Abandoned Me, Why Cry Now?

Introduction
The caption read: “I finally have a corner in this city to shelter from the storm whenever I want. Thank you, Brother Yanci, for the sense of security.”
In the corner of the photo, the main wedding photo frame I’d carefully picked out after a whole week was lying upside down on the floor.
And the pajamas she was draped in were the ones I’d bought for Lu Yanci not long ago.
In the comments section, Lu Yanci replied with a patting-head emoji: “Don’t be afraid. As long as I’m here, this will always be your home.”
Even the most oblivious person could see what this meant.
That place was not just his bedroom—it was the wedding home we were supposed to move into together.
I didn’t break down hysterically. I just silently took a screenshot, then dialed the number I’d saved long ago but never called.
“Mr. Xie, I’ve decided to accept your proposal to transfer to the overseas branch for two years.”
If he wants to give someone else a home, then I don’t want this wedding anymore.
Chapter 1
My fiancé's non-blood-related sister posted a tweet with a photo showing her back silhouette against the floor-to-ceiling window in the master bedroom.
The caption read: [Finally have a place in this city where I can take shelter anytime. Thanks Lucas for the sense of security.]
In the corner of the photo was the wedding photo frame I'd spent a week carefully selecting, now face-down on the floor.
And she was wearing the pajamas I'd recently bought for Lucas Adams.
In the comments, Lucas replied with a head-patting emoji: [Don't worry, as long as I'm here, this will always be your home.]
Even the most clueless person would understand what this meant.
That place wasn't just where he slept—it was the home we were about to move into after our wedding.
I didn't lose it or go crazy. I just quietly took a screenshot, then dialed the number I'd saved but never called.
"Mr. Allen, about the offer to transfer to the overseas branch for two years—I've decided to accept."
Since he wants to give someone else a home, I don't want this wedding anymore.
Chapter 1
Right after I hung up, Lucas walked in.
He was carrying my favorite pastries, his eyes gentle, "Aria, why didn't you turn on the lights? Tired from trying on wedding dresses today?"
He naturally walked over to hug me, but I dodged by turning to pour myself some water.
Lucas's hand froze mid-air. He gave a helpless smile, "Still mad about yesterday? Mia just got back to the country. She's not adjusting well and just went through a breakup—she's really unstable emotionally. She's depended on me since she was little. I can't just let her end up on the streets, can I?"
Yesterday, I went to set up our new home with the keys I'd just gotten, only to find the passcode had been changed.
When I knocked, Mia Carter answered in a camisole nightgown, looking sleepy and innocent, "Aria? Sorry, Lucas was worried I'd be scared living alone, so he specially let me stay here for a few days. He changed the passcode too—said he was worried my ex would harass me. Didn't he tell you?"
At that moment, seeing the two pairs of slippers—one men's, one women's—lined up at the entrance, I felt sick to my stomach.
That was my wedding home.
The place I'd visited over a dozen developments to find, supervised renovations for half a year, and even delayed moving into for three months because of formaldehyde concerns.
Now, another woman was living in it.
I set down my glass, my voice so calm it surprised even me, "Lucas, so that's your reason for changing our wedding home's passcode to her birthday?"
Lucas's expression shifted.
"Aria, don't be so sensitive, okay? Mia's just staying temporarily. She'll move out once she finds a place. And the passcode was just to make it easy for her to remember. Where's your mind going?"
He set the pastries on the table, a hint of impatience in his voice, "We're getting married soon. Can't you be a little more generous? Mia's like a little sister I watched grow up. Can't you be more accommodating?"
Generous.
Accommodating.
Those two words hit me like slaps across the face.
For those two words, I'd put up with Mia constantly hitching rides during our dates, put up with her calling in the middle of the night crying, making Lucas abandon me when I had a high fever to rush to her, put up with her wearing my clothes for selfies, captioned with [Aria's clothes are so nice to wear.]
And Lucas always had the same line: "She's still young and immature. Why are you bothering with her?"
Mia is twenty-four this year, only two years younger than me.
This so-called immaturity was just being fearless because she knew she was favored.
"Fine." I looked at Lucas and suddenly smiled, "I won't bother with it."
Because you don't need to bother with dead things.
In my heart, this relationship was already dead.

From first crush to wedding vows, George Capulet and I had been inseparable. But in our seventh year of marriage, he began an affair with his secretary.
On my birthday, he took her on vacation. On our anniversary, he brought her to our home and made love to her in our bed...
Heartbroken, I tricked him into signing divorce papers.
George remained unconcerned, convinced I would never leave him.
His deceptions continued until the day the divorce was finalized. I threw the papers in his face: "George Capulet, from this moment on, get out of my life!"
Only then did panic flood his eyes as he begged me to stay.
When his calls bombarded my phone later that night, it wasn't me who answered, but my new boyfriend Julian.
"Don't you know," Julian chuckled into the receiver, "that a proper ex-boyfriend should be as quiet as the dead?"
George seethed through gritted teeth: "Put her on the phone!"
"I'm afraid that's impossible."
Julian dropped a gentle kiss on my sleeping form nestled against him. "She's exhausted. She just fell asleep."

His expression twists.
"Fuck no."
He turns—and runs.

The Pack: Rule Number 1 - No Mates
"Let me go," I whimper, my body trembling with need. "I don't want you touching me."
I fall forward onto the bed then turn around to stare at him. The dark tattoos of Domonic's chiseled shoulders, quiver and and expand with the heave of his chest. His deep dimpled smile is full of arrogance as he reaches behind himself to lock the door.
Biting his lip, he stalks toward me, his hand going to the seam of his pants and the thickening bulge there.
"Are you sure you don't want me to touch you?" He whispers, untying the knot and slipping a hand inside. "Because I swear to God, that is all I have been wanting to do. Every single day from the moment you stepped in our bar and I smelled your perfect flavor from across the room."

The War God Alpha's Arranged Bride
Yet Alexander made his decision clear to the world: “Evelyn is the only woman I will ever marry.”
I Slapped My Fiancé—Then Married His Billionaire Nemesis
Technically, Rhys Granger was my fiancé now—billionaire, devastatingly hot, and a walking Wall Street wet dream. My parents shoved me into the engagement after Catherine disappeared, and honestly? I didn’t mind. I’d crushed on Rhys for years. This was my chance, right? My turn to be the chosen one?
Wrong.
One night, he slapped me. Over a mug. A stupid, chipped, ugly mug my sister gave him years ago. That’s when it hit me—he didn’t love me. He didn’t even see me. I was just a warm-bodied placeholder for the woman he actually wanted. And apparently, I wasn’t even worth as much as a glorified coffee cup.
So I slapped him right back, dumped his ass, and prepared for disaster—my parents losing their minds, Rhys throwing a billionaire tantrum, his terrifying family plotting my untimely demise.
Obviously, I needed alcohol. A lot of alcohol.
Enter him.
Tall, dangerous, unfairly hot. The kind of man who makes you want to sin just by existing. I’d met him only once before, and that night, he just happened to be at the same bar as my drunk, self-pitying self. So I did the only logical thing: I dragged him into a hotel room and ripped off his clothes.
It was reckless. It was stupid. It was completely ill-advised.
But it was also: Best. Sex. Of. My. Life.
And, as it turned out, the best decision I’d ever made.
Because my one-night stand isn’t just some random guy. He’s richer than Rhys, more powerful than my entire family, and definitely more dangerous than I should be playing with.
And now, he’s not letting me go.
