When you gaze into the abyss, the abyss also gazes into you.

Chapter 1
Hillcrest Detective Bureau.
The atmosphere in the Detective Captain's office was stifling.
Travis Smith stood by the window, his face dark as he stared outside, clutching a case report tightly in his hand.
"Jay was about to retire soon, how could he suddenly commit suicide?"
"Wasn't it an accident? He got electrocuted while fixing an appliance..."
"Keep it down! There's a meeting going on upstairs."
The voices of the officers discussing were clearly audible to Travis.
"Chief Johnson!"
The voice outside brought Travis back to reality. He wiped his slightly reddened eyes.
Travis noticed a woman standing next to Carter Johnson.
She looked to be around twenty-seven or twenty-eight, but what caught Travis's attention were her eyes. They were unusually calm, like a still pond.
"Chief Johnson."
Carter nodded slightly, "Let me introduce you."
"This is Elaine Garcia, our new criminal psychology and forensic consultant."
"She's a special talent approved by headquarters, and she'll be a key technical asset to your team."
"Captain Smith, I look forward to working with you," Elaine spoke slowly.
Travis glanced at her. The new colleague had soft features and didn't look like a specially approved talent from headquarters.
She seemed more like an office worker filling out forms in a corporate building.
Could someone like her really help with investigations? Travis was skeptical.
He nodded indifferently, not paying much attention to Elaine.
She seemed like someone who was just here to gain some experience, so it was best to avoid involving her too much.
Carter felt a bit awkward at Travis's indifference and apologized to Elaine, "Elaine, please don't mind him."
But Elaine didn't seem to mind. Instead, she looked at the case analysis on the whiteboard.
After examining it for a while, she suddenly asked, "Where's the evidence report from the scene? Can I see it?"
Everyone looked at Travis. He frowned slightly but waved his hand, "Give it to her."
"This is the case of the electrocution death on the east side of town. The deceased is Jay Lewis, a detective who was three days away from retirement."
"The scene was determined to be an accident, consistent with all the characteristics of accidental electrocution."
Kelvin Perez provided a brief introduction to the case.
All the detectives listening in felt a bit nervous for Elaine.
Travis was known for his strict standards, especially towards those who got in through connections.
"I don't think Ms. Garcia will last long here."
"It's a shame. Other teams have women, but our team is full of testosterone. We finally get a beautiful woman, and she won't stay."
"Be grateful. Even if she's just a pretty face, it's nice to have something pleasant to look at while working."
Elaine quickly flipped through the report, her eyes focused.
Travis watched her with his arms crossed.
The report was thin, with just a few photos and a 'suicide note' from Jay.
The deceased, Jay, was found in his home clothes, collapsed in front of the TV cabinet.
His hand was on a water-soaked outlet.
The doors and windows were intact, with no signs of forced entry, and his body was covered in electrical burns.
There was no alcohol or common toxins in his system, everything pointed to accidental electrocution.
[Sick for too long... tired... finally free... sorry...]
This was the short, pieced-together suicide note.
All the evidence pointed to a suicide driven by long-term illness.
Elaine's gaze paused on the next photo.
In the photo, near the base of the deceased's right pinky finger, there was a small, irregularly shaped charred mark.
