In Love With The Mate Who Denied Me

Axel’s POV

A deep guttural growl escaped from Kael's throat as I thrust deeper into him. His back arched off the bed as my lips hazily trailed down his naked body, the room was rented with the sound of our ragged breathing and incessant pounding.

“Oh my god.…yes.” He moaned loudly, grabbing my arms.

I tried to pull out but he grabbed my hands and slid it right back in and kissed me fiercely, the atmosphere reeked of passion and the thrum of our hearts resonated the intoxicating electricity that sparked between us, in-between the sweat and ear-deafening moans, we were lost in a blissful ecstasy.

“Oh, I f*cking love you Axel.” Kael moaned, I heard a creak and dismissed it as his hands were now on the bedframe, for support.

“What in the devil’s name is going on here!”

Kael’s grip on me loosened and he pushed me away, scrambling to cover himself and I turned around to see Alpha Kaid, his expression darkened and his jaw clenched in anger.

“D-dad..” Kael stuttered.

Alpha Kaid looked at us in disgust, as he took a step closer, his voice was low and menacing.

“What the hell is happening here?” he growled.

I gulped in nervously as my palms suddenly became sweaty, disregarding my nudity, I had my head held high, it was time to drop the bombshell.

“Alpha Kaid, I am-“

“Dad it’s not what you think! He seduced me because he knows I’ll be alpha.” Kael spluttered and I froze in shock.

“What?” I asked as a pang of betrayal hit me.

Kael scoffed and slipped on a shorts. I knew he was terrified of his homophobic father but so was I. I grabbed his hands, ready to fight for our love.

“Tell him Kael, We’re in love! I know you’re scared of your father but us? We have this connection that-“

“Let go of me you shameless seducer!” he yelled as he yanked his hand free of mine.

Alpha Kaid’s scowl morphed into rage, a surge of rage oozing from him towards me.

“How dare you utter such lies after seducing me into this abominable act with you?” Kael chastised.

I was lost for words at his sudden denial, his words cut deep, leaving me helpless and distraught.

“How dare you try to make a move on my son?” Alpha Kaid thundered, I looked at Kael, hoping for some sort of plea or guilt in his eyes but he looked away and I broke-into million pieces.

My knees turned jelly and I crashed on the ground, all voices turned distorted and distant and the last thing I heard before the father-son duo walked out was that I was under house-arrest, forbidden to step foot outside. The guards rushed in and forcefully tied me to the bedstead.

The concept of time had no meaning to me as I failed to realize a full day had passed by since my house-arrest. I kept replaying the scene that broke what’s left of my sanity. I love Kael, wholeheartedly and he loves me too.

His father is known to be homophobic hence we kept our relationship a secret, hoping to be together once he becomes alpha, then-then no one would question our relationship but now? I’m lost.

“Did you hear that the Alpha’s son is throwing an engagement party for his mate and future Luna of the pack?”

I snapped out of my confusion, attracted to the gossip I just heard.

“Oh yes, Kael is getting engaged to Amelia tomorrow, it’s an old news.” The other guard replied.

I felt a deep pit in my stomach-Riven was getting engaged? Suddenly; the room felt like a prison-the wall closing in on me with every passing second. Everything blurred in a haze of heartache and loneliness.

‘This can’t be happening.’ I muttered to myself, unsure of how to react.

Consumed by the thoughts of Kael getting engaged to a woman, I felt suffocated.

‘No!’ I yelled, decisively.

There was no way I’d let it happen. I figured as I clenched my jaw tightly-I needed to leave this place, Kael owes me an explanation. That night, I escaped after successfully getting the guards distracted.

The mansion was lit with decorations. Music and laughter resonated in the air and with every step I took, my fear intensified. I caught sight of Kael, he looked dangerously handsome, a smile plastered on his face and he held a girl clothed in an equally elegant dress, delicately as if she were tender.

Without thinking, I walked up to them, my lips twitched, in anger.

“Kael.” I called out, catching his attention.

His expression turned sour as his eyes fell on me. “You? What’re you doing here?” he asked, frowning.

I scoffed in disbelief. “What am I doing here?” I retorted and sneered at Amelia. “Does she know? No-do they all know of our relationship? That you’re in love with me?” I questioned, rather loudly to gain their attention.

“What relationship could I possibly have with a shameless and disgusting homosexual Omega like yourself?” he insulted, loudly and his words disrupted my soul, the room erupted into chaos.

“What did you just say?” I asked, my voice shaky.

He smirked evilly. “You certainly do not expect me to stoop as low as having a relationship with you.”

Instantly, I felt myself drowning in pain, before I could retort, Alpha Kaid stepped in.

“This shameless homosexual thinks he can seduce my son in order to earn himself a status in the pack.” He jested and everyone laughed at me.

The music was now replaced with slurs, insults and fruits being thrown at me by the pack members.

“Owning to the crime of defamation, homosexuality and shameless seduction, you’re to be arrested and thrown into the prison, guards!” alpha Kaid pronounced.

I looked at Kael, hoping for a glimmer of hope, remorse, anything but I found indifference and disgust-he joined them to laugh at me. As I was thrown into prison, I felt a dagger bore through my heart, and as life seeped at out me, I spat out a mouthful of blood.

I realized a tad too late that I’d lost everything-my freedom, my dignity, my heart and now, my life.
