Chapter 2 Party on The beach!!! Lets celebrate in Jesus Name!!

A group of boys played a fun game on the beach, hitting a ball with a racket in their hands. Although we didn't live in the human world, we were well aware of all its secrets; mermaids could visit the surface and even walk among people whenever we wanted, allowing us to easily understand their culture and norms.

I noticed that the teams were unbalanced, with two boys playing against three. The team with more players consisted of one girl and two men, while the opposing team consisted of two men. They were all young, and there was another boy sitting on the side of the net, watching them play. He hugged his knees with one arm and rested his chin on his hand, observing the tennis match with a concentration similar like if He was studying a game of chess. I looked at that boy and noticed his strong, hairy forearms, his hazel brown eyes were concentrated. I turned towards the bar, where a crowd made it difficult to access. Yryhnna grabbed my arm, letting out a laugh.

"Let's follow Seila before she flirts with any man, including the bar tender" Yryhnna added.

"Human men are so easy to seduce," I said, and we both laughed.

Seila, at the bar, orders cocktails and snacks. She places them on a table and looks over her shoulder, searching for someone.

"Do you have anything to eat?" I subtly ask, noticing that Seila only ordered cheese pastries. I glance at my sister as she gets up from the table and disappears from my sight. I turn back to the waiter, speaking to him with an elegant and seductive air.

"Maybe sushi?" - The waiter looked at me with bright, sparkling eyes.

"We have a special sushi menu tonight, tonight we are serving a special selection of the best of Japanese cuisine." The waiter gives me the menu and I can see a variety of sushi, steamed and cold. My stomach growls eagerly, as I haven't eaten since early in the morning.

"Wow!" Yryhnna exclaims, surprised. "It looks delicious."

"Yes, delicious," the waiter says, staring dumbfounded at Yryhnna's beautiful face.

She lifts her eyes towards him, and as expected, the man loses all ability to speak. Yryhnna sighs resignedly, used to causing that effect on humans.

"I love Japanese food!" she adds, looking at me with joy.

"Great, seems like it's your lucky night" I told her, my sister smiled at me like a lovely kitten.

" Japanese food will be perfect, thank you" I say, handing the menu back to the restaurant employee and smiling at him. He seems slightly dazed by my smile, then shakes his head and speaks to me again automatically, not taking his eyes off mine.

"Undoubtedly mine too. I could also suggest a Blue Lagoon cocktail to accompany the appetizer."

"Oh, great!"

"I love the idea!" - Yryhnna responds. The waiter becomes so happy to the point of euphoria and leaves our side of the bar, not without clumsily stumbling into one of his colleagues and causing him to drop a tray of beers.

"Watch where you're going!"

"Oh, I'm sorry, I'm sorry! - the employee apologizes and disappears from sight through a door that leads him to the kitchen."

Yryhnna and I look at each other in silence and penetrate each other's minds with our eyes, both of us bursting into laughter.

"Oh, here you are!" - Seila says, relieved to see us.

The atmosphere was filled with young and handsome men, some faces were perfect like the ones I used to see in magazines, a group of women were enthusiastically talking to a man, he seemed comfortable in the conversation despite the attention from so many women. I noticed that he was the same guy who had been sitting watching his friends play tennis. I was surprised to find that this guy was not particularly good-looking, he was tall with very fair skin, bushy beard, his nose was not aquiline but it was very refined and stood out. His eyes were deep and looked attentively at the girls when they spoke. His gaze was penetrating and unsettling. His lips were thin and what was particularly striking about him was his beard and excessive body hair that covered his arms.

I asked the waiter for a drink as he approached to ask what I desired. I moved my hair back with a gesture of my arm and my ash blonde locks tumbled down my back, tickling my wet hair. I pretended not to pay attention, but the truth was that I was interested in what that man was saying. Something important in the world of sirens is that we tend to be direct and very sweet or seductive. If we liked a man, we knew it instantly by looking into his eyes and listening to his voice, and for some reason, I found this man very attractive, with his bushy beard and his hazel brown eyes, although I didn't know why yet.

He was talking with three beautiful girls, so beautiful that they could pass for sirens. He made them all laugh. One of them was a redhead with freckles scattered across her cheeks. Another had black hair reaching her shoulders. And the last one had long, curly hair cascading down her back, this was specially beautiful and her eyes has the same hazel brown color than the guy. She laughed, fascinated by his words. I rarely felt jealous of any woman. I always considered myself a daughter of the great Goddess, as all sirens are. But these women around him intrigued me; I also wanted to possess his attention.

I tried to turn towards them, uncovering my ear to listen more clearly without the curtain of my wet hair.

As the sisters made their way through the crowd, the sounds of laughter and music enveloped them like a warm embrace. The beach party was in full swing, with colorful lights strung between palm trees and the rhythmic beat of drums echoing across the sand. Mía’s heart raced with excitement, the energy of the scene igniting her spirit of adventure.

Seila led the way, her confidence shining brighter than the stars above. Mía admired her sister's ability to draw people in, her magnetic charm effortlessly captivating those around her. Yryhnna, ever the protective sister, stayed close to Mía, her watchful gaze scanning the crowd.

“Let’s find a spot near the bonfire,” Seila suggested, her voice lively. “I want to show off my latest look!”

Mía giggled, catching the sparkle in her sister's eyes. Seila had a flair for the dramatic, and tonight was no exception. As they settled into a cozy spot, the warmth of the fire flickering against their skin, Mía felt a sense of belonging wash over her. Here, among the laughter and the music, she was not just a mermaid; she was part of something larger than herself.

As drinks were handed to them—brightly colored cocktails that sparkled under the moonlight—Mía took a moment to observe the scene. Couples danced, friends embraced, and the air was filled with the scent of grilled seafood and tropical fruits. For a moment, she felt a pang of longing for the world above, a world she had studied through the pages of her ancient books. The stories of love, loss, and adventure resonated within her, pulling her towards the surface.
