Chapter 7 | Contract marriage

Damian became increasingly emotional because several of his colleagues had unilaterally canceled their contracts.

"We tried to make them happy and did everything we could to get them on our side. But now everything is a mess," Damian shouted.

"This must be the work of your ex-wife, Damian! We have to find out who is helping your wife as soon as possible," said Eliza with an annoyed expression.

"Think about it, I don't think they decided to end the partnership just because of our affair. They're not saints either, there must be something else," she continued.

Damian looked even angrier, clenching his fists. "If this really is Caroline's doing, she will regret it!"

Eliza smiled quietly, but she was also sure that this problem had something to do with Caroline.

"I'll order my subordinates to find out Caroline's whereabouts," said Damian, and Eliza nodded in response.

"Honey, we also have to find a way to prevent the company from suffering any more losses," said Eliza.

"Don't worry, this is the last time we'll suffer a loss," said Damian.

Damian then called his subordinates to find out Caroline's whereabouts.

"Have you told your subordinates to find out where that lowly woman is?" asked Eliza.

"Yes, dear, they've been working quite well. They'll report back to us soon," replied Damian.

"Good. I'm tired enough, and don't let your ex-wife get any more arrogant. She will become even more insolent if you are destroyed," said Eliza.

"What Eliza said is true, I have to be even more successful so that Caroline will regret it. And she will definitely beg to come back to me," said Damian to himself.

"That will never happen, dear. We will definitely be successful again. And that arrogant woman will definitely regret it," replied Damian.

"Yes. I believe in your abilities," said Eliza with a smile.

Damian hugged Eliza from behind and kissed her back.

"You are indeed the best," said Damian softly.

The two of them then decided to take a break.

Elsewhere. Caroline received a report from Jack that several large companies had decided not to work with Damian.

Caroline smiled slightly when she heard this. "This is just the beginning, Damian, and I'll make sure you're completely destroyed."

"Ma'am, what's the next plan? Why don't you reveal your identity? That could make Damian regret it immediately," said Jack.

"No, Jack. That's too hasty. There will be a time when Damian finds out who I am, but now is not the time. I still want to play with that man and make him regret it slowly because that's much more painful," explained Caroline.

"Whatever you decide, I will support you," replied Jack.

"Thank you, Jack. Not only am I making them both regret it, they made me lose my baby. They have to feel the pain I feel," said Caroline with an angry expression.

Jack looked at his female employer with pity. If only his female employer hadn't forbidden him to kill Damian and Eliza, Jack might have killed them both.

"I can't ruin the mistress's plan by killing them. The mistress's plan is definitely the best; I just need to watch over her and keep her safe," Jack thought to himself.

"Jack, later you'll take me to meet Dexson," Caroline ordered.

"Alright," Jack replied.

Today Caroline decided to draw up the marriage contract with Dexson. But before that, Caroline asked Dexson for permission to visit his home. Dexson did not refuse, and immediately sent her his address.

"Jack, have you taken care of that lowlife?" asked Caroline.

"Of course, ma'am. I've taken care of them, and I guarantee your identity will be safe. I won't let you be in danger," Jack replied.

"Good job, Jack. You're really reliable," Caroline said.

"Thank you, ma'am," said Jack.

They then decided to go to Dexson's house.

"Want to try to find me? A stupid man like you won't be able to. But I have a fun game," Caroline said to herself.

"Ma'am, it looks like someone is following us. Should I take care of them first?" asked Jack while staying focused on driving.

"Just let them follow us. They won't hurt us," replied Caroline with a smile.

"They're just small fry sent by a useless man," Caroline thought to herself.

Caroline had arrived at Dexson's house, and she told Jack not to wait for her.

"Wait, don't go in yet. It looks like someone is following you," whispered Dexson.

"I know, but it's not a problem," Caroline replied with a smile.

"Thank you for helping me, dear. They must be on your side. You're amazing. I love you," Caroline said as she kissed Dexson on the cheek.

Dexson was surprised, of course, but he tried to act normal. He just smiled back and invited Caroline inside.

"Caroline kissed me, but she only did it to trap them. Maybe those people are Damian's subordinates. This is very interesting!" Dexson thought to himself with a slight smile.

"Earlier, I____"

"No need to explain, I already know what you mean," said Dexson.

"You really are reliable and quite smart. I like your abilities," said Caroline.

"Looks like they're gone. Want to take care of the paperwork now?" asked Dexson.

"Of course," replied Caroline.

They then went to the marriage office to make their marriage certificate, as well as a contract agreement.

"This is yours. We'll keep it together. Don't let anyone find out," Caroline warned.

"Don't worry, everything will be fine." Dexson took the papers and put them in the pocket of his coat.

"Dexson, as long as we're in a contract marriage, we have to live together. I don't want this plan to fail," said Caroline.

"Alright. I agree with you. Do you mind if we stay at my house?" Dexson replied.

"No problem. I'll have Jack bring my things to your house," Caroline said.

Dexson nodded in response.

"I want to go somewhere. Will you take me?" Caroline asked.

"Of course," replied Dexson.

The two of them got into the car and went to the place Caroline wanted to go.

"Is it true that Damian's ex-wife is from the village? And Damian said Caroline is uneducated. But from what I see, she's a smart woman. It seems like Caroline is hiding a secret," thought Dexson to himself.
