Accidentally in Love With You
Kiera Storm · Ongoing · 191.4k Words
Introduction
My sister, the "real" daughter of my wealthy adoptive family, found the necklace. She stole my secret, claimed she was the woman from that night, and proudly paraded around as his new girlfriend.
She had already taken my parents and my fiancé. Now, she wanted to crush me at work, ordering me to step aside while she played the future Mrs. Ford.
"Don't even think about stealing him, Wendy. You're just a fake," she sneered.
She thought she had won. But she didn't know that William had already seen the unique birthmark on my shoulder.
Later that night, as my sister planned her grand engagement, the terrifying CEO pinned me against his office door. His cold eyes melted into fiery obsession as his husky voice brushed my ear.
"How much longer are you going to let her play my girlfriend, my little runaway?"
Chapter 1
"...Slow down, I can't take it anymore..."
Her delicate fingers sank into the man's broad back, scratching vivid red lines into his skin.
Wendy Moore's voice was hoarse from crying out by the time he finally let go.
The effects of the alcohol and drugs had worn off, and now all she felt was bone-deep exhaustion.
She quietly pushed William Ford's arm off her waist and got out of bed on shaky legs to get dressed.
The night before, after being drugged, she had stumbled into his room. The lighting had been dim, and he had seemed drunk too, breathing heavily, his body burning hot.
It wasn't until they'd been having sex for a while that she could see clearly—he was actually the legendary ruthless leader of the Ford Group.
He stayed away from women and was decisive and harsh. Anyone who dared scheme against him would surely die.
She'd heard plenty of rumors. Women who approached him or tried to seduce him either disappeared without a trace or met terrible ends.
Although she was also a victim of being drugged, the deed was done, and she couldn't explain her way out of it.
Wendy felt that even if she ran, he would find her and take revenge.
But she had to try escaping anyway—what if he didn't remember what she looked like?
Besides, she had a fiancé from an arranged marriage. If this got out, it would affect the whole family.
After leaving the hotel, she realized the diamond necklace around her neck was gone.
Luckily, it was a fake diamond; she couldn't afford to replace it.
She got a hotel room, took a shower, changed clothes, and only then went home.
At six in the morning, Wendy's sister Shirley Moore was already doing yoga in the villa's living room. Seeing her, she looked surprised: "You weren't home last night?"
Wendy nodded guiltily: "I ran into my college roommate at the reception, and we talked so late, I just crashed at her place."
"By the way." She touched her neck, "Shirley, I lost the necklace, I'm sorry."
"It was cheap, don't worry about it." Shirley smiled with her eyes crinkling, "You still have to go to the expo today, hurry and get ready. I revised your proposal again last night, left it on your desk, remember to check it."
Wendy breathed a sigh of relief, thanked her, and turned to go upstairs.
When she turned eighteen, her family discovered she wasn't their biological child. Shortly after, Shirley was brought back into the family.
But she was lucky—her parents didn't play favorites. While compensating Shirley, they didn't shortchange her either, and the two sisters were always treated the same.
The sisters got along well, too. Shirley had a good head for business and would help her at work. When she went to receptions, Shirley would even lend her jewelry to wear.
"Wendy."
As Wendy was going upstairs, Shirley suddenly called her.
Her tone seemed meaningful: "If one day we both fell for the same guy, would you compete with me for him?"
"What?" Wendy didn't expect that question. She tilted her head, "What are you thinking? I only go for hot but empty-headed guys. Trust me, that's definitely not your type."
She smiled: "But if that day really came, I definitely wouldn't compete with you! So many things should have been yours but ended up with me..."
Shirley cut her off: "Being switched at birth wasn't your fault."
Wendy kept smiling until she closed her bedroom door, then finally relaxed her face.
No matter what, they ultimately had no blood relation—they were strangers who'd only known each other two or three years.
Maintaining a fragile friendship was hard, but breaking it was easy.
She shook her head to stop thinking about it. After a shower, she deliberately put on a conservative long dress to cover the marks on her body.
Taking the proposal Shirley had revised for her, Wendy downed a double-shot extra-strong coffee and headed to the venue.
The expo was crowded. She was speaking on behalf of a newly established tech company under the Moore Group, scheduled fourth.
The presentation went smoothly. As Wendy walked off stage, she glanced at the audience and suddenly locked eyes with a pair of dark, brooding eyes.
Her back went rigid, and she nearly twisted her ankle.
It was William!
She looked away as quickly as possible, trying to appear calm, but Wendy could still feel the cold gaze on her.
Could he have recognized her?
