Chapter 4 CHAPTER 04

"Good, you can go home for the weekend." Luna told me. I looked at her confused

"This was supposed to be a dinner for retired Alpha's for Rio's father. But some how, and I just found out Alpha Edward has invited Koda and his new Luna to join us. I'm so angry. He does not have an alliance with us. He is just coming to snoop around. You will get double pay for the weekend who is close to second cook do you know?" She asked.

"Gwen, or Paula" I told her.

"Well Gwen it will be Rio will have to suck it up. You can tell them your not well or something and have Gwen take over. Get some rest you look tired." She told me then we went back into the kitchen.

"Thank you Luna Riana,” I said. When she was gone I turned and looked at them.

"Gwen do you know how to make everything that is on the menu for the Alpha's dinner to night?" I asked her.

"Yes, why?" She asked.

"Because if you screw it up you will be in the laundry come Monday morning. The rest of you Gwen is now head cook for the weekend I have been called away do what you're told listen to Gwen and don't screw up. Because Marg and I will hear about it." I told them. Then I took off my apron. All I could smell was the bacon cooking I ran the washroom and threw up. Gwen came into the washroom.

"Are you ok?" She asked.

"Yes, check the bacon and make sure it is not spoiled." I told her as I rinsed my mouth out with water.

"The bacon just came yesterday, Amelia," Gwen told me.

"It smells awful," I told her.

"Maybe it is for the best you are going then, we can't get everyone in the kitchen sick can we." Gwen said. She was right but she said it snippety like she was boss over me.

"Leave me be Gwen and don't screw up dinner because Luna knows your head cook." I told her and walked out of the bathroom and hung up my apron on the way out.

When I got home I put on the coffee and kettle for tea.  Then I started breakfast for my parent who would be up shortly.

"Amelia what are you doing?" mother asked as I was finishing dad's omelet. I told her about Luna coming down into the kitchen and telling me Koda was bring his new Luna, so they gave me the weekend off.

"That was rude of his father. To just invite them, some people have no class " mom said.

"I get a weekend off with double pay, I think I'm coming down with something any ways I threw up." I told her.

"Amelia, you know we don't get sick like that." Mom said.

"Well what else could it be.

"What made you feel sick?" Mom asked.

"The bacon they were cooking had turned." I told her putting dad's plate on the table then got moms. I sat down at the table with my tea. Mom kept looking at me as she poured dad's coffee and her tea. I was going to ask her why but dad came into the dinning room and sat down.

"Thought you were working?" dad asked me as he picked up his fork.

"Long story dad, Luna came down in the kitchen this morning, Alpha has given me the weekend off with double pay." I told him.

"His dinner party is tonight. I know Marg has gone to see her daughter, so who is cooking his special dinner?" Dad asked in between bites of food.

"Gwen will be." I told him.

"He will not be in a good mood come tomorrow morning that woman would burn water if she could." Dad said grabbing more toast.

"Well your daughter can't be in the pack house so he only has himself to blame for not telling Alpha Koda senior no." Mom said getting up and going to the fridge.

"No about what?" father asked.

"I'm going to go have a shower," I said getting up avoiding his question.

"Good idea, I want to take you to see the doctor," mom said sitting back down with the jar of jam.

"Will one of you answer my question and why   does Amelia have to see the doctor?" Dad demanded.

"I will leave it to you mom," I said heading for the stairs. As I reach the top I head dad yelling. I showered and out on stretch pant and a hoodie. My jeans felt a bit tight for some reason. I put on my joggers and went downstairs mom was in the kitchen and Dad was no where in site.

"Sorry mom, I didn't want to get into it with dad." I said to her grabbing a towel and drying the dishes.

"Leave them to air dry, we are going to see Doctor William at the pack hospital." Mom told me.

"Mom, I feel fine now I don't think I need to see Doctor William." I protested. She took the towel from my hand.

"Let's go he is waiting for you!" Mom said walking out of the kitchen. I just stood there.

"Amelia now!" Mom said from the front door. I groaned and followed her. When we got to the pack hospital we went to where the doctors’ offices were. The nurse saw mom and told her exam room three he is waiting.

We went in and closed the door.

"Amelia it is good to have you home," Doctor William said turning from the desk to face us as we sat down.

"Thank you," I said quietly.

"Your mother says you have not been feeling well," he said looking at me.

"I have just been a bit more tired then normal is all." I said.

"She threw up this morning, when they were cooking bacon in the kitchen for breakfast." Mom added.

"Mom, I told you the meat had turned," I said to her.

"But your the only one who thought it smelled bad and threw up. I called down to the kitchen the bacon was fine." Mom said. I just looked at her; I didn't know what to say.

"I have a feeling I know what is going on. Amelia humor me I want to run a couple of test." Doctor William said.

"Fine but there is nothing wrong with me." I told him. A nurse came and drew some blood then sent us to the waiting room. An hour later the nurse asked us to go back into room three. We went back in and waited for the doctor.

"Well Amelia, congratulations are in order." Doctor William said coming into the room with a bunch of papers.

"Excuse me?" I asked him and then looked at mom who was smiling.

"I want to schedule an ultrasound for tomorrow morning, and you need to take these vitamins and drink ginger tea for the nausea." He said.

"Ultrasound why?" I asked concerned that there was something seriously wrong with me what STD did Koda give me I thought.