She flipped back to the previous photo of the enlarged suicide note.
Everything seemed normal, but upon closer inspection, the stroke of the word 'sorry' seemed stiff, not a natural ending.
It looked like it was forcibly pressed by an external force. This was very odd.
Elaine closed the case file and said, "I need to go to the scene."
Her tone was calm, with a professional authority that couldn't be questioned.
Travis stared at Elaine, "The scene has been cleared! The cause of death is preliminarily confirmed. Aren't the report and photos enough for you?"
Elaine looked up at him, her calm eyes shining with determination and a hint of sharpness.
"Captain Smith, just looking at the photos and report, I can only say the external injuries match electrocution."
She took out a few photos, her voice steady, "The truth often hides in overlooked details."
"The deceased's left hand was on the outlet, so how did the right hand get that unusual burn mark?"
"And the stiff stroke at the end of the note is definitely not naturally written."
Pointing to a corner of the photo, she continued, "There's a very slight scratch on the bottom of this wooden stool."
"From the marks, it looks new, not from natural wear. These details aren't detailed in the report."
The office fell silent, and the detectives outside widened their eyes, looking at Elaine with disbelief.
"These are exactly what Captain Smith said!"
"God, I think she might actually stay with us."
"How do they notice such tiny details? They're not human!"
Carter was also stunned, a slight smile forming at the corner of his mouth. This Elaine sent by headquarters seemed to be different.
Travis looked up at Elaine. In just a few minutes, she had noticed these details.
And that questioning look, was she challenging him?
"Alright, Kelvin, Kian! You two accompany Ms. Garcia and provide the most detailed records."
"Understood."
Elaine left the office, carrying her toolkit.
Travis's reaction was unexpected to her. She had pointed out Travis's oversights and flaws in the case, yet he had no reaction.
This guy was interesting.
Jay's employee dorm still had a lingering smell of dampness and burnt electronics. The furniture was covered with white sheets.
Kelvin and Kian Miller, the two technicians assigned by Travis, followed Elaine, holding inspection lights and recording devices.
They were full of curiosity about this woman.
In their team, Elaine was the only one who dared to confront Travis head-on.
Upon entering the dorm, Elaine's movements became gentle.
She approached the spot where the body was found; the wet floor marks had dried.
Opening her toolkit, she put on latex gloves and crouched down.
Instead of looking at the left hand position that had become the focus, she observed the natural resting position of Jay's right hand when he was lying down.
She took out a miniature vacuum cleaner and gently blew on the area.
Using a special pair of tweezers, she carefully picked something from an inconspicuous tile seam.
"What's that?" Kelvin couldn't help but ask, holding the recording device.
At the tip of the tweezers were a few tiny fragments, smaller than ants.
Elaine's voice was soft, "I don't know."
She picked up a small evidence bag, "Collect it, preliminary judgment suggests metallic residue."
"Here, this light brown spot, it doesn't look like food stains or rust."
She carefully swabbed a small amount of the brown spot with a sterile cotton swab and collected it.
After doing this, Elaine finally moved to the key position that triggered the 'suicide'.

