kadeem’s hands.

Kadeem immediately sat down on the floor and opens the box. He lifts the first photo from the pile and stares at it. A beautiful woman in a white dress is in the photo. Her long brown hair is pulled up into a sleek bun, and she is holding flowers. Her dress hugs her figure. Her neckline stops just below her breasts showing the perfect the perfect amount of cleavage.

Kadeem sets that picture down and picks up another photo. In this one, he sees himself wearing a tux while standing next to the same woman and a cake. Kadeem and the woman were smiling and had their arms around one another.

Kadeem felt his inner wolf rising from his body, ready to pounce on what he believes is his mate. Kadeem takes deep breaths to keep his inner wolf from unleashing. He imagines he and his mate on their wedding night, rolling around in the sheets, caressing each other, hungry for each other, desiring, and finally satisfying their needs. He imagines her hair softly covering her breasts while she reached her hand down to grab his thick, bulging cock ready to enter her.

He knew now the woman is his mate.

Kadeem shuts the box of pictures and stands up. “This woman is not dead. She is my fitness instructor.”

Matteo and Bree stare at the ground to avoid looking at Kadeem.

“What is wrong with both of you!” Kadeem scream. Kadeem walks through the front door and slams it. He gets in his car and drives away. Kadeem trusts his feelings. He knows deep in his heart that the woman in the wedding photos is his fitness instructor. His fitness instructor is his mate. His mate that makes his inner wolf rise.
