Introduction
Raised in a society where lying is necessary to survive, Ethan Chase is a con man. Employed to control Julia, he views her as only another target, something to be completed and then forgotten. But when he gets involved in her life and is pulled to her kindness and resilience, the façade he worked so hard to create starts to fall apart.
Julia's world falls apart when she learns Ethan's true identity while looking into a large-scale money laundering operation. However, as she begins to reconstruct her life without him, she learns that Ethan was a part of a far larger criminal network that extends into the murkiest reaches of international terrorism. With their common enemy gaining ground, Julia is forced to collaborate with Ethan, who provides immunity in exchange for his insider knowledge.
They set out on a perilous journey to bring down the criminal organization together. To get out of a web of lies that puts their lives in danger, Julia has to rethink her love for the man who lied to her. Together, they have to find a way to bring down the criminal network.
In this high-stakes romantic thriller "Entangled by Deceit", love and devotion are put to the test at every step, and morality is muddled in the rush to survive.
Chapter 1
Julia
The noise from the TV droned on in the background, a blur of sound that was barely enough to drown out the silence of the apartment. Three months. That’s how long it had been since David passed. It felt surreal, like some twisted dream that I couldn’t wake up from. Friends and family had done their best to be there for me, but even they had to move on with their lives. And here I was, sitting on the couch, staring at a blank phone screen, trying to muster up the courage to open that app.
“You’re still young, Julia,” my boss, Lisa, had said just yesterday. Her voice was soft but firm, in that way that only she could manage. “You need to get back out there. David wouldn’t have wanted you to be alone.”
I knew she was right. David had been my rock, my partner, not just in life but in work too. We’d been on assignment together the night he collapsed. He always did have a tendency to push himself too hard, and he paid the ultimate price for it. It wasn’t fair, but then, nothing in life really was.
I glanced at the dating app on my phone, Lisa’s voice echoing in my mind. “Meet someone new,” she’d said. “Just talk to people. You’ll never know what might happen.”
My fingers hovered over the icon, and I took a deep breath before tapping it open. Immediately, a series of faces and names appeared, each profile a stranger with a smile and a caption that promised something unique. Or, at least, they all thought they did. I swiped through them, one by one, feeling a pang of guilt every time I saw a face I liked. Moving on felt wrong, like I was betraying David somehow, but the alternative was the cold emptiness that had consumed me since he was gone.
And then, I saw him. Ethan. He didn’t look like the other men on the app. His smile was soft, a little crooked, and he wore a simple t-shirt that looked like it had seen better days. His profile read, “Just a guy looking for something real in a world full of fakes.” I snorted, amused by the irony, but I couldn’t help but be intrigued. There was something genuine in his eyes, or at least it seemed that way from the photo. I could almost see a hint of pain hidden beneath the surface, a reflection of my own struggles, maybe.
I hesitated, my thumb hovering over the like button. This is just for fun, I told myself. It doesn’t have to mean anything. With a resigned sigh, I tapped it. A second later, the app notified me that we had matched. My heart did a little skip, something I hadn’t felt in a long time. Maybe Lisa was right. Maybe I did need this.
Ethan
Love? It was a word I had discarded a long time ago; a concept I’d convinced myself was nothing more than a fairy tale sold to people too afraid to face the truth. My parents had taught me that early on, their marriage a warzone of broken promises and shattered dreams. And then there was my brother, Thomas. We’d been inseparable, twins with a bond that most people could never understand. And then, just like that, he was gone. Brain tumor, they said, as if that could sum up the loss in two simple words. I was twelve years old, and the only person who ever really understood me was gone.
Since then, life had been about survival. I wasn’t stupid. I knew the world didn’t owe me anything, and I was damn sure it wouldn’t hand me anything on a silver platter. I found my way into the scam business young, and I thrived. I knew what women wanted, and I knew how to give it to them, or at least pretend I could. It was all about the performance, and I was a master at it.
So, when Julia’s profile came up, I didn’t think twice. She looked serious, with her hair pulled back and a look in her eyes that spoke of sleepless nights and hidden fears. She was exactly the type of woman I could manipulate, someone looking for comfort and companionship, maybe a little bit of security. Easy target.
I typed out a quick message: “Hi Julia, I’m Ethan. You look like you have an interesting story. Care to share?” I knew how to bait the hook, and I’d done it a thousand times before.
Her reply came faster than I expected. “Hi Ethan. Not much to tell, really. Just trying to get back out there.”
Her words were guarded, a little stiff, and I could almost hear the hesitation in them. It wasn’t the warm, eager response I usually got, but there was something intriguing about her reserve. For a moment, I found myself curious, genuinely curious, and that wasn’t something I could afford. Curiosity meant vulnerability, and I wasn’t in the business of making myself vulnerable.
Still, I replied. I couldn’t help it. “Getting back out there can be tough. Been there myself. But hey, maybe we can figure it out together?”
She sent back a smiley face, and I felt a strange flicker in my chest. It was almost imperceptible, but there was no denying it. I brushed it off. This was just another job, just another mark. I couldn’t let myself forget that. But as I set my phone down, I found myself wondering, for the first time in a long time, if maybe, just maybe, there was something more to this

