Chapter 8

Because Amanda, the Alpha daughter of the Alpha in White Moon Pack, was scheduled to arrive this next evening, all of the maids had a lot of work to do in preparation.

"What exactly are you up to, Gab? Will you kindly assist us in getting ready?" As Eury was coming closer to me, she questioned me.

I turned my attention to Eury. I have absolutely no interest in assisting them in getting ready. How could I possibly put in the effort if the person I was preparing for was someone who may sabotage my intentions to become Prince Javier's Luna?

She felt my forehead, "Aren't you feeling better yet?" She inquired.

I responded to her by inclining my head and telling her, "I'm good, Eury; don't worry about me anymore."

"In that case, you really ought to provide us a hand in getting ready for the visit of Prince Javier Luna. If they discover that we did nothing, I do not doubt that we will be reprimanded for it," Eury told me about it.

"What are you doing at the moment? You are aware that an important person will be arriving, and you have even been able to converse with each!" A shout came from behind me, and we heard it.

"Exactly what I'm talking about!" Eury spoke in a whisper.

When I turned around, I found Prince Javier glaring at me in a disapproving manner.

"You!" He pointed his index finger at me, "Follow me!" He ordered.

Before going up to Prince Javier, I took one last look at Eury and murmured my farewells.

As soon as Prince Javier got up and started walking, I went with him. I was observing the back of his body. I really wanted to talk to him and ask him some questions, but I just don't have the guts to approach him and strike up a discussion.

"Prince Javier," I called him.

He did not give a response or even turn to face me. I worked up the nerve to confront him and ask him what I was thinking.

"I am your Luna, so explain to me why the daughter of the White Moon Pack is here," I asked him.

He responded to me quickly as he walk, "You are not my Luna," he corrected me.

"Prince Javier, you informed me that you considered me to be your Luna or your Mate. You don't mean to imply that you lied to me, did you?"

Prince Javier came to a halt and turned his attention to me, "What I had suspected was definitely true. Since you do not have a wolf, you didn't feel that I am your mate, which means, I do not consider you to be your mate!" he filled me in on it.

"That's one of the main reasons I don't consider you to be either my Mate or my Luna. You are feeble, and there is nothing you can do to help me as my Luna!" he added.

"Prince Javier, I am not wolfless. At the age of eighteen, my wolf made her appearance!"

He exhaled deeply and cocked his head to the side, "Don't try to trick me. Why on earth would your wolf leave you in such a situation?" he giggled, "Just tell me the truth that you are the lowest form of a werewolf on earth!" he said once he had finished laughing.

I bent my head down, "I am certain that my wolf will come back to me! Perhaps after we have our wedding?"

"Are you kidding me? You will not be getting married to me!" It wasn't long before he told me.

It was painful for me to hear what he had to say. When he reminds me of how worthless I am, it feels like someone is stabbing me in the chest, despite the fact that I do not have the impression that he is my Mate.

"I want a powerful Luna like Amanda! A Luna that enhances my strength and majesty! Because of this, my success will increase! " he added.

"When Amanda and I are married, our Pack will unite, and when that happens, I will be stronger, and I will be able to extend our territory even more!"

"So don't even expect me to consider you as my Mate or Luna because that will never happen, do you understand?"

The things that he shared with me rendered me speechless. What options do I have? Everything that he mentioned was correct, but as soon as my wolf returns and we are married, I'll be able to do everything that he wants to take place as well!

I spoke to him calmly and said, "Prince Javier, I will do everything in my power to grant your wishes."

"You can't do anything, so stop fooling yourself; the only thing you're capable of is serving people who are more powerful than you, and serving us as if a lowly maid!"

Despite the fact that Prince Javier's words made me feel even more defeated than I already was, I was not going to give up.

"So for the time being, the only thing you can do is tidy up the room that my future Luna will be sleeping in next to mine. If you are unable to carry out my instructions, you will be banished from the palace." He issued the order to me in a frightening tone of voice.

As soon as Prince Javier entered his chamber, I found myself standing there by myself.

What can I say or do to win his approval of me?

I'm confused as to why my wolf hasn't shown up yet.

I took a quick look in the room that was located next to Prince Javier's room. I let out a sigh and then closed my eyes as I made my way toward the entrance. As soon as I walked into the room, I immediately widened my eyes in response to what I saw.

Why were the things scattered here?

Why was everything all over the place, and why they're a lot of mud on the floor?

What I know was every room in this palace is cleaned daily, so what exactly took place here?

I couldn't help but scratch my head in disbelief and asked, "Have Prince Javier intentionally taken care of this for me?"

I let out a sigh and cocked my head to the side. I have no choice but to scrub every inch of this room, and if I don't, Prince Javier will certainly be forced to expel me from the palace.

I have no idea how many hours I spent cleaning up in this room, which was designated to be the guest's quarters. After confirming that there was not a single cloud of dust visible inside, I stood up in my bed and checked the rest of the room. Due to the fact that I have not yet consumed my lunch, I am already experiencing feelings of exhaustion and hunger.

Before leaving the room, I only needed to catch up on some food. As I exited the room, I could see Prince Javier making his way through the hallway. When he saw me, he came to a stop and then called me.

I sighed before I approached him.

"Find my pet. I believe that he spent time playing in the forest," It was an order from him.

"Pet? Do you take care of any animals?" I can't believe I even bothered to ask him.

"I can confirm this. This is a photograph of him, " he responded by giving me a picture.

I had a look at it. When I spotted a bulldog, my eyes opened in surprise.

"Prince Javier, are you kidding me with this proposition?"

"Do I appear like I'm fooling here?"

"Take a look at him, and then put him back in his cage as quickly as you can. Since the maids who were watching him were busy with other things, they failed to notice when he left," he instructed me before he entered his room.

What have I done wrong for these terrible things to happen to me? Because I denied Prince Javier's rejection at the time, I am aware that this is simply one of the things he told me back then.

I sighed.

"I won't give up no matter what!" I said to myself.

I will not give up until Prince Javier acknowledges me as his Luna, whatever the plans that Prince Javier has for me. Even if he insists that he has already made his decision and chooses someone else!