The Contract Wife: Marriage Of Malice
He didn't finish. He didn't need to.
I didn't tell him to stop.
Instead, my fingers curled into his shirt, clutching the fabric as though it was my only anchor. Something in him snapped—something he had been holding back for too long. His mouth found mine in a kiss that wasn't tender, but hungry, desperate.
I gasped into him, his hand sliding up to cup my jaw, holding me as if afraid I might vanish.
"You drive me insane," he breathed against my mouth, his lips trailing to my throat. "I can't lose you, Ella. Not you."
My head fell back, a soft sound escaping me as his fingers memorized my waist. My anger melted beneath his desperation.
"James..." I whispered, more plea than protest.
His hand caught mine, fingers threading together tightly. "I'll bring him back. I swear it. Just... don't turn away from me. Please."
The word please—low, ragged, almost broken—undid me more than anything else could have.
Ella never imagined she would marry the man she had secretly loved for years in such a way.
When her brother Theo faced twenty-five years in prison for massive embezzlement, the ruthless business tycoon James Lancaster offered her a deal: marry him in exchange for her brother's freedom.
This wasn't a fairy tale proposal, but a carefully orchestrated revenge. Because in James's heart, Ella was the culprit who had killed his sister Cecilia. He wanted her to pay the price—to atone with a lifetime of suffering.
Let Them Kneel
Cast out by her pack. Forgotten by the Lycans.
She lived among humans—quiet, invisible, tucked away in a town no one looked at twice.
But when her first heat comes without warning, everything changes.
Her body ignites. Her instincts scream. And something primal stirs beneath her skin—
summoning a big, bad Alpha who knows exactly how to quench her fire.
When he claims her, it’s ecstasy and ruin.
For the first time, she believes she’s been accepted.
Seen.
Chosen.
Until he leaves her the next morning—
like a secret never to be spoken.
But Kaelani is not what they thought.
Not wolfless. Not weak.
There is something ancient inside her. Something powerful. And it’s waking.
And when it does—
they’ll all remember the girl they tried to erase.
Especially him.
She’ll be the dream he keeps chasing… the one thing that ever made him feel alive.
Because secrets never stay buried.
And neither do dreams.
Vengeance of the Forsaken Luna
"Bella." Ethan's tone shifted, taking on that warning edge I knew too well. "Faye is vulnerable right now. She's terrified you'll resent her, that this will divide the pack. The last thing she wants is for this baby to come between us."
"Then you shouldn't have done it." I met his eyes squarely, letting him see the ice in mine. "Go back to your son."
"For fuck's sake." He dragged a hand through his hair. "How many times—it was artificial insemination. They used my sperm, yes, but Faye and I never—"
Bella let out a cold snort. Such brazen lies. Her mate had an affair with his brother's partner, and his entire family helped force her out with nothing, all to make way for the mistress to take her rightful position. Poor fool—he thought she was just an unwanted adopted daughter, easy to dismiss and control. He never knew the computer genius he'd been searching for was his own Luna.
Since he'd tainted himself, Bella was done. She rejected him and reclaimed what was hers, rising to the top with help from Victor, who'd been secretly in love with her for years.
When Ethan tried winning her back: "You don't want our child growing up fatherless."
Bella smiled mockingly. "The child's father isn't you."
I Found the Babies
"When..." He growled in my ear, "When we will be getting married, I will be your only king, do you get my point? Only one queen, no misters or mistresses. Just me, just you, and yeah, our babies."
I shivered.
Alyssa Reynolds found herself in a situation, while returning home from work, and she had three choices:
Simply walk away and forget that you ever heard the sound of wailing infants.
Call the police and inform them about the innocent wails.
Follow the sounds of the wails and take the matter in your hands, deciding what to do later.
Being a kindhearted soul and a sucker for babies, she found herself choosing the third option, finding the two little lives.
Two little lives that changed her whole life, her love life included. Her life now revolved around the babies as diapers, vomit and shit seemed to surround her.
Just when she thought that now it's just her and the babies, her whole world flipped over and she found herself living under the same roof as the egotistical, obnoxious and hot-as-hell Terence Powers, the business tycoon who was not going to let the woman fend off for herself and the babies alone.
Bound by the Dragon Mafia
The head chef looked like he was silently praying for death.
I rushed forward. “Amara. Stop traumatizing these poor people.”
She spun around, delighted. “Sera! Good, you’re here. Taste this. It’s missing despair.”
The chef’s face morphed into existential crisis.
I grabbed her arm. “Put the spatula down.”
“But—”
“Down.”
With exaggerated offense, she dropped the spatula and muttered, “Fine. But if no one here has artistic vision, that’s not my fault.”
She went undercover to expose a mafia empire.
He offered her thirty nights to save her life.

Instead, she uncovers a secret older than blood—an empire built on fire, sin, and dragons.

Each night pulls her deeper into his world of power, passion, and danger…

Accardi
“I thought you said you were done chasing me?” Gen mocked.
“I am done chasing you.”
Before she could formulate a witty remark, Matteo threw her down. She landed hard on her back atop his dining room table. She tried to sit up when she noticed what he was doing. His hands were working on his belt. It came free of his pants with a violent yank. She collapsed back on her elbows, her mouth gaping open at the display. His face was a mask of sheer determination, his eyes were a dark gold swimming with heat and desire. His hands wrapped around her thighs and pulled her to the edge of the table. He glided his fingers up her thighs and hooked several around the inside of her panties. His knuckles brushed her dripping sex.
“You’re soaking wet, Genevieve. Tell me, was it me that made you this way or him?” his voice told her to be careful with her answer. His knuckles slid down through her folds and she threw her head back as she moaned. “Weakness?”
“You…” she breathed.
