Introduction
Alone and struggling without her wolf, Annie has no choice but to seek help from a neighboring pack—one that has always been at odds with her own. There, she meets Riley, the powerful and enigmatic Alpha, who takes an unexpected interest in her. From the moment he lays eyes on Annie, he feels an undeniable pull toward her, a connection so strong it shakes him to his core.
But Annie has lost all faith in mates and love. Every kind word, every lingering touch, and every stolen glance from Riley makes her heart ache with memories of the past. She refuses to be seen as a tool or a prize ever again.
Riley, however, sees beyond her pain. He doesn’t just want her because of the bond—they haven’t even confirmed it yet. He wants her for who she is, for the fire she tries so hard to hide. He wants to show her that not all mates bring pain, that love doesn’t have to be a weakness.
Chapter 1
Chapter 1 – Annie’s POV
Dissapointment
The cold night air touched my skin as I walked along the border of the Silvermoon Pack. The moon was low in the sky, giving a soft light to the dark trees around me. I had done this many times before—watching, listening, making sure no danger entered our land. But tonight, something felt wrong.
I pushed the bad feeling away and tried to mind-link my mate Caleb, the future Alpha.
Caleb? I called through the link. No answer.
I frowned. He ignored me often, but this time, the silence felt strange. I tried again.
Caleb, I’m at the border. Is everything okay?
Suddenly, a sharp pain hit my head like fire burning through my mind. I gasped, my vision going blurry as the pain got worse. It felt like something inside me was being torn apart—like my wolf was being taken away from me.
Then, everything went dark.
When I woke up, my head throbbed. My body was sprawled on the cold ground, my limbs weak. Panic shot through me as I tried to reach out to my wolf, Leya.
Leya?
Silence.
A chill ran through me. My wolf had always been a little unstable—she had come to me late, but she was strong. Still, she had never gone completely silent before.
I tried mind-linking Caleb again, desperation creeping into my voice. Caleb, please, something’s wrong. I need help.
Nothing.
Then, a single message broke through the block.
“I’m with your sister. She needs me.”
My blood ran cold. My sister? Since when did she—?
Anger bubbled up inside me, pushing away the dizziness as I forced myself to my feet. My legs felt like lead as I stumbled back toward the pack house, my heart hammering.
The moment I stepped inside, I felt it.
A shift in the air.
My entire family was gathered in the living room. My mother and father sat stiffly, their eyes darting to me as I entered. But what made my stomach twist was him.
Caleb.
Sitting right there on the couch.
Holding hands with my sister, Celeste.
The sight sent a wave of nausea crashing over me.
“What the hell is going on?” My voice came out hoarse, strained with disbelief.
Caleb had the audacity to look at me like I was overreacting. “Annie, listen—”
“No,” I snapped. “Explain. Now.”
He sighed as if he was the one suffering. “Celeste’s condition is getting worse,” he said, squeezing her hand. “She doesn’t have much time left. Her only wish is to mate with me before she dies.”
My ears rang.
I looked at my sister, the same sister who had never shown any interest in Caleb before, the same sister who had always been delicate and soft-spoken, now staring at me with wide, tear-filled eyes.
“Annie,” she murmured weakly, as if just speaking drained her, “I love him. I always have. This is my only wish.”
Something inside me cracked.
I turned back to Caleb, my mate—the one I had stood by, trained for, bled for. “You’re mating my sister? What about me?” My voice shook with barely contained fury.
Caleb had the nerve to smile at me, as if I was being unreasonable. “After all, she’s your sister,” he said smoothly. “We’re lucky to live in peaceful times. As the future Luna, you should have a big heart, Annie. Be kind. Think of Celeste—she doesn’t have much time left. Once she’s gone, I promise, you will be my Luna.”
I felt like I had been punched in the gut.
So that was it? I was supposed to wait for my sister to die so I could have my mate back?
Celeste clutched Caleb’s arm, sniffling. “I just want to experience love before I go, Annie. Can’t you do this for me?”
For her?
I clenched my fists, my claws itching to rip through my skin. I had spent years training, pushing myself to be the best warrior in this pack, despite my unstable bond with Leya. I had fought for this pack.
And this was my reward?
“Be reasonable, Annie,” my father spoke up. “Celeste is sick. And we heard of a doctor—a great one. Maybe if you take some time away from the pack, you can find them and help her.”
I let out a short, bitter laugh. Ah, I see.
So if I found the doctor and saved my sister, then what? Celeste lives, and I lose everything?
If I failed, I would still be cast aside.
The betrayal burned like acid in my chest.
I gazed at Caleb, my alleged mate, and Celeste, my sister, with nothing but disgust.
"Congratulations," I spoke, my tone dripping with venom.
Their relief infuriated me.
I was there, betrayed and helpless, when I sensed a presence in my mind. It was Mariana, our pack doctor and friend. "Annie, I've been trying to reach you. Are you having issues with your wolf again?" she asked, concern etched in her mental voice.
I breathed deeply and updated her on what was going on. "Mariana, it's not only my wolf. It's…it's everything. My boyfriend, my family.they're all against me."
There was a pause, and then Mariana's voice came back on the line, calm and steady. "I'm coming to get you. We'll figure this out together."
I nodded, feeling a lump form in my throat. I was grateful for Mariana's support.
En route to the neighboring pack, I filled Mariana in on the rest of the details. She listened intently, her expression growing more concerned by the minute.
When I'd finished, she paused for a moment to choose her words carefully before speaking. "There's a doctor in the Riley pack who might be able to help your sister. They're good people, even if there is animosity between our packs."
I lifted an eyebrow. "The Riley pack? But.but they're our rivals."
Mariana nodded. "I know, but like I said, they're good people. And desperate times call for desperate measures. We have to do everything we can to help your sister."
I took a deep breath, weighing my options. I knew that going to the Riley pack was risky, but I also knew that I had to do everything in my power to save my sister.
"Alright," I said finally. "Let's go."
Mariana nodded and turned the car towards the Riley pack's territory. As we drove, I couldn't help but feel a wave of unease.

