Introduction
Sparks and electricity jolts ignited from everywhere we touched which was practically all over my body as my entire form was pressed into his.
I was very still in his arms, my body so tense as confusion wrecked over me. The kind of things I felt earlier from Dylan appeared again, only that it was more intense this time.
Ariella thought her life would fall into despair after being rejected by her fated mate Dylan, but fate led her to meet her second chance mate, and everything became different.
She was afraid and wanted to reject the man in front of her - Ares, who was the king of this country and the leader with bloody hands, but gradually fell into his possessive love.
So, can she successfully overcome all obstacles and become a qualified queen?
Chapter 1
Chapter One: Rejected.
Ariella
“I shouldn't be here, I'm not meant to be here at all." I mumbled to myself as i walked over to the clearing where the full moon celebration was taking place.
Only full werewolves and mated ones are meant to be outside, but something kept pushing me to just go. I turned eighteen five minutes ago and my entire body felt like mush ever since then.
I didn't know what it was, but it was almost like a pull towards that clearing.
Just as I got there, I smelt the mkst delicious scent ever, it was a mixture of cedar and the aftermath of rain. It was so relaxing that I felt my nerves calming down immediately.
“What's this scent?" I asked myself over the noise in the clearing, there were at least fifty people here and I still couldn't pinpoint where the scent was coming from.
I looked around the clearing till my eyes went to the door that led to the pack house, it suddenly opened and the main source of the scent came out.
An exhilarating feeling washed over me as my eyes made contact with the glowing blue orbs, I could have sworn that this was what they called cloud nine, because it felt like I was really on cloods.
He moved closer to me, making his comforting scent get even closer and made me more intoxicated. Dylan came to stand before me, the bond was rapidly snapping into place.
“Who are you?" His deep husky voice that I suddenly wanted to hear for forever said to me.
“I'm- I'm your mate." I mumbled with a smile on my face, I just couldn't help but continue smiling.
He dip his hands in his pockets, making him more feminine, I just wanted to jump him right there. I saw that he smelt my arousal too with the way his eyes glistened.
I found myself jumping on him when I couldn't control myself anymore, my hands going around him. Being this close to him felt so surreal, his smell that had quickly turn into my favorite now closer too.
I suddenly felt him detaching, my heart ached at the action. His eyes remained cold and dark, no warmth in them at all, not even towards me his mate.
“What’s your name?” He asked. His deep velvety voice made the heartbreaking feeling I was feeling ebb away immediately.
"Ariella, Ariella Knight."
“I, Dylan Reid of the shadow moon pack rejects you Ariella Knight as my mate and Luna."
There was suddenly pin drop silence around us, it was the splitting pain that attacked my head that made me realize what just happened; he just rejected me.
My head went numb for a while till my entire body felt like it was set on fire. My body hit the ground and I didn't even know, my legs were too weak to support me.
I screamed and spasmed on the ground till I was okay enough to open my eyes and see that I was left alone on the ground like a fowl.
What have I ever done to deserve this? The pain was so much, way worse than how my monthly flow does, it was like my skin was torn open and hot lava was poured on it.
‘The pain won't stop if you don't accept the rejection.’ A voice said in my head.
Accept the rejection, how? I've never done this before, how am i even meant to know how to.
“I accept the rejection." I said through choky breathes, hoping that would work. The pain reduced by half and I felt the strained bond between us snap into two.
I stood up and dusted my body, my entire body still ached a lot but it wasn't like earlier that I couldn't even sit up.
“What's that name again?" I saw someone's foot stop before me, making me lift up my head from the ground.
It was Celine, Dylan's betrothed. They're meant to mate in the morning.
“Ariella." I mumbled quietly.
“You know you crossed your boundaries by being my man's fated mate." The evil smirk on her face would make anyone scared, but it only makes me want to strangle her.
“I didn't pair us, the moon goddess did."
“Look, she even has the effontery to talk back at me." She chuckled dryly.
