Craving the Wrong Brother
Ayanfelord · Ongoing · 30.7k Words
Introduction
It was just one reckless night. One stupid dare. One kiss that should have ended everything before it began.
Instead, it became the kind of mistake that doesn’t stay buried.
Because the man she walked away from without a name… isn’t a stranger.
He’s her fiancé’s elder brother.
Now trapped between the life she agreed to and the man she can’t forget, she tries to do the right thing—to be the perfect fiancée, to ignore the tension that lingers every time he walks into a room, to pretend that night never happened.
But he doesn’t let her.
Where her fiancé offers stability, his brother offers something far more dangerous—attention that feels intentional, words that cut too close, and a presence she can’t escape no matter how hard she tries. And the closer the wedding gets, the harder he pushes, as if he’s determined to prove that what happened between them was never a mistake.
Secrets begin to crack beneath the surface of her engagement. Control starts to look like love. Lies start to look like truth. And the more she uncovers, the more she realizes she may be walking into a future she doesn’t fully understand.
But wanting the wrong man is one thing.
Being caught with him?
That would destroy everything.
And he doesn’t seem afraid of that at all.
Because this time, he isn’t walking away.
Chapter 1
MIREILLE’S POV
“I dare you, bitch, to kiss the next man who walks into this bar!” Jacenta yelled at the top of her voice, trying to carry her voice through the loud music roaring in the bar.
I eyed her disdainfully, warning her away silently. She shrugged, took a sip of her cocktail, and stared at me, the dare in her eyes still glinting.
“You know I am engaged to the love of my life. I have no desire for any other man no matter what,” I told her, my voice flat.
“That’s the whole point, babe. After today, you are going to be wedded to your one and only Kian,” Janceta protested. “You can't tell me you don't want to have a last bite of one of these gorgeous adonis walking on the earth before you tie yourself to just one dick.”
I gasped softly at her words but I didn't respond. I knew her well enough to recognize that trying to win an argument with Jacenta was the start of a war. Until she wins, there is not going to be an end to the topic. So I just grabbed my drink and downed the content. My eyes watered as my throat burned. I welcomed the distraction.
“You know you can't get out of this. The game says you either have to do the truth or the dare, you chose the dare, so you have to do it,” Janet, my other best friend said. “Just a peck on the cheek should do.” She added.
A kiss on the cheek? I had no objection to that. I turned slightly until I could face the door and waited for the poor soul that would walk in, only to be entrapped in the mess my friends had created in his absence. For a minute, only women walked in through the door. I scoffed as a blonde woman with an authority about her walked in, swaying her hips like she owned the entire bar and every breathing thing in it. And perhaps she did, I thought, as the men in the bar temporarily paid attention to her.
“Gosh, she is so beautiful!” Janet rasped. She was a lesbian - one of the reasons why her family, a wealthy renowned people, disowned her. According to them, they couldn't allow that taint on their name. Janet had walked away, not sparing them a glance. It's been five years and she hasn't looked back for even a second.
“She doesn't look like your regular line of women,” I commented dryly. “You usually prefer beauties like me.” I held strands of my copper burned hair in my hand and twisted the strands seductively as I licked my lower lip. Janet rolled her eyes at the dry joke I was trying to make.
“Both of us know that the only one who likes you and your style is Kian.” she said, without mercy.
Jacenta laughed and Janet followed, both of them laughing as they stared at my ripped baggy jeans and the big black polo I wore. I looked down at myself and winced as their words stung my eyes. Any other day, I would have laughed at them and even thrown a shadow at Janceta, asking her to change her style, seeing as no man had stayed beyond a month with her despite all her flowery, princessy dressing. Even now, dressed to the tee in her off shoulder short, pleated gown and her pink heels, she had caught the attention of men but none had boldly walked up to her to ask for her number.
I ignored the two of them and drowned another drink. I turned toward the door just as Janet started to say something else. I drowned her voice out as I stared embarrassingly at the tall, lean but muscular figure that stood by the door. I giulped loudly, and quickly averted my eyes.