I hate girls like her.
Entitled.
Delicate.
And still—
Still.
The image of her standing in the doorway, clutching her cardigan tighter around her narrow shoulders, trying to smile through the awkwardness, won’t leave me.
Neither does the memory of Tyler. Leaving her here without a second thought.
I shouldn’t care.
I don’t care.
It’s not my problem if Tyler’s an idiot.
It’s not my business if some spoiled little princess has to walk home in the dark.

What? No—wait… oh Moon Goddess, no.
Please tell me you're joking, Lex.
But she's not. I can feel her excitement bubbling under my skin, while all I feel is dread.
We turn the corner, and the scent hits me like a punch to the chest—cinnamon and something impossibly warm. My eyes scan the room until they land on him. Tall. Commanding. Beautiful.
And then, just as quickly… he sees me.
His expression twists.
"Fuck no."
He turns—and runs.

The Pack: Rule Number 1 - No Mates
"Let me go," I whimper, my body trembling with need. "I don't want you touching me."
I fall forward onto the bed then turn around to stare at him. The dark tattoos of Domonic's chiseled shoulders, quiver and and expand with the heave of his chest. His deep dimpled smile is full of arrogance as he reaches behind himself to lock the door.
Biting his lip, he stalks toward me, his hand going to the seam of his pants and the thickening bulge there.
"Are you sure you don't want me to touch you?" He whispers, untying the knot and slipping a hand inside. "Because I swear to God, that is all I have been wanting to do. Every single day from the moment you stepped in our bar and I smelled your perfect flavor from across the room."

The Human Among Wolves
My stomach twisted, but he wasn’t finished.
"You're just a pathetic little human," Zayn said, his words deliberate, each one hitting like a slap. "Spreading your legs for the first guy who bothers to notice you."
Heat rushed to my face, burning with humiliation. My chest ached — not from his words alone, but from the sick realization that I had trusted him. That I had let myself believe he was different.
I was so, so stupid.

Accardi
“I thought you said you were done chasing me?” Gen mocked.
“I am done chasing you.”
Before she could formulate a witty remark, Matteo threw her down. She landed hard on her back atop his dining room table. She tried to sit up when she noticed what he was doing. His hands were working on his belt. It came free of his pants with a violent yank. She collapsed back on her elbows, her mouth gaping open at the display. His face was a mask of sheer determination, his eyes were a dark gold swimming with heat and desire. His hands wrapped around her thighs and pulled her to the edge of the table. He glided his fingers up her thighs and hooked several around the inside of her panties. His knuckles brushed her dripping sex.
“You’re soaking wet, Genevieve. Tell me, was it me that made you this way or him?” his voice told her to be careful with her answer. His knuckles slid down through her folds and she threw her head back as she moaned. “Weakness?”
“You…” she breathed.

Rise of the Banished She-Wolf
That roar stole my eighteenth birthday and shattered my world. My first shift should have been glory—blood turned blessing into shame. By dawn they'd branded me "cursed": cast out by my pack, abandoned by family, stripped of my nature. My father didn't defend me—he sent me to a forsaken island where wolfless outcasts were forged into weapons, forced to kill each other until only one could leave.
On that island I learned the darkest edges of humanity and how to bury terror in bone. Countless times I wanted to surrender—dive into the waves and never surface—but the accusing faces that haunted my dreams pushed me back toward something colder than survival: revenge. I escaped, and for three years I hid among humans, collecting secrets, learning to move like a shadow, sharpening patience into precision—becoming a blade.
Then, under a full moon, I touched a bleeding stranger—and my wolf returned with a violence that made me whole. Who was he? Why could he wake what I'd thought dead?
One thing I know: now is the time.
I have waited three years for this. I will make everyone who destroyed me pay—and take back everything that was stolen from me.