We have managed to gather a little amount of crowd around us. My back straightened up and a dull pain appeared in my chest as Dylan stepped up behind her.
“Is she causing you trouble?” I almost thought he was talking to me because his eyes didn't stray from me, but the moment he bent down to kiss her shoulder, i knew otherwise.
"Yes, she just talked back at me, she even insulted you on top.” Dylan was before me faster than I could say any word.
His hand went to my neck and he lifted me up with it. I started coughing violently at the loss of breath.
“You dare talk back at your Luna, mutt. You're nothing but a piece of trash, that's all you'll ever be, don't even think anything will change because the moon goddess made the mistake of pairing us."
His eyes glowered at me.
"I ne-ver said anyth-ing will change.” I squeezed out the words while clawing at his hands to be let go.
"Did you just f*cking talk back at me?!" The growl that followed that grabbed the attention of everyone around this time.
His hold on my neck tightened as my legs went higher in the air. He suddenly threw me to the ground, I was grabbed by another pair of strong arms.
The sweat that was oozing off them and how strong their arms were on me made me realize immediately that I had just been handed over to the warriors, this sure won't end well.
“Deal with her!" Dylan yelled at them.
“What? I didn't even do anything, I didn't tell the moon goddess to pair us together too, let me go!" I yelled.
A smack on the face by one of the warriors made me stop talking, I tasted blood in my mouth immediately. Pack members watched as I was dragged away by those men, most people looked away and continued what they were doing.
Angry tears fell from my eyes at being so vulnerable and weak that anyone could walk over me, treat me as they liked yet nothing would hsppen.
I was dragged weakly to the dungeon, I didn't say anything after the slap.
The moment I was thrown into one of the rooms, my eyes closed by their selves, I didn't know if it was the weakness for thr rejection or another thing, but I fell unconscious.
~
I jolted upright as cold water was suddenly dumped on me, my body went into shock for some seconds.
“Rise and shine mutt." A familiar voice met my ears. The room was really dark that I didn't see who it was, but the lights suddenly came on, revealing Celine's face.
“So, I thought we'd finish what you started earlier, what do you think?"
“What do you want with me?" I asked weakly.
“Maybe to make sure you're no longer a threat, I want you permanently gone."
“Then let me go."
“Now that wouldn't he very interesting, I can't kill you just like that."
My heart missed a beat at her words, I thought she was talking about the normal letting me go and not death.
"What are you saying?” I asked with my heart beating so fast like it would fall out of my chest.
"Just watch! Guards!" The evil smile on her face was like one that would be on a child's face, she looked so happy.
Two warriors stepped in, they were both bare, both putting on only boxers.
“You know what to do with her.” Celine said as she stepped backwards, that evil glint in her eyes.
They both nodded and moved closer to me.
"Just let me go, Celine. I won't even come back or come around this pack again.”
"Unfortunately, that's too late. You're not going out of this pack alive. But I need them to have some fun with you before that. Enjoy y'all!” She ran out of the room and locked the door behind her.
“Get the f*ck away from me!" I yelled as they got uncomfortably closer to me. The chains I was held with stopped me from moving away, so I was in one spot while their hands started roaming my busy.
The fun Celine was talking about was actually them having their way with me.
“Let me go!" I yelled as I kicked my body the way I could, one of them was now fondling my breast while the other kissed down my neck.
Tears streamed down my face as hopelessness gripped my entire form, no one was coming to save me and they'd really end up taking my virginity while i die just like that.
What a remarkable way to spend my birthday.
Just as they tore my clothe, yells from outside made them stop. Different shouts came from outside and they stopped completely.
A loud growl that shook the entire building met my ears, it made my aching head go soft like jelly as I went unconscious.
But just before I completely cl
osed my eyes, I could have sworn that I saw blazing red eyes take down the iron bars and say the word I now hate the most.
“Mate!"

My breathing accelerated, small sounds escaping my throat as he explored my body. His touches were both punishment and pleasure, drawing shudders from me that I thought he felt reverberating through his own body.
