Chapter 5 | Damian's anger

"Damn it! Why did XMY suddenly cancel our partnership?" Damian shouted, his face full of emotion.

"We have to find out, honey. They wouldn't cancel without a reason. You know yourself, three days ago we managed to get Master King to like us," said Eliza.

Damian clenched his fists. He really couldn't accept the decision made by the leader of XMY.

"Let's just go to the XMY company and ask them for an explanation. They may be powerful, but they can't just belittle us by terminating our cooperation without a clear reason," said Eliza.

"You're right, honey, let's go there right away. Let's not waste any more time," replied Damian.

Damian and Eliza decided to go to the XMY office.

After arriving there, Damian tried to control his emotions. He was about to get out of the car, but Eliza quickly stopped him.

"Wait, honey, isn't that Dexson? Why is he here?" asked Eliza.

"Damn! Could it be Dexson who made XMY decide to cancel the partnership with me?" Damian growled as he gripped the steering wheel tightly.

"But we already made a plan so that Master King wouldn't be interested in Dexson, why did it turn out like this?" Eliza said angrily.

"He must have found another way to continue working with Master King," Damian grumbled.

"And he thinks I'll lose," he continued.

"So what's our plan, honey? Don't let Dexson win and get ahead of us," said Eliza.

"Let's get out first and ask Master King nicely," replied Damian.

"Okay." The two of them then got out of the car.

Damian and Eliza then went to Master King's room, and sure enough, Dexson was already there.

Master King's personal secretary had already allowed Damian and Eliza to enter, with Master King's permission.

"Master King, sorry to bother you," Damian said politely.

"Why did you come to my company? Didn't we decide not to collaborate?" replied Master King.

"My personal secretary and I came here specifically to ask why you canceled the cooperation contract with my company without a clear reason. Is there someone who wants to bring me down and make you misunderstand me?" explained Damian.

"Of course I canceled the cooperation with you for certain reasons, and I believe your company is indeed not worthy of cooperating with mine," Master King said casually.

"So I prefer to cooperate with Mr. Dexson's company," he continued, which made Damian emotional.

Eliza gently rubbed Damian's back so that Damian wouldn't get emotional in front of Master King.

"Damn! It turns out Dexson really wants to play games with me," Damian gritted his teeth silently.

"You don't need to be angry with Mr. Dexson, because the reason I canceled the contract with you is not because of Mr. Dexson. I just don't like traitors," replied Master King.

"What do you mean, Master King?" Damian asked with a puzzled look on his face.

"So, do I need to explain it to you?" said Master King with a laugh.

"I really don't know what you mean. Who is the traitor?" asked Damian.

"Of course, it's both of you! You and your secretary have been having an illicit affair. If I continue to work with you, my company will be affected by bad rumors," replied Master King.

"Besides being a stupid man, Damian is also a jerk who hurts his sincere wife. But that's okay, because now I can get a cooperation contract," said Dexson to himself.

"Damn it! How did Master King find out about this?" Damian fumed to himself.

"I'm sorry, Master King, maybe you misunderstood. Don't believe the bad rumors about Mr. Sam too much, Mr. Sam and I don't have any relationship. Maybe someone is trying to bring Mr. Sam down," explained Eliza.

"Regan's lawyer told me and told me about your case," replied Master King.

"Damn! That lawyer has caused me losses and made me suffer embarrassment," Damian grumbled to himself.

"Actually, Miss Caroline just misunderstood us, but she wouldn't listen to Mr. Sam's explanation," Eliza said nervously.

"At that time, Mr. Sam accidentally helped me, and that caused Miss Caroline to misunderstand," she continued.

"I don't think it's a misunderstanding. If it were just a misunderstanding, why did your wife hire Regan's lawyer to divorce you? And I've also seen evidence of your affair," replied Master King.

"Never mind, you two better leave and don't bother me," he continued.

"So Damian and his wife are divorced? Damian is really stupid!" Dexson thought to himself.

Damian and Eliza left the XMY company angrily.

"I'll make that damn lawyer regret it!" Damian shouted.

"I can't accept this either! He has made us both suffer embarrassment, and we have suffered huge losses. But it's your ex-wife who is at fault," Eliza grumbled.

"Who actually helped Caroline? How did she manage to hire such a great lawyer?" Damian fumed.

"We have to find out quickly, lest that lowly woman brings us down even further," replied Eliza.

"Caroline! I'll make sure you regret what you've done. You'll beg to get back together with me," Damian thought to himself.

Elsewhere.

Dexson had finished discussing the partnership with Master King, and he intended to go home.

However, as soon as he left the XMY office, a woman stopped Dexson.

"Can you come with me for a moment? I want to talk to you. If you're interested, get in the car," she said firmly.

Dexson looked at the woman with an unreadable expression.

"I don't have much time. If you're not interested, just say so. I'll leave," she continued without looking at Dexson.

"Am I seeing things? I think I know this woman," Dexson thought to himself.

Dexson finally walked over and got into the car. After Dexson got in, the woman ordered the driver to start the car.

Dexson glanced at the woman, who hadn't said anything yet.

"Let's chat at the nearest cafe," he said casually.

"She looks like Damian's ex-wife. Is she really Caroline? This woman looks different," Dexson thought to himself as he stared at Caroline.