How Not To Fall For A Dragon
Which is why it was more than a little confusing when a letter arrived with my name already printed on a schedule, a dorm waiting, and classes picked out as if someone knew me better than I knew myself. Everyone knows the Academy, it’s where witches sharpen their spells, shifters master their forms, and every kind of magical creature learns to control their gifts.
Everyone except me.
I don’t even know what I am. No shifting, no magic tricks, nothing. Just a girl surrounded by people who can fly, conjure fire, or heal with a touch. So I sit through classes pretending I belong, and I listen hard for any clue that might tell me what’s hidden in my blood.
The only person more curious than me is Blake Nyvas, tall, golden-eyed, and very much a Dragon. People whisper that he’s dangerous, warn me to keep my distance. But Blake seems determined to solve the mystery of me, and somehow I trust him more than anyone else.
Maybe it’s reckless. Maybe it’s dangerous.
But when everyone else looks at me like I don’t belong, Blake looks at me like I’m a riddle worth solving.
The Contract Wife: Marriage Of Malice
He didn't finish. He didn't need to.
I didn't tell him to stop.
Instead, my fingers curled into his shirt, clutching the fabric as though it was my only anchor. Something in him snapped—something he had been holding back for too long. His mouth found mine in a kiss that wasn't tender, but hungry, desperate.
I gasped into him, his hand sliding up to cup my jaw, holding me as if afraid I might vanish.
"You drive me insane," he breathed against my mouth, his lips trailing to my throat. "I can't lose you, Ella. Not you."
My head fell back, a soft sound escaping me as his fingers memorized my waist. My anger melted beneath his desperation.
"James..." I whispered, more plea than protest.
His hand caught mine, fingers threading together tightly. "I'll bring him back. I swear it. Just... don't turn away from me. Please."
The word please—low, ragged, almost broken—undid me more than anything else could have.
Ella never imagined she would marry the man she had secretly loved for years in such a way.
When her brother Theo faced twenty-five years in prison for massive embezzlement, the ruthless business tycoon James Lancaster offered her a deal: marry him in exchange for her brother's freedom.
This wasn't a fairy tale proposal, but a carefully orchestrated revenge. Because in James's heart, Ella was the culprit who had killed his sister Cecilia. He wanted her to pay the price—to atone with a lifetime of suffering.
The Spy Who Left
"I still can't believe she actually did it. Aria Hart, filing for divorce. Who saw that coming?"
"How long do we think it'll take before she comes crawling back?" Another voice joins the conversation.
"Three days," Victoria declares. "Five at most. She has no money, no skills, no family. Where's she going to go?"
When Aria Chen divorced billionaire Leon Hart, New York's elite sneered, betting she'd crawl back within days. She never did.
Three years later, the world is rocked when Dr. Aria Vale, CEO of a revolutionary cybersecurity empire, steps into the spotlight. The mysterious genius who built a billion-dollar company from nothing is none other than Leon's discarded wife, the woman everyone thought was just a pretty ornament.

Then Leon discovers the truth: Aria's sacrifices, her secret double life, and the daughter she's been raising without him. For the first time, the man who once took her for granted must fight for her love. But can he compete with men who valued her from the beginning?
A story of love, betrayal, and power where the king must kneel before the queen who never needed saving.
Bound by the Dragon Mafia
The head chef looked like he was silently praying for death.
I rushed forward. “Amara. Stop traumatizing these poor people.”
She spun around, delighted. “Sera! Good, you’re here. Taste this. It’s missing despair.”
The chef’s face morphed into existential crisis.
I grabbed her arm. “Put the spatula down.”
“But—”
“Down.”
With exaggerated offense, she dropped the spatula and muttered, “Fine. But if no one here has artistic vision, that’s not my fault.”
She went undercover to expose a mafia empire.
He offered her thirty nights to save her life.

The flowers beneath my mother's window turned black overnight. The herbs I gathered at dawn rotted in my hands. When the court wizard finally told me the truth—that someone cursed me, that my presence would kill everyone I love—I realized the prophecy everyone believed was never meant to save the kingdom. It was meant to destroy me.
So I ran. Not to fulfill some destiny, but to survive it.
Now I'm traveling with a hunter who lost his companions to the same curse I carry, chasing fragments of a prophecy the Fae sing differently. An elf took a baby from the palace the night I was born. And somewhere between the lies I've been told and the truth I'm hunting, I'm starting to suspect: What if I'm not the princess from the prophecy at all?