I thought that Kian was the most handsome man I've ever met in all my twenty four years of existence. My sexy Adonis, as I always called him. But I was wrong, I thought as I stole another look at the man still rooted firmly by the door. If Kian was an adonis, this man right here was a god. I watched as his eyes, slanted, began to scan the room, clearly searching for someone. His gaze landed on me and the space between my thighs pooled. He smiled then, and I forgot to breathe.
I stood up, like someome enchamted and stalked rowaed him.
“Where are you going?” I heard Janet, or was it Janceta, asked.
“To fulfil my dare!” I shouted at them. Halfway through, the courage that skimmed through me moments ago began to dwindle. What if Janrt and Janceta were right? What if the Greek god rejected me right here in public? The humiliation would kill me. I swirled slightly on my feet but didn't stop.
I couldn't stop. It was almost like something was drawing me closer to the man. I stopped directly in front of him and stared into his eyes. His enchanting green eyes arrested me, traping me in place.
“My friends and I made a bet for me to kiss the first man who walks in here, and you happened to be that,” I raped. “If you could just pretend to kiss me, then I can win.” My eyes pleaded with him to understand my plight.
His eyes raked me from top to bottom. I shifted from foot to foot, suddenly unsure of what to do. He reached out and grabbed my hand. Before I could react, he jerked me to his body, and crashed his lips into mine. Stars exploded in my head as tiny butterflies flapped their wings in my lower belly. I trapped my legs together, trying to fight the lust building up within me.
“Open up, Storm.” he breathed against my lips.
Like someone hypnothized, I opened up to moan but he quickly swallowed it. By the time he released me, I was panting deeply. He trailed a finger under my chin, caressing me softly. I leaned toward him, wanting to feel his heat.
“So what do you say we get this party to my room?” He mouthed to me.
I should have ran then, but there was something deeply intoxicating about the man - and the fact that I was slightly tipsy - that I found myself nodding even as he held my hand and walked me up the stairs.
“Lucky bitch!” I heard Jancenta yell.
I threw my hamd to the back and gave her a fuck you sign. I was half intoxicated but my senses were alive and they begged for his touches. As if he shared in my intoxication, the moment he opened the door to a room, he swirled me off my feet and carried me to the bed. My eyes struggled to adjust in the dark.
“At least turn on the light,” I protested.
“Shhh.” he murmured against my neck. His tongue trailed along a vein until I felt it come alive, thumping with every wretched breath I dragged in, trying to steady my lust. Then, he grazed his teeth over the spot that was throbbing with the vein and I lost the last of my restraint.
“Fuck me,” I pleaded, my eyes closed.
The Greek god - I frowned as I realized I didn't even know his name - chuckled. I lifted my face, ready to ask him for his name. I stopped short and sucked in a breath when I saw that his once enchanting green eyes were now as black as the devil’s abyss. Startled, I jumped on my feet. He held me in place instantly, almost as if he already anticipated my move.
“Your eyes!” I cried.
“What happened to them?” he asked softly. He tilted my chin, forcing me to look up at him. I managed to peek, but they were back to their greenness, shining brightly even in the darkness that engulfed us. I blinked rapidly, suddenly unsure of myself. Perhaps, I was so drunk I had imagined it.
“Come here, Storm.”
Like someone under a spell, I inched closer to him. He laid me down gently on the bed and began to kiss me, softly, almost as if he was too scared to break me.
“Do you know how long I've waited for you?” he asked, his voice husky.
He kissed the top of my head.
“I’m never letting you go.” he kissed the base of my throat.
“Never again!” he said fiercely before kissing my collarbone.
And with each affirmation he made, he peeled off a layer of my dress and kissed my bare skin. By the time he positioned his cock at the centre of my pussy, I was hot all over.
“Mine!” he grunted and sank his teeth into my neck as he entered me in one fluid motion.