She practically walked back to her seat with both arms and legs moving on the same side. Before she could catch her breath, a man approached her: "Ms. Moore, Mr. Ford would like to see you."
Wendy suddenly tensed up.
"Okay." She gave a bitter smile and stood up again.
William was no longer in his earlier seat.
She followed the assistant into a corridor on the side of the venue and entered a lounge. On the sofa, William sat with his long legs crossed, his posture elegant and refined.
Today, his dark black suit made him look noble, his features even more striking and sharp in the bright light.
Unlike last night's burning aggression in the darkness, he now radiated an unapproachable, icy aura, his eyes dark and unreadable.
Wendy greeted him nervously: "Mr. Ford."
"The low-power sensor module in your proposal—how low can you get the cost?"
Wendy froze for a second, seeing the freshly printed document in William's hands. Only then did she realize he'd asked her here purely because he was interested in her project, not about last night's one-night stand.
Her heart sank, and she began to speak confidently.
She'd worked hard on this project for a long time and prepared thoroughly, so she quickly got into her stride—logical, measured in pace, her eyes unconsciously showing confidence and passion.
"Not a bad idea." After hearing her introduction, he gave what wasn't quite a compliment.
Then he stood up and walked toward her.
As they got a bit closer, the familiar scent of his aftershave entered Wendy's nose. She noticed a very faint red mark below his ear and suddenly remembered biting him there last night while holding his face.
Her heart began racing wildly. She forced herself not to step back. She absolutely couldn't let William see her guilt! Even if he really recognized her, she had to deny it to the death!
"I feel like I've seen you somewhere before," he said.
That one sentence made Wendy's vision go dark with shock. She couldn't even smile: "Is, is that so?"
"At last year's charity gala, I think." William continued, "You're John Moore's daughter?"
"Yes." Wendy's voice started shaking.
So he wasn't hinting at last night's one-night stand after all.
"I have met Mr. Ford a few times at receptions before. I didn't expect you'd still remember me."
William asked: "Would you be willing to bring your project to the Ford Group for deeper collaboration?"
Was he inviting her to bring her whole project team to work at the Ford Group?
For the Moore family, this was obviously an excellent opportunity, but it also meant she'd be working in the same building as William from now on.
If he gradually investigated and found out that the woman who had a one-night stand with him was actually his employee, what would happen?
"You can take your time to think about it." Seeing her silence, William didn't push. He gestured for his assistant to hand over a business card, "Just reply within a week."
The card had the official phone number for the Ford Group's secretarial team.
"Okay, yes, thank you, Mr. Ford." Wendy reached out to take the card. Her delicate hand contrasted sharply with the black card, and a crescent-shaped red mark on it was particularly obvious.
It was from last night when she kept clawing at William. Unable to take it anymore, he'd grabbed her hand and bit it as punishment.
Wendy jerked her hand back as if electrocuted, and the business card fell to the floor.

The Contract Wife: Marriage Of Malice
He didn't finish. He didn't need to.
I didn't tell him to stop.
Instead, my fingers curled into his shirt, clutching the fabric as though it was my only anchor. Something in him snapped—something he had been holding back for too long. His mouth found mine in a kiss that wasn't tender, but hungry, desperate.
I gasped into him, his hand sliding up to cup my jaw, holding me as if afraid I might vanish.
"You drive me insane," he breathed against my mouth, his lips trailing to my throat. "I can't lose you, Ella. Not you."
My head fell back, a soft sound escaping me as his fingers memorized my waist. My anger melted beneath his desperation.
"James..." I whispered, more plea than protest.
His hand caught mine, fingers threading together tightly. "I'll bring him back. I swear it. Just... don't turn away from me. Please."
The word please—low, ragged, almost broken—undid me more than anything else could have.

"Bella." Ethan's tone shifted, taking on that warning edge I knew too well. "Faye is vulnerable right now. She's terrified you'll resent her, that this will divide the pack. The last thing she wants is for this baby to come between us."
"Then you shouldn't have done it." I met his eyes squarely, letting him see the ice in mine. "Go back to your son."
"For fuck's sake." He dragged a hand through his hair. "How many times—it was artificial insemination. They used my sperm, yes, but Faye and I never—"
Bella let out a cold snort. Such brazen lies. Before I could answer, he moved closer, suddenly looming over me, his face inches from mine. I felt my breath caught, my lips parting in surprise.
"Then this is the price for speaking ill of me to others," he murmured, nipping my lower lip before claiming my mouth in a real kiss. It began as punishment but quickly transformed into something else entirely as I responded, my initial rigidity melting into compliance, then active participation.
