Introduction
A thick in the head ladies man, that is on every college girl’s smash list.
Not Chloe, she’ll rather chow down gravel with a glass of acid than get anywhere near the arrogant Logan’s crusty boxers.
But… everything spirals from the day Chloe uses Logan to break up with her abusive, cheating boyfriend.
One minute, she wants to erase every trace of Logan’s existence in her life, the next due to her impulsive lie, she’s fake dating him; the hot basketball player.
And her whole life turns upside down for it.
Chapter 1
“I’ve had sex with him numerous times,” I said proudly to Nolan.
“You’re a whore,” Nolan said with disgust, his spit landing on my cheek.
I hate him!
Not this fool Nolan who wasn't worth the oxygen he was wasting, but our very own Troy Bolton of Northside College, Logan Carter who in my anger, I just claimed I was cheating with.
The very Logan Carter, who terrorized me when we were kids!
Mr Tall, Dark, and Handsome idiot, who was at the top of every girl's fuck list.
Not me! I wouldn't take him even if he was the last man on earth!
I had spent the better half of freshman year avoiding Logan. I had even gotten into a relationship with the captain of the Rugby team, Nolan Jenkins.
My brother had been against it, saying Nolan wasn't good for me, he was aggressive and violent.
Well, I hadn't listened.
It was precisely because my brother hated it that I went out with Nolan.
Over half a year and two black eyes later, I was now breaking up with Nolan Jenkins, captain of the rugby team—publicly to avoid a third ‘accidental’ black eye, because he did not know his own ‘strength’.
It took two black eyes and countless excuses on his behalf before I finally used my brain.
I even forgave his cheating because I stubbornly wanted my brother to be wrong.
Well, I was done with Nolan. I didn't care that my brother was right about him anymore.
I stared at Nolan who was shouting in my face.
“It's over between us. No one will ever love a whore like you!” He leaned in closer, his nostrils flared. “You think you’ll get away with cheating on me? I’ll post our tapes for the whole world to view.”
The bastard was mistaking me with Lily Evans, the tennis player he had repeatedly cheated on me with the entirety of our short relationship.
I had never had sex with Nolan.
I never felt comfortable enough to. Thank God!
I crossed my arms and raised my shoulders high, a big fat smirk on my face.
“You remember all those times I refused to have sex with you? I went straight to Logan every—single—time.”
I laughed in his face.
“Logan is far better than you could ever be—you can't ever compare to him.
I turned to leave, making sure to whip my blonde hair in his face.
Nolan could only watch me go, struck dumb and speechless by my words.
I practically catwalked away to my dorm.
That was the end of it, right?
What damage could possibly come from lying about sleeping with Logan Carter?
I had only used his name to take a jab at Nolan’s enormous ego.
I frowned, recollecting my ordeal at Logan’s hands.
Being called a grunt, shrimp, four eyes…
You may be thinking, ‘that's not so bad’.
Imagine everyone calling you these names, following in the footsteps of their overlord, ostracizing and mocking you from elementary school all the way to high school. With the occasional shove into the locker, let's not forget that.
Even though Logan had moved away in the 7th grade, my life didn't get better.
I still remembered how naive I had been. When I had first heard Logan was moving from California to Dakota with his parents, I had run home, red-faced and happy—just to find out that no one shared in my enthusiasm.
My brother was sad his precious best friend was leaving, and my parents were disheartened that the ‘sweet boy Logan’ was going away.
I went upstairs and blasted celebratory music—I was labeled heartless by my dear brother who never saw anything wrong with what Logan did.
Eventually, all of that became part of the past—at least, that’s what I told myself when I got into the prestigious Northside College.
It would be a clean slate for me, I would finally have everything I deserved.
Friends, boyfriends. Plus none of those birdbrains from high school would be there.
Except the thorn in my side that I called a brother. He somehow made it through on scholarship for the Northside College basketball team.
The drive to Northside had been silent. My brother and I had perfected the art of mutually hating each other.
The first week had been blissful. I avoided my brother and told no one I was related to him.
When I found out golden boy Logan also gotten admission into Northside, I also avoided him like the plague he was.
As suspected, he and my brother quickly resumed their ‘friendship’.
I however resumed my hate for him.
Hopefully, today would be the last time I would mention Logan’s name in this lifetime.
When night came, I retired to bed eagerly.
Tomorrow will be a new day. Perfect and rinsed of the mess of today.
The next morning, I smiled brightly as I woke up and reached for my phone.
My jaw dropped as I scrolled through the notifications.
Some genius had gotten their camera out and filmed the entire thing—the entire breakup with Nolan, and me pretending to salivate about Logan.
Everything was up on this asshole’s YouTube channel.
I was trending on every college forum and group chat as the slut who cheated on the amazing Nolan Jenkins.
And Logan? He was getting the same hate surely, right?
No, no, no, no! He was getting praised for banging even more pussy.
‘Mr steal your girl back,’ they called him.
Because apparently, Nolan had slept with a girl that Logan was seeing at the start of the year. They all saw this as payback from Logan.
I scrolled through the comments desperately, realizing I had helped Logan boost his reputation on campus, and simultaneously tanked mine at the same time.
Vulgar memes were flying about me that I couldn't begin to describe. Surely, this was illegal in some capacity.
I had tons of DMs on Instagram from several dudes trying to hit the ‘cheap pussy.’ One of my several new nicknames.
And, that was not the worst of it.
I was now staring at two text messages that had just popped up on my phone.
One was from my brother; ‘Wtf, how can my twin sister be sleeping with my best friend? Call me immediately or I’m telling mum. I just can’t believe you, Chloe!’
I rolled my eyes at it.
Did he think we were still twelve?
Oh, and yeah… did I mention my brother and I were twins?
Not like it mattered, I guarantee you’ve never seen two people more different in your life.
Another, from an unknown number.
‘Meet up? Logan.’
My eyes narrowed on seeing the message.
My blood boiled, my vision even doubled in rage.
I should be embarrassed that he had seen the video, but I was angrier than anything.
Who the hell gave this asshole my number?

"Are you sure you don't want me to touch you?" He whispers, untying the knot and slipping a hand inside. "Because I swear to God, that is all I have been wanting to do. Every single day from the moment you stepped in our bar and I smelled your perfect flavor from across the room."

Now I’m bound by a faerie bargain and navigating a world of glamour, manipulation, and ancient rules I definitely should have learned sooner, enchanted forests, political games, magical contracts, and a fae lord who treats seduction like a perfectly reasonable negotiation tactic.

Glamour is how he draws them in.
And apparently, they just don’t mix.
