She had originally intended to go straight back to the small apartment she rented, but her bag was missing, and she had no keys or phone, so she definitely couldn't get in.

Doris's face turned cold, and she no longer paid any attention to Sofia. She turned to enter through the main gate and said, "I'm going to talk to my father about this."

"Go ahead! The Stewart Group has been losing money lately, with debts amounting to millions of dollars. If it weren't for me arranging for Mia to become a surrogate, your father would've jumped off a building!" Sofia yelled from behind.

Doris paused in place as Sofia spoke.

In disbelief, she turned around and asked, "What do you mean? You made Mia... become a surrogate?"
